Flippin unbelievable . Wouldn't you think they ' d be afraid of being proved wrong when they rumor around the building like that ? Sounds like The Bristol rumor was started and continues via Lyda ' s office . ( Namely , Portia Babcock - Lyda's COS , Tuckerman ' s sister ( Tuckerman being Lyda ' s new son - in-law), former spouse of Kyle Parker ( the oil / gas lobbyist busted for working with Ruedrich while at AOGCC ), now girlfriend of Ralph Samuels ... all those attributes all rolled into one Portia.
Anyway, a former leg staffer heard the discussion at a rest, in Wasilla , evidently sitting near Lyda's people ... she passed it on again today to folks at my sister ' s church ... it's pretty pathetic.
Bristol does want it squashed - we just don ' t know how to do so without making it a bigger issue . Can you feel out Wesley and McAllister to see if that ' s where they got the rumor, as others are saying it's Lyda ' s office . I figured it was them or Bitney.
And that was not the ONLY time this "rumor" was discussed in the e-mails.

Okay so here is my quandary.
If Bristol gave birth on December 27, 2008, and Tripp Johnston was carried to full term, then in fact it is improbable that Bristol was pregnant on April 6, but could very well have been already pregnant on April 22, but there is NO WAY anybody could have possibly known that since, according to Levi, even Bristol did not know until May.
Yet so strong were these rumors that even after Sarah faked Trig's birth, they refused to go away.
In fact they did not seem to diminish at all until the McCain campaign announced that Bristol was pregnant.
Now just to make things interesting let's add to the mix that both Mercede and her mother claimed that Levi and Bristol had been TRYING to get pregnant.
So while there were already rumors that Bristol was pregnant, and she was complaining to her mom about them, she was actively TRYING to get pregnant?
And after trying for months to quell the rumor that her daughter was pregnant, Palin did not hesitate to scream that fact from the rooftops when she realized that she needed to do something to put the faked pregnancy rumors to rest or risk losing her shiny new VP slot.
No matter how you look at this, or who you want to believe, something STILL smells very fishy indeed.
I think those early April rumors reference people gossiping about the possibility that Bristol is Trigs mother. That rumor is the one Lyda et al were perpetuating.

I'm interested in the Nov wedding Bristol attended with the family and finding out JUST WHEN she left WHS. Because she was an active, content student at the start of the school year.
Holy flipping A, Lyda now will have to tell the truth. If Mark is a man he will back her up and his family with personally seeing Bristol fully knocked up drinking and smoking in May 2007.

You know, Bristol's schooling makes sense if you really thnk about it. Of course she needed summer school. She went to 3 schools in 1.5 years. J-D (spring 07), Wasilla (fall 07), Anch. (spring 08)
ReplyDeletei think she left school in march 08 because of the rumor mill and people gossiping about her being Trigs mother. That probably pissed her off as it would any girl. Anytime the mother of a teen girl is pregnant late in life, there will be speculating that baby is said girl's. So, take that frustration and add to it the fact that Wasilla High class of 08 has the highest teen birth rate in the area, and voila. Not so hard to determine the causes of Tripp.
Also add to that, Bristol and Levi's relationship quickly went downhill starting in May 08 (Sadie referenced this on myspace) and we know Sadie's drama.
And yes, the BRistol internship in TX? June 08 is interesting.
I'll tell you what smells fishy...obviously these rumors bothered Sarah enough to spend a lot of time writing about it. So far most of the emails I've seen within her circle of players (Ivy, Frank, Erica, Janice, Todd) are just a line or two- with her using the letter "U" for the word "you" and generally sounding like a teen who is texting friends.

