Did you see Michele Bachmann's rebuttal of President Obama's speech? Well you are not alone.

I don't know why everyone keeps saying that she is finished as a candidate.

I mean she can still draw a crowd.

A dozen people IS considered a crowd, right?

Gryphen, you're wrong. You have to count the two photographers in addition to the reporters. That makes 14.

The Republicans had not planned to make an official response to Obama's speech, so this is Michele's unofficial response. So much for attention. She is in the same boat as Sarah. She will have to say something really crazy to get people to notice her.

O/T but did you see Michelle's outfit for that debate? I don't care, honestly, but it was interesting that she made sure to wear what looked like a lowcut blouse under that tailored suit jacket. These GOP women truly think they can't get anywhere without using sex, do they? Sad.

I had just been complimenting her for knowing what was appropriate, too!

This Tea Party crowd is severely miscalculating if they think being obstructionist for obstructionism's sake is going to go over well with the American people. We need to throw all their asses out.

HE will be showing up very soon now.

    HE is a master campaigner.

HE is the best thing that ever happened to this country.

    I. CANNOT. WAIT.

Remember how you felt? I do. I just did watching and listening to this.

    Hi Michele, Welcome back!

Quick question, Does Marcus still accept Federal funding for "Pray Away The Gay" counseling?

Shrink Big Government, Tea Party principles?...meh

    @JayKen Knotstirred

I like your questions. Why don't they ever answer?

Maybe you could ask Michele about Personal Rapid Transit (PRT) also known as pods. Just mention the company- Taxi 2000, or the PRT lobbyist- Edwin Cain, or the PRT bill she introduced in the Minnesota Senate- SF1574.

Or just tell her to look it up here-
    http://www.dailykos.com/story/2008/08/02/560950/-When-Michele-Bachmann-Says-All-of-the-Above-Does-That-Include-Pods

You might not get a response if you asked her. I was wondering if pod transport would come up at the debate, but it did not.

Doesn't look good, time to pull a "Carrie Prejean" and join the witness protection program.

I imagine that's the crowd size at Sarah's next event.

    Pathetic, eh?

Michelle Bachmann is a brainless clod. The ONLY reason that anybody is still talking about her is because of her showing in the utterly meaningless Iowa Straw Poll. She only won that because Ed Rollins was smart enough to figure out that she only had to buy enough votes to win. What the press ISN'T talking about with Bachmann is that she only got 75% of the votes she paid for.

Even when you pay people, some will STILL not vote for Bachmann.

    She is a delusional buffoon.

  12. Anonymous9:44 PM

    Ha.

    The joke is on you!!!

THIS WAS NOT A CAMPAIGN EVENT!!!!!

During questions, Bachmann told reporters that her response to the president was not “campaign related.”

THAT IS NOT TOO HARD TO UNDERSTAND IS IT?

    Then she said

“This is the president who called 535 members of Congress to hear what I believe was nothing more than political speech,” she remarked. “It’s an unfortunate plan the president has put forward because it is a plan in all likelihood, that will fail.”

BACHMANN CRITICIZED THE PRESIDENTS SPEECH FOR BEING NOTHING MORE THAN POLITICAL SPEECH

But hers was not. Hers was not a campaign event. Or something.

IF IT HAD BEEN A CAMPAIGN EVENT THE CROWD WOULD HAVE BEEN HUGE.

And did you know she also said:

" I’ve been a part of the real world for all throughout my life."

There is also a link to Comedy Central video of her whatever the hell it was at

What is up with Madeye McGinnis? It's like he is making fun of that crappy stunt he pulled on the Blind Allegiance writers.
"If Hedley leaks the hot stuff in advance, the big TV shows will cancel their interviews with me, and everybody will read the hot stuff online and–because all anybody cares about is the hot stuff, not actually reading a book written by an author–I’ll be screwed."

I wasn't a fan of his to begin with and worried about Gryph being taken in by him (and it may turn out he was). But these recent blog posts take McG's creepiness to a whole new level.

I feel sorry for her and I don't know why. I don't think she knows her husband is center-square gay. She's not evil, just dead wrong about the way of the world. Palin? She's from Mordor.

Walter Neff, I kind of agree. I think Bachmann is sincere, just sincerely stupid and deluded. I read about some of her lies somewhere (Politifact?) and even those seemed less matters of dishonesty than of naivete, ignorance, and/or stupidity.

