While some may consider them competitors, Joe McGinniss has nothing but kind words of support for Geoffrey Dunn's book.

I’ve gotten to know Jeff over the past couple of years. It has been a privilege and it continues to be a joy. People might tend to think that two authors working on books about the same subject would view one another, at best, as rivals. More often than not, that’s probably true. But Jeff and I have never felt that way. We have been open and honest with each other from the start and we’ve never felt ourselves to be in competition. We have, in fact, helped each other as much and as often as we could along the way. Just checking my emails, I see that Jeff and I have corresponded more than 150 times since I left Alaska last September. And that’s in addition to the time we’ve spent talking on the phone.

So there’s no rivalry here: Bravo, il mio grande amico! Tanti auguri!

I have also recently finished reading Geoffrey's book "The Lies of Sarah Palin: The Untold Story Behind Her Relentless Quest for Power" and I can tell you that it is magnificent.

There was much I did not know, and much more that I had forgotten.  Jeff has done an amazing job of laying bare the truth of just who Sarah Palin is, and though there are certainly more truths yet to be told, his book leaves no doubt as to just what kind of person the Grizzled Mama is, and always has been.

It is also noteworthy that those who have come together to reveal these truths about one of the most divisive political figures of our time, have become fast friends who have shared information and provided each other support, all while working to reveal to America the truth that lurks behind the Palin mythologies.

I have also enjoyed that same sense of camaraderie with these two great men, as well as among my fellow bloggers, who have also selflessly shared information, provided much needed emotional and moral support, and promoted each others accomplishments like members of a close knit family.

With only one notable exception, I have to say that I have found working with these dedicated professionals to be an amazing and uplifting experience. 

Sarah Palin had millions of dollars at her disposal and a plethora of media support that made her a force to be reckoned with.  All we had was our dedication, our now virtually worn out  keyboards, and our desire to tell a truth that she desperately did not want told.

Jeff Dunn's magnificent book is the first of three truly devastating broadside hits that will pierce the seemingly impervious hull of the Sarah Palin battleship and forever sink it into the murky depths of obscurity.

And to that all I have to say is, good riddance!