She states that Bristol is upset by the rumors and is being forced to respond to girlfriends calling her and asking about them. This was on 4/22- days after Trig's "birth" and certainly long enough for her to get together a few photos (you know, like the photo of the tired new parents with the red, wrinkly babe in arms, taken by EVERYONE who has had a baby and owns a camera in the last 40 years) and a picture of the hospital bracelets both bearing Sarah's name.
But she did nothing. She let the rumors persist, despite the fact she herself admitted how much the rumors were "sick" and upsetting to Bristol.
The fact that Sarah Palin did not release easily obtained proof nor make a definitive statement at this time ("these rumors are insane. Trig is my biological son and I gave birth to him") is the biggest "smoking gun" in this whole charade.
Why not present a few photos and a one paragraph statement from CBJ or the hospital?
Why not, indeed. This definitely falls under the "can't squeeze blood (or amniotic fluid) from a flat, never pregnant in 2008 stone.
When I read any of this stuff, I always wonder how any governing was going on. If she does rear her head on the campaign trail, it needs to be pounded into the media that Alaska has fewer people than Indianapolis. Largest state, my ass. Bears don't need much governing (of course their habitat needs protection).

ReplyDeleteI agree, it's fishy. They want us to believe at the same time Bristol was upset and trying to quell rumors through her mother, that she was trying to conceive? I believe the trying to conceive part, because other girls her age were popping out babies too, and she was miserable and wanted something to love. (Even now, with lots of $$$$, Bristol was still so miserable with herself that she had to have a complete face change). So as a teen, it's totally believable she wanted a baby.
ReplyDeleteThe problem with sorting out the truth, is that this family lies so much, so you don't know what part is true and what's fabricated. In fact, I don't think many of these emails are real, and are spontaneous thoughts of Sarah, either. I remember discussing an email on another blog some months ago, and the email was totally not her style of speaking. With some of these emails, I'm not saying all, but with some I think someone else wrote them or she planted them. This is official email, not a private email account, so I think generally she'd be very aware of the fact that it can be intercepted or brought out later. If she made up letters to the editor, why wouldn't she make up emails too?
Well, on the face of it, the efforts openly discussed in the emails to quash the rumors would have been COMPLETELY UNNECESSARY if the rumors weren't true! Why bother? If Bristol wasn't pregnant, and had never been pregnant, that would have become perfectly obvious in a matter of at most 4 months when she wasn't showing.

Especially since in the election eve letter CBJ said (or some McCain operative said, & signed CBJ's name to it) that Palin followed the normal course of perinatal care for a DS fetus. Which, for the uninitiated...is a crapload of dr appts, ultrasounds, glucose fasting tests, protein-in-the-pee checks, etc etc etc.
Saying CBJ contacted her personally- in JAN 08...tells me the hoax was indeed hastily thrown together and started in March.

From my knowledge and perspective all the above is extremely far out there eg the governor lying by omission,....and hell Palin lies eroding her credibility.
All the factors for a classic scenario of pregnant teen sent away to deceive people and a parent lying adopting the baby are there.
Sadly, it is the teen getting negative attention as a consequence of the mother's habitual cover ups, practiced deceit and lies of omission constant pulling one over on people.
Gryphen, This was when Bristol was pregnant with Trig, the cover-up. Notice the date of the email April 22, 2008 four days after Trig was "born" Sarah states she had been to Trig's Doctor with Trig that morning? Who has to go back with a newborn four days after birth?

There is nothing that can be done, regardless of whether they are true or false. In her case, it would appear she had hopes for a lasting coverup of some kind, and she knew she was petitioning professional liars?
Btw, I agree with some assessments that these emails show how obsessed Palin and her staff were with PR spin and with networking.
What's interesting to me is that so many adults are involved in "quashing this rumor". I work with kids and I have to tell you - rumors that so and so is pregnant are rampant...I always say, well...I guess you'll know in 9 months, huh?

This is her tactic for rumors that happen to be true. Remember the emails to Steve Schmidt regarding AIP Todd? She claimed that a lot of people were talking about it and wanted him to "refudiate" it.

It's not unusual to have to take a newborn back for a checkup within a week of giving birth. However, we really don't know if this is the case with Trig, since we don't know with certainty what his birth date is.
It's pretty hilarious that people think Bristol has ever been under Sarahs control. Were you a teenage girl? btw reading the emails in chronology, Bristol doesn't seem to be unhappy at all in late 07 or early 08. I think we all need to wipe our slate clean and start over. There are so many lies told by everyone that we are all confused.

