Wasilla City Councilman Steve Menard has repaid the city the $350 it paid to the Westmark Sitka hotel for repairs to a room after a three-night stay by Menard, reports the Mat-Su Valley Frontiersman. The council is planning a closed session Monday to discuss Menard's behavior.
Menard was one of several city council members and staff attending the summer Alaska Municipal League meetings in Sitka last week. ... According to a bill sent to the city from the Westmark, damage to Menard's room included two mattresses and a chair urinated on, vomit on the carpet, removal of a screen from a window, a burned mattress, all bedding was ruined and there had been smoking in the room, which was prohibited. The room was out of service for three days while staff cleaned and made repairs.
Menard, 41, whose late father was a Mat-Su Borough mayor and mother is an Alaska state senator, has been convicted at least twice in recent years for misdemeanor offenses involving drunkenness.
Yeah I know what you are thinking, aren't there rumors that Track is the offspring of Steve Menard's brother, Curtis Menard?
Yes there are. In fact most of the bloggers and authors who write about Palin have decided that the rumor is most likely not a rumor at all, but rather a cold hard fact.
The clincher for me was reading that Palin had threatened to drop out of the Governor's race due to allegations that Track was not Todd's child.

I learned long ago that the more aggressively Palin denies a rumor, the more likely it is that the rumor is in fact true. (Just think back to how many times she brings up the "rumor" that Trig is not her son as an example.)
So I think the take away from this is that some of the more egregious behaviors attributed to Track might NOT have been the result of poor parenting on the Palin's part, but instead due to simple biology. So we might have to give a pass to Sarah for that.
I'm just saying.
However the other kids difficulties? Totally the Grizzled mama's fault!
I don't think water causes that sort of behavior but then I've never had a glass of Wasilla water. Must be potent stuff.

ReplyDeleteHow low-class and how unbelievable that she was worried more about her family than how the rumor would affect her chances to win an election.
That's what comes across to me - she is copping an attitude about how important family is to her --- that might have been true at some earlier moment in time, but it's been clear since 2008 that she doesn't deem her kids (or husband) important enough to put the time in necessary to ensure the kids grow up feeling loved and that her husband doesn't feel abandoned (though, to be fair, he might not have put in much time for her sexual needs either).
What a low-class, self-centered woman. Plus, it sounds as if she might have been scared that someone might discover something that would validate that "rumor."
Sad to say, Sarah has damaged her own credibility so much in the past couple of years that few people will feel protective of her. She's throw so many people under the bus, that no one seems to care much that her bus is careening down the mountain without effective steering. If she ever tries to make a comeback, she has a lot of damage control to just get a smidge of respect and trust.
This is the very first time that I've heard anyone in the Tea Party say one sensible thing.

I don't know. Most of the other fervently denied rumors are false. After speaking to several people who've been in the picture since forever, I have sincere doubts Sarah and Curtis dated. The families are close. Starting with the parents. Heck, Sarahs sister's son's middle name is Curtis.

ReplyDeleteI think back to all the rumors and all the ones she's blown up at, are false rumors. All the times she's threatened lawsuit she's done so sincerely. But since she's cheap and impatient, I'm not shocked the suit was dropped. Plus, its nearly impossible to sue a blogger, esp when bloggers typically watching their wording.
$350 sounds like a paltry sum for Menard to have repaid to the City for damages to the hotel room. I find it hard to believe that this little amount of money covered the actual expenses involved.

When someone’s dishonest behavior is pointed out, it can be very difficult to for that person to accept it. There is a contradiction between how a person views themselves (I'm honest) and their deceptive behavior (I got caught lying).
This creates dissonance or stress (see, cognitive dissonance - Wikipedia). Many people react to the discord between their image and their behavior by attacking the person who pointed out the inconsistency.
It is very difficult for most people to accept the idea that they sometimes engage in deceptive and unethical behavior.
Unfortunately, it is easier to attack the person who is exposing the truth.
It often takes a great detail of insight and character to acknowledge one’s flaws, including one's deceptive behavior.
I think Track actually looks more like Curtis than this son does.

