Want to see something really funny?

I don't know about you guys but I need a break from all things Sarah Palin for the rest of the evening. So when I saw this YouTube video of what could happen if a bad lip reader was asked to dub Rick Perry's Texas drawl I thought it was the perfect way to top off a long day.

I dare you not to laugh!

    'MeAgain' wants us to know:

Sarah wants to record her own "statement" to "address some things"...and the Fox big wigs shut her ass down, said she better not use the studio except for Fox endorsed and sanctioned pieces-- "as agreed". I think Mr. Ailes might just be a wee bit sick of the "rogue" he invested in.

Sarah on Fox tonight. As usual something weird as hell with her hair. And OMG, she's wearing a SCARF again, is she PREGNANT again? LOL! She obviously has been listening to the talk about her disheveled appearance last night, since she's all gussied up lookin' all presidential. The bots will be swooning. I think she's swung over to the manic stage tonight, it's always apparent in her facial expressions:

"On the heels of his dismal weekend in Florida, Rick Perry is getting some love from two Texas fans in the form of this campaign theme song.

The song — from two girls calling themselves "candy rapper" and "Double K" — may be the worst campaign rap in the history of the medium.

Here's there music video, which features the two young white girls jumping around outside the Texas State House. It appears to be sincere, but we are not entirely sure.

    Video below."

It is really bad. So bad it just about has to be a joke. Except we all know how Republicans really roll when it comes to their muzak.

Sadly, the BLR version of Perry makes about as much sense as the original.

    I loved the line:
"I had this girl who was too ugly to ride, and we were bitter. This princess in a mustache, one size fits all, everybody hook up, BABE!"

The "princess in a mustache" tag is a keeper.

As a recovering Texan, I suffered greatly during Perry's ascendency and have been cheering mightily as this pusillanimous shithead begins his inexorable slide. Perry is a dumbfuck grande and it really pisses me off to hear people try and portray him as anything else. I've seen buckets of shit that had more intellectual heft than Perry. Perry is scarcely any brighter than Palin or Bachmann.

However, it looks like the GOP is just about over their fling with P.Rick. Say what you will about him, P.Rick was the only other GOP candidate that could give Bachmann a run for her money when it came to swallow whole corn dogs - stick and all - with nary a tickle in the throat.

Just remember to "SAVE A PRETZEL FOR THE GAS JETS!"

Rick Perry Heckled: GOP Presidential Candidate Faces Hecklers, Protesters During Campaign Stops

Rick Perry had a tough day on the campaign trail. The GOP presidential candidate faced hecklers as well as protesters on Thursday.

Hecklers confronted Perry during a press conference in Knoxville, Tennessee. The Knoxville News Sentinel reports that "two unidentified men with video cameras made disruptive statements about the constitution and told Texas Gov. Rick Perry to stay out of Tennessee." Perry pushed back on the suggestion that he stay out of the state, saying, "Tennessee is very important." He continued, "If you look back, Tennessee has been one of them (the states) that has made the difference -- it's a swing state."

Perry's stop in Knoxville included a fundraiser attended by Tennessee politicians. The News Sentinel reports that one attendee was Lt. Gov. Ron Ramsey, "who endorsed Perry as his presidential candidate of choice last summer."

Later in the day, the Texas governor faced protesters during a stop in Charlotte, North Carolina. While entering a fundraiser at a local restaurant, protesters carrying signs gathered nearby to protest Perry's stance on immigration. The Charlotte Observer reports:

Messages on the signs read "Say No to Rick Perry's In-State Tuition for Illegal Aliens!" and "Rick Perry -- Endorsed by Mexico."

William Gheen, president of the Raleigh-based Americans for Legal Immigration PAC (ALIPAC), said, "It's time for him to exit the race. Do the Republican Party and the country a favor, and exit the race."

Vernon Robinson, a Concord Republican who is running for Congress in the 8th District, also showed up to protest Perry's stand on immigration.

"Rick Perry's amnesty, if enacted into law, would be the first time Texas has surrendered to Mexico in 175 years," Robinson said.

Three comments about tonight's Palin Fox appearance.

    1) Palin goes after Juan Williams right out of the gate.

    2) She LIES bout her Herb Cain "flavor of the week" comment from the previous night on Greta's show.

    3) She considers herself part of the middle class.

This is from a question and answer session. Rick Perry has a trainwreck discussing teen pregnancy and abstinence education. There is a lot of both in Texas.

"Rick Perry Struggles to answer Question on Abstinence

Q: Governor why does Texas continue with abstinence education programs when they don't seem to be working? In fact I think we have the third highest teen pregnancy rate in the country?

    Perry: Abstinence works."

3:00 minutes that make you wonder is Rick Perry as dumb as Sarah Palin?

Listen to Rick say "I'm just going to tell you from my own personal life abstinence works." 50 seconds in.

This would be funny except that the numbers are not. Texas has well over 10% of all U.S. teen pregnancies in all three age groups.

Number of Teen Births by Age 2008
    Girls Under 15
    Texas 843
    United States 5,764

    Girls 15-17,
    Texas 18,945
    United States 135,664

    Girls 18-19,
    Texas 35,339
    United States 299,094

While it is pleasurable to watch this blowhard Texan used car salesman get the treatment he deserves, it may not be the best outcome for Progressives!

It would have been better for him to make it all the way to the nomination before self detonating.

Even better would be Palin's move to go a third party route, dividing the rightwing lunatic fringe down the middle...leaving the moderates to make an Obama re-election a breeze.

I keep wondering just how in the world so many poor people are so motivated to be pushing for tax breaks for the rich.

Then, something called up a memory from my childhood, today: an old German woman telling me how ashamed of herself she still was, saying, "Hitler made such a convincing case to us, we were all fooled."

People like these are just BEGGING to be spoofed, it's the only way we can get out of bed in the morning is to take away the power and notoriety they inexplicably have.

As someone who works with deaf kids and adults, I always cringe when I see characters in TV shows and movies supposedly speechreading someone blocks away, in the dark, facing sideways and chewing gum. This video, while highly entertaining in itself, shows very clearly why speechreading is extremely inaccurate, even under the best of circumstances.

Having said that, I must ask...are we SURE that Perry didn't actually say those things?