I think these emails relate to the Trig pregnancy. They were allowed through because most people would connect them with the Tripp pregnancy.
ReplyDeleteI'll say it again: Bristol had Trig in late 2007. She then tried to get pregnant again (because of his DS and because her mother wouldn't let her keep him) , and succeeded. It's when her mother found out about the second pregnancy that Sarah decided to fake being pregnant and claim the still hospitalized Trig as her own. She figured her political aspirations could survive if one of Bristol's pregnancies became known, but if both became known it would bury her.
ReplyDeleteBristol's bust was padded at the Convention to make her look LESS pregnant, not more, same as was done on DWTS. Bristol had the baby in October, which is why her belly fluctuated so strangely late in the campaign. It's also why she was able to race across the ice to church just a few days before Tripp was supposedly "born" because he already was born. The reason for fiddling the dates was because Sarah lied to the GOP when they asked her if there was any scandal. How could she later admit to them she'd known her daughter was PG?
It's also why no photos of Tripp were seen until he was presented as a HUGE baby in February.
It always struck me as conveniently coincidental that Bristol was five months pregnant and Trig was said to be five months old. We always thought that there was something fishy about Tripp's birth, but many thought it was because she delivered later. Didn't occur to anyone that she delivered him earlier.

ReplyDeleteNot unusual to take a newborn to pediatrician a few days after birth. My daughter was full term but had jaundice. She had two doctor visits before she was a week old and we had even stayed in the hospital for three days following her c-sect.birth. She was a normal baby not special needs like Trig.
So taking a baby to doctor after discharge from hospital is not that strange.
Again, she is so concerned with Bristol's feelings and squashing the rumors but not concerned enough to man up and furnish an official Birth Certificate to prove without a doubt that she (SP) gave birth to that child. Makes no sense...except in Bizarro World...and Wasilla.
ReplyDeleteGryph, this is OT, but one of the nasty little things happening with the emails is that the cadre of attorneys working for over two years to redact anything and everything conveniently didn't redact the personal contact information of people who emailed the governor to complain about her. That information is now all over the internet, including people I know. I also wrote at least one scathing email to the queen, and I'm waiting to see if that one shows up in public too, with MY contact info. Cute, huh? Thanks, Sarah, you fucking bitch. I have no doubt it was done on purpose.

She was 16 weeks and the baby failed to thrive. We were pretty devastated but she got pregnant with our second child within 45 days of the miscarriage. Can happen
ReplyDeleteThe photo of Bristol and Levi seems more to show a woman wearing pads/towels because she is nursing and leaking like crazy. Those aren't Fake Hooters, they are there to soak up breast milk as is the black dress there to cover up wetspots. Now she's pregnant but nursing in the photo? No chance unless Trig is hers and you can easily stretch the timing of Trig to get her pregnant in plenty of time for the Dec Tripp arrival
Willow backlashes and gets locked in the house, Piper is growing up and she'll hit the crossroad soon enough - vacation might have closed that one out. So she's a narcissistic control freak whose life, as it pertains to her children, is spiraling our of her control. And her political career isn't doing much better. She can crow there's nothing there but there are many more questions today than five days ago. And many small confirmations that make the time tables much clearer. Those emails and discovery will be around for months.
OT - the image of Sara and Jesus reminded me of the computer programer in the Bond flick who kept saying -
"I am invincible" before he ends up a frozen brick of tissue at the end.

Why get pregnant again? Well, what say Bristol wanted to have a baby with Levi. They get pregnant, the rumors go round, Bristol gets "Mono" and when they find out the baby is DS (which might have happened at birth btw), Bristol didn't want a "retard" as the Palins called him so she went out to make a "perfect" baby and left Sara holding the bag of the baby. That makes some sense about the Trig at the convention looking older than Sara's schedule because he is. So in the classic dysfunctional family Sara is a complete maniac, toxic to the core, and the people she abuses fight back when they can. Toad goes to strippers, Bristol gets pregnant - gets her baby and tosses it aside because it's not perfect and mom has to step up and cover her tracks. So while the kids and hubby get abused by mom, they know how to get payback. Awful way to live.