This absolutely does not mean I want her as president. I think those qualities make her scary as hell in a position of power, although she may well be a very nice woman to those who know her through church or whatever. I do think she means well, though, in her own twisted way (and with her own misguided definition of "well"), which is more than I believe of Screech.

  19. Joe McGinniss sure has a guilty conscience.

He keeps running each day's comic of Doonesbury hoping to assuage his guilt for spreading Frank Bailey's "Blind Allegiance to Sarah Palin" copyrighted manuscript prior to publication.

Making mock, Joe, doesn't absolve you - you're just digging yourself a deeper hole.

The only reason there is a dozen people there is they wanted to sit down. They were tired of standing in the hallway waiting for someone to 'glitter' Marcus.

Stupid Bachmann, if she wants a crowd to listen to her she should do what Palin does.

Bachmann needs to be a wedding crasher and just show up where the crowd is already assembled.

    It works for Sarah!

why does there even need to be a rebuttal...live in the real world all her life my ass. She is a liar and never answers questions, just sidetracks and screams Obamacare. I wonder if Sharon Angle is her mother, they r both crazy as ever. If those around her are ecouraging her, they will be responsible for her meltdown, cause she is obviously convinced that she should be President. Unfricking Believable

10:01 pm What is up with madeye Mcg?

Isn't he making up fictional Fox Snooze reporters such as Hedley?

He also is making sure everyone knows who his best buddy is, the big fat man at Fox.

He has really started on a road of childish remarks, I think the book will bomb most likely; he is totally boring.

    ReplyDelete
  28. Anonymous4:22 AM

Rule of thumb for Fox News is to add a zero to an actual approximation. If there were twelve, there were really 120 reporters.

    ReplyDelete
  29. Well, since none of us is Joe McG, we don't really know what is in his mind, but I'm reading it differently than some of the posters above -- I think he is making fun of the Blind Allegiance folks rather than trying to do some preemptive cya re the Rogue.

    Time will tell, I suppose.

  30. Yes, Bachmann is crazy.

Yes, she shouldn't be in ANY position of power.

    But.

Does anyone else think she got pushed to the side by Perry simply because she's got lady parts and he's "A Real Man's man"?

I just found it stunning how she's been campaigning for months now, and Perry blew her out of the water...even though his history and background is possibly MORE frightening.

And hat's the reason for Michelle's political demise. She's no feminist - today's Republicans can't be feminist - so the minute a new guy with the same rhetoric hits the floor, she's over. Republican women - place holders and nothing more.

She has to do something in order to bolster her rapidly decreasing chances that she will ever be the GOP nominee, much less president. Perry, who is even more dangerous than she, has eclipsed her, and like Palin, she has to do SOMETHING to remain relevant.

This isn't about that ninny being ignored while delivering the ptretend conservative 'response' because essentially she has nothing to say anyway. (Oh, HERE'S a surprise: she didnt like President Obama's speech!)

This is part of a concerted effort to discredit and marginalize our president by dismissing and disrespecting him in subtle and in not-so-subtle ways.

The message is clear: "Hey, America, if you really had wanted a president who would be treated with respect by conservatives just for holding the office you should have gone ahead and voted for the old white man (and his worthless sidekick, Halfwit) when you had the chance."

    Just sayin'....

Corn dog jockey Michelle Bachmann doesn't attend the speech, but she's more than happy to comment on that which she hasn't heard.

Stick to the corn dogs Michelle.

The only reason to feel sorry for Michele Bachmann is that she needs cult deprogramming.

Otherwise she's a scheming vindictive power hungry talibangelical. She and Marcus want to know what you are doing in your personal and sex life. They also want to tell you what to do and not do concerning both. Gawd has been putting voices in their heads about this and other things like nuclear war and earthquakes.

So other than that she's still a member of Congress, she is just about as irrelevant as Sarah Palin was thought to be before her selection for V.P. was announced. Bachmann is more intelligent, actually has a couple of degrees, and does a much better job networking with other like minded individuals than Sarah ever did. She takes direction and follows orders much better than Sarah- at least when the come from Marcus.

This woman is as stupid as SP. Give a speech about something you didn't even see or know anything about it. Why in the hell does anyone even cover her? She is an idiot and I can't stand her.

I would LOVE to know how anyone ever voted for this woman. What in god's name could they see in her?

It is embarrassing that we have to have them representing the U.S. Not only that but these idiots are an insult to anyone with half a brain.
