A sneak peek at Nick Broomfield's documentary, "Sarah Palin--You Betcha!"
I heard about this scene.
The guy following behind Nick, as he is escorted out, is Marc Hoeferlin one of his assistants.
Nick also filmed the incident in Anchorage, where I was escorted out of the book signing after Todd recognized me and Sarah said: "Oh you are the one who is trying to destroy my children!"
I have no idea if it made it into the final cut, but both it, and my interview afterward, were filmed by Nick and his crew.
I think it looks pretty good, what do all you think, is it worth the price of a ticket?

Seeing Palin in action at that gathering was full-on creepy. The way she drank her water when Broomfield asked his question The way she gave her pat answer to Obamacare. The kinds of people in the crowd. It's just hard to believe it all exists. And yet, we haven't seen much of it have we. It's all been censored from view unless you buy the ticket. . .

ReplyDeleteIs the movie going to be playing in just a few selected theaters such as Grapevine, TX and Indianapolis, IN for two weeks and then straight to DVD and can I show it on my bedsheet hung in my living room in my double wide at the trailer park and then have my 50 best friends over? By the way -- co-founder of Home Depot, Frank Langone is friends with Madoff, and hates President Obama. When I read about this, I checked out Lowe's and decided to take my business to Lowe's. I did not see anything wrong with the question - since sarah was making millions as an "author," a speaker and a FAUX commentator, WHY would it be unreasonable to ask if her political career was over?
I have seen other examples of her goons throwing people out just for asking questions (not to mention throwing out people at book signings if they are not in her fan club).

Many of the movies premiered at TIFF (Toronto International Film Festival) sign some great distribution deals. There is a greater chance for this film to get a wider distribution by Nick taking it this route through the festival, which will have it's 36th anniversary this year.
TIFF draws a long list of A-List Celebs & Producers with their movies together with the film industry execs. DeNiro, Springsteen - yes The 'Boss', Eastwood, Redford, Woody Allen, to name a few who attended in 2010. Springsteen even did an in depth interview together with Ed Norton!! Rare!! Ran into not that he was 'huge' unless you were 12, but I ran into one of the Jonas Brothers out jogging 3 days last year.
The festival is big but more relaxed than Cannes and others. Red carpets and this year 10 Galas, but you can run into celebs shopping in stores and restaurants. You could just stand at The Roots (makers of olympic athlete/public clothing) store and be guaranteed to see them shop there.
A number of the Best Movie Oscar winners have premiered at TIFF and were voted at the festival as the best movie. It's like the attending public knows their movies picking what ends up the Oscar winner way in advance of Oscars.

you will see the picture of the permanent 'home' of TIFF so that along with the many venues and theaters involved throughout the festival, it is impossible to see all the movies scheduled within the festival. From early morning to Midnight Madness daily - it's impossible!!

I'll buy tickets for this documentary. It's LONG overdue. Palin's only a small peg in this structure, but it's a start.

Home Depot is a mile from my house and Lowes is 25 miles. We shop at Lowes or a local Ace Hardware.

It's so obvious to a lot of us that she is using shady front groups to fleece her followers. Maybe once it's clear she isn't announcing or making a serious run for the presidency, a closer look will be taken at all these activities.

This, is the picture of what a President Palin would be. No dissent, lots of security, just lovers of Sarah all the time, following her. In fact, she'd probably hire a fan club, pay them, just to follow her when cameras present, shouting, "We Love You, Sarah"!!!!! She belongs in an institution.
That's good news, Gryphen, that you are being vindicated in this film. At the time, it probably felt like a hopeless cause. But, the cause wasn't lost at all; it's on video and it shows what we already know about her. Don't despair. I believe the truth is sure to come out.

What will also be extremely entertaining, are the Reviews of Nick's project vs. the Reviews of the "Unattended".
I imagine Nick's #'s will far outshine the #'s of the "unattended" simply b/c people will be much more curious about uncovering the sordid details of Palin vs. a white-washed ass-kissing infomercial.
But the legitimacy of the reviewers and their (i imagine, positive) reviews of the piece will provoke more people to view the piece, and it will "hang aroud" longer simply b/c of its perceived validity.
What an eye opener Mr.Broomfield's film clip was and I really can't wait to see his film.
ReplyDelete$aint $arah again demonstrated that she can't think on her feet, won't show respect to others in an adult manner, and is generally afraid of the public. She still sees herself as a public servant, but conveys that she doesn't intend to serve the public but expects the public to serve her. She acted as a coward with her perceived loss of control and it alarms me that she should even expect total control in a (fake) Q&A. Her behavior doesn't show confidence nor maturity but reflects her intolerance and rigidness. Such a simple question was asked and it easily could have been handled in a mature and respectful manner. I know I'm preaching to the choir here, but I cannot fathom how a person can function in day to day life when they think they are constantly under threats, need total control and require unrelenting attention. It just blows my mind that this simpleton and mentally unstable narcissist was a government servant and is still being given numerous opportunities to strut her stuff as if she knows how to where big girl panties.
OT but to the people touting Lowes, don't believe everything you read. A couple of years ago when Lowes came to our area, my husband's union protested them the entire time they were building because they refused to hire skilled union workers and were hiring illegal immigrants for less money instead. So I'm not sure they are any better then Home Depot.

I recall seeing an alert awhile ago on Credo, but can't find a link. It seems Office Max's owner gives huge amounts of money to the GOP, if I find the alert, I'll be sure to update everyone.