ReplyDeleteIn all honesty, Gryphen, why were those emails not scrubbed, seriously? I don't know if I believe those at all. Can emails be "faked"? Dates given and then thrown in with this batch to add more confusion? I, for one, am not buying these. How precious to add another layer to all of the other lies already out there just to divert all of us. Yeah, I've been there too 6:11. I was a very mature 14 when my mom had my youngest sister. I'm sure those who didn't know my mom (and had seen her actually quite huge with a pregnancy - no scarf would've hid that bump) thought my sis was my kid.
Of course, my mom has pics of her in the hospital with a very not-post-partum me by her side while she was holding little sis in her hospital bed. Mom had a c-section, so she had an IV for a while with pain meds.
Oh, and there is a birth certificate with my parents' names on it for little sis.
There wouldn't have been any hand-wringing 'what do we do to squash these terrible rumors about this persecuted famileeeee!!!' screeching going on if someone tried to claim my sis was my daughter. Probably just laughter as my mom pulled out all the evidence to the contrary. By the way, lil sis is now 19 and I'm 33 -- this wasn't a child just born a couple of years ago and my mom can still put her hands on any docs, pics, etc. she'd need to in order to prove maternity.

When our two kids were in utero we had names for them even though we didn't know their sex. So my daughter was Zeke, in honor of Zeke Bratkowski of the Green Bay Packers, and my son was Fawlty, in honor of Basil Fawlty of Fawlty Towers. All our friends called them those names right up until their birth. There are still old family journals talking about X (my daughter after she was born) and Fawlty for example Instead we see this "baby" when in fact she knew the sex of Trig, at least I thought she did

This is what I think happened. Bristol gives birth to premie Trig in Feb 08. When it's obvious that Trig will survive, Sarah pressures Bristol to let her adopt him. When Bristol refuses, Sarah announces that she is pregnant herself. Bristol gets mad at her mom's dirty trick and then tries to conceive again to get back at her mom.

It was some discussion board, I wish I could remember...Anyway, someone had posted a pic of Sarah and Bristol, who was holding a brand new (or two month old) Trig. The pic was a side shot of Bristol wearing a black dress. She looked very post partum to me, with huge boobs and a post pregnancy belly. I can't find the pic and haven't seen it posted anywhere else since. Does anyone else remember this pic?

There was so much shape-shifting going on during both of the Palin pregnancies.
ReplyDeleteWho knows what to think of the bolster bosom seen on B's chest during the first "presentation"in August. I can only recall seeing a couple photos of her after that, and few (none?) after the election. But it was very puzzling to get that glimpse of Bristol attending the church after the fire of Dec. 13. She was with Pop, and sisters and she lagged behind and then ran ahead. Even with a coat on, she appeared less pregnant there than she did during the convention. I think in reality she would have been big-as-a-house by then.
I guess I'm just delusional but I still don't believe Trig is Bristol's. Until proven wrong I think Bristol was caught up in the Trig thing because it made most sense to most people but I think it was highly unlikely that Bristol became pregnant again so close to her just giving birth to her first child (tho it can happen)
ReplyDeleteI still think Trig is Track's kid. And being that Track was still young, not married, in trouble this was a story that needed protection. Bristol just got thrown under the bus as her mother refused to chose to protect her darling son at Bristol's expense. Bristol's rumor, I believe, was just a second headache to what was already going on. Protection still needed to be put in place and Bristol just had to toughen up and wait till that was accomplished (ie. the pleading to do something about the rumors)
If it wasn't Bristol...or Sarah's kid whose was it and why would she take on the role of mother again at her age and in her political position with a husband who is virtually in name only at this point?
And then of course BINGO Bristol really becomes pregnant, via her plan to escape with Levi, and the drama continues.
Well that's it and Yep, I'm probably certifiable but make most sense to me.