I think Jeanne probably put the kibosh on any true analysis of babygate and any mention (other than Sarah's) of Track not having Palin blood. Frank "told" secrets in a carefully benign way- this email of Sarah's, the side by side photos of Sarah holding "Trig" with a deformed ear and Bristol holding "Trig" with a perfect ear...
You are absolutely correct in stating that the more Sarah denies, the truer something is likely to be.
And just as Sarah always refers to rumors that "Trig is not my kid" but never says "...rumors I didn't GIVE BIRTH TO Trig"...as outraged as she is in this email, there is NO flat out denial of the rumors...only outrage over their existence.
At this stage I would say it's as sure a bet as possible; Track is the offspring of Curt Menard and Sarah Palin. We've known all along that Todd couldn't be the biological father as he was out of town during the window of conception. But looking at the photos and hearing Palin's vicious denials,,,it is crystal clear that Sarah lied about the maternity of one child and the paternity of another.
Has anyone ever looked to see how many emails in that book were not included in the emails released by Alaska?

Linda Menard has that kind of forced cheerfulness that Sarah has which is hell on their children. Willow getting a ticket for speeding, Bristol going into a bar in NY underage, Bristols mysterous pregnancies and unwed mother, Bristol living with Levi, an oil rigger from Wasilla which she moved in with her in Arizona and now living with two guys in LA. Where is Willow, living with Bristol and the guys too. Why did Sarah take Willow out of school, why did Bristol go out of town for mono for several months and why did Track go out of town for school too.

What is the truth about Track Palin's connection to vandalism of the school buses in 2005? Does anyone know for sure? Not rumor or speculation, please. It has clear thoughts that logically follow each other. There are complete sentences. So, either, someone helped her with the letter OR... When the apparently shameless offender acts as a deadbeat might, then the bad publicity and trouble just gets worse.

If "little people" had done something like this then a charge determined like this: $169.00 per night multiplied by the occupancy rate multiplied by three days room was out of service would be just one item on the bill.

"Menard was interviewed telephonically on 5-12-05 at 1427 hours by Sgt. Wall (not recorded).
Menard advised that Molly Mann has been a lifelong friend. Menard related that Mike is currently seeing another woman, and is staying with a close friend of his named Paul Cossette. In approximately March of 2005, Menard stated he was at Cossette's house talking to Mike. Mike stated that Angie and him were out partying, and that Angie was puled over by a trooper. He related that Mike told him that he exited, told the trooper to turn off the recorder right now and to let them go. Menard was not sure who the trooper was, or what the date of the stop may have been. Menard also advised that McCann told him about an incident at the "Mugger" with Mike, Angie and Paul being stopped.
INFORMATION:
Based on the statement the Menard made about a trooper having stopped Angie Johnson, I asked Major Leveque to check APSIN security to see if it could be established if the event ever happened. Major Leveque reported that APSIN doesn't 'log' information about what vehicles have been run, because vehicle records belong to ALVIN (the DMV computer system). He did check ASPIN records for Angie Johnson, and didn't find any recent occasion where she was 'run' in ASPIN.

note that the 2008 article you link to, that one of the guilty said track was not involved, and that the mother of another guilty party said track was not involved. what that article DOES NOT SAY is that the mother, at the time of her public statement, was a volunteer in alaska for the mccain/palin presidential campaign.

why had capi coon (and the guilty kid) never come to tracks defense before the 2008 campaign? one would think that since the rumors had been around for years, that both of these people would have spoken up long before then. furthermore, why did the palin family never address the rumors? we all know how the quitter likes to publicly demonstrate that her family is being unfairly attacked - so why the crickets from the palins at the time?

Track should also know his true paternity for the same reasons.
If there is a family history of a medical condition
on the Menard side,
it affects not just him ,but, Kyla.
If there's a possibility that Menard

Levi should also request a DNA test.
The test is easy and relatively inexpensive.
And if Sarah refuses to allow Todd to give a buccal swab-everyone will have their answer.
I tried to stay at the WestMark Sitka twice... the rooms are so filthy how would they know if it was this guy or the few before...? Not saying he didn't do it.. I just know for 250$ a night I EXPECT a clean room and after 3 different rooms the first time and 2 the 2nd my fishing boat was cleaner!! Dirty sheets, towels and bathrooms are NOT acceptable.....
ReplyDeleteIf Track isn't Todd's son, I believe the person at fault is Sarah, not Todd or her children. Threatening to quit the governor's race over an alleged insult to Todd or Track which actually only reflects poorly on Sarah (and perhaps the biological father) should have been a seriously red flag to her allies.

She could have taken her nasty language and kids out of our faces years ago if it was upsetting her that much. But, interestingly, she has shoved them out into the public eye even more. Certainly more than any other politician.