Couple of possible scenarios.
ReplyDeleteBristol missed a period, was not pregnant, did a home pregancy test. Performed it worng or read it worng and thinking she was pregnant, went and blubbered or blabbered to a friend or to Levi, who told friends or family and then the gossip mill went into action. (Could the rumor have preceded the actual Bristol pregnancy, thus increasing the probability that it was startedby Sarah?)
A month or so later Bristol actually got pregnant.
Bristol missed a period, as above, gossip started by her or Levi, was pregnant but quickly miscarried. Then a month or two later got pregnant and it stuck.
Bristol was not pregnant in the early spring but Sarah was shopping for a disabled child to pretend was hers to boost her pro life politics cred's, and to mask that shopping trip Sarah started a rumor about Bristol.
Bristol decided "Hey why not make it real," and she and Levi went to work. (For how long a time did Sadie think Levi and Bristol were "trying" to get pregnant.
So then what does Sarah do, when a possible VP position might be offered her beside make up a bunch of her lame brained lies. And she and Bristol get to exchange fake pregnancy bellies.
There really is no logical reason for Sarah and Todd to not have adopted a disadvantaged child. Why did Sarah need to fake a pregnancy?
One answer is she is nuts, and she loves over dramatization.
Obviously one was to cover Bristol's pregnancy, but if it was their intention for it to go to term there was no point in denying it.
Unless Sarah was trying to force Bristol to have an abortion.
Maybe Bristol had a good reason to make sure a lot of people knew she was preggers before telling her parents. Maybe she was creating ¨insurance¨ for herself that what happened in her first pregnancy would not happen with Tripp.

sarah could have made Bristol hide the pregnancy. The baby could have been born premie, taken care of by Dar, and later snatched away from Bristol.

Something should be done about the fact Todd Palin got copies of all the emails and he was not a part of her Administration, was not an elected or appointed official.

In fact, I was expecting more out her since she had an 80% approval rating. This rating was huge for me. The people of Alaska knew her, ¨vetted¨ her in a sense. She knew nothing. I believed her when she boasted about field dressing moose. She can´t even load her own hunting rifle. I believed her when she claimed to be one of our country´s leading energy experts. She doesn´t even know the basics. Almost everything about her campaign narrative was a lie, from her education to her records as governor and mayor.

Ya know what-- I'm not sure that she actually wanted those rumors completely silenced. There is something else here that bothers me and I'm not quite sure what it is yet.....
Others have suggested reconstructing a timeline with Palin "responses" and "normal responses."
I suggest a sort of side by side timeline, just as we had side by side photos of Palin and a real pregnancy. We can take Anon @ 4:20's excellent point as one such example.
If nothing else is clear-- the given dates for the respective births of both Trig and Tripp are open to question. Nothing makes sense based on "Palin dates."

ReplyDeleteThere's only one person who benefited from the rumor Bristol was pregnant -- Sarah! She needed a cover if her hoax was revealed, preferable a cover that would also paint her as a sympathetic figure.
If Bristol wasn't really pregnant, Sarah likely either started the rumor herself or intended to keep it alive. She could have easily stopped it but didn't and, in fact, her feeble cries to 'stop it' ensured it wouldn't die. It fits Sarah's MO of making things up to use her kids as a shield (lemonade stand; Letterman feud).
I work with teenagers and believe me if someone is pregnant they all know (usually four days before a period is due). And if she had been trying for a while there's a chance that she might have thought she was pregnant the month before she actually was, hence the rumors starting early.

I've been around them most of my adult life and have never heard one word about a patient name our of the room unless it was in the context of patient care between pertinent professionals. I worked at a world renowned medical facility in the midwest that catered to the rich and famous. We saw them constantly and I never heard a peep about them being in our facility let alone treatments unless it was with the patients permission. Also a little shady is the way this doc dropped off the map after the Trig affair. Makes me wonder what really happened that she chose to retire from medicine. Anyone have any ideas where she is these days? Mexico or some other country we can't find her in? Or has she bunkered down in AK? Never heard what happened to her save she quit practicing after Trig was born

While I find the farce surrouding the opposing forces of Palin's cult of personality and those who simply cannot stomach her and will dig through anything to justify that to be tedious and misguided, we should not let that distract us from the potential real issues at play here.

We shouldn't forget that. It doesn't matter what the contents of Palin's Office Yahoo Account tell us about who popped out out a baby when. Sordid trailer-park drama? probably, but who cares? However, it is generally the case that, behind every folksy politician who is bored by the details, lurks a small army of value-rational and detail-oriented hatchetmen quietly cleaning up the spoils. Sometimes, if the local cult of personality is strong enough, they are in thrall of that politician. In other cases, the politician is their frontman. In either case, though, their activities are the stuff that desperately needs as much sunlight(and cell space) as the public can devote to it. Don't let the personality drama get in the way.

Dear 12:05, The reason that Britta enjoyed so many nice jobs and traveling with the Palin family was in payment for silence....silence for anything she might know about Track that could prove embarrassing. We have no idea what he told her. We have no idea how much she knows about his brush with vandalism and assorted substances.
ReplyDeleteI have always thought that Bristol living in her 5 bedroom house, enjoying literally millions of dollars of publicity is also being rewarded (and paid off) to keep her mouth shut, too. Bristol may have given Sarah something of such great value that it requires a book deal, a reality show, some magazine features, and an well-paid endorsement. This might be fine if Bristol had any talent. She does not.
I look at Britta being appointed to jobs that she isn't qualified for in the same way. Wait until Willow wants a condo and her own SUV!

There are people here who are wonderful and amazing and then there are people who are just horrible. Those from the horrible group seem to rise to power in many ways keeping everthing mucked up.

The committee for Grad Blast is seeking donations for this year. If you and Todd could help out it would be greatly appreciated. (Even tho we don't have graduates this year - they are looking for any help they can get..) I REALLY appreciated Todd's help with clean up last year in the wee hours!! I had peace of mind knowing both Britta and Track were in a safe place and they seemed to have a good time. How relative that concept of "safe" seems now ! We know that Grandma Lou Lou Sarah Palin was pregnant before marriage to Todd.
So to answer your question, what do you expect from Grandma Lou Lou's first born underage high school daughter who does not have parental guidance at home? Being pregnant was bound to happen, it is a family tradition.
The tradition continues, Track just found out his girlfriend, the pastor's daughter, is with child and he too had to marry her before the baby bump becomes noticeable.
As far as the rest of the Palin kids goes, for Sarah and Todd it is now a wait and see.

ReplyDeleteHere's Palin telling Meg Stapleton how you just never get these precious baby days back and you should definitely stay home with your baby, etc etc. Of course if we believe Palin, (and we don't) at the time of this message (9/2007) she knew of her pregnancy with Trig...a child she wouldn't take a single day off to bond with.
JUST as interesting in this one- Palin mentions Track's "two year active duty" term starting.

Answer: The answer is a resounding yes Bristol! When you were in the delivery room with your hind legs in the stirrups, I would of advised you to remove your legs from the stirrups after delivery and put your knees together. Instead you left your legs in them wide open and badda bing badda boom you were pregnant again before getting off the delivery table.
The boy who first got Bristol pregnant has his head in his hands trying to figure out how she got pregnant in the first place being that he never reached 3rd base?
Well, the secret is the boy was not the first batter at the plate, he was probably 4th in the batting order, the clean up batter and he was intentionally walked to first base. To the boy’s surprise the game was called on account of the catcher, Bristol, was 2 months pregnant. So the boy grabbed his balls and bat and went home!
11:20 AM That's a pretty dangerous practice I can tell you! Those of us who have to write a lot of recs often will start with one for a similar student (I have a folder of at least 50 from the past few years!) and edit to suit. But you have to remember to change the him/her he/she as well as the names and read carefully- twice- before sending it off. It saves a little time, but really, it saves a whole lot of needing to be inspired to start from scratch. Yep, lazy.

ReplyDeleteMan, I remember the whole mess about mccain and beg-lin lying to the press and to their constitents. It seemed like the denial and confirmation of bustol'pregnancycy happened within a day. Maybe mccain told her a second big lie (weird, she lies all the time) couldn't be pulled off or he had her to chose between which lie she would go with.
I agree with other posters: why did beg-lin go out of her way to acknowledge the so-called bustol's pregnancy rumor? Did she think she could hide bustol's pregnancy like she did her own sham pregnancy.

I looked up this picture and 4:30 PM is right! I used a magnifying glass to read the caption right below the picture. In dark blue letters on a black background the caption does read "Trig in his granddads lap."
This all reminds me of the Star Trek Next Generation episode "Clues". Sarah's deception is in the process of failing because she left too many clues that piqued human curiosity to solve her mystery. Plus she's a royal bitch and she deserves our unwanted attention. But, unlike Captain Picard, Sarah doesn't get a do-over to get rid of the remaining clues or eye witnesses. That's got to aggravate her since she dearly loves to rewrite history.
