Is Donald Trump the living embodiment of today's Republican party?

Arrogant, disdainful, and utterly unconcerned with the rights of others.

Yet THIS is the guy whose blessing all of the GOP Presidential contenders are scrambling for?

Mitt Romney, Herman Cain, Rick Perry, Michele Bachmann, and of course that most prolific political prick teaser who started it all, Sarah Palin, have all made the pilgrimage to see "The Donald." And none of those who have refused to do so have ever risen above single digits.

What does that say about the state of the Republican party?

What that tells me about the Republican Party is that it is a bad reality show, and Obama doesn't have a thing to worry about.

The World Premiere of the film was in TORONTO in May 2011. Canadians did it once again with Nick's film on Palin.

Toronto, unfortunately, got scammed by Trump and their city politicians when Trump and his faker family fronted the building of a hotel/condominium in the City. It was one of the projects that Trump sold his name/mugshot to be used but had no $$$ investment in it. In fact, the real person behind it - it was his first building project. So much for starting small. He could have easily failed and screwed many more than he did -- as this type of project screws the taxpayers.

Fortunately the people who fell for it and invested to buy, didn't get left like those for example in Florida where they made massive deposits and got screwed as that property never got off the ground.

Have no knowledge of what 'tax benefits' and 'loopholes' the project benefited from but I'm sure they are many and massive and will leave Toronto taxpayers on the hook for them.

How the hell did Trump become the kingmaker in the GOP? It totally baffles me why so many of the GOP candidate clown car occupants feel the need to make the pilgrimage to kiss Trump's ass. The man is a well documented racist, and a loud mouthed, arrogant buffoon.

If the GOP wants to make Trump one of the faces of the party, that's fine with me. With Trump and Limbaugh you get a fairly accurate picture of what the GOP stands for today.

I am looking forward to the new documentary about him, however. Maybe it will deflate the arrogant prick a bit.

It's like watching a really bad movie. You keep thinking - this must be a joke, but then you realize with growing horror - that they actually are serious.

Reminds of "Local Hero" without the elegant ending.

Also, dig around for Trump Baja. A pretty piece of work.

O/T - Maxine Waters, Congresswoman from California introduced a bill this morning to dissolve the Super Committee. Support her if you can - that 6 Dem, 6 Rep member committee either strikes $$$$$$$$$$$$ off the budget with cuts, or if no agreement - across the board cuts to the tune of 1.2 TRILLION will simply take place.

Legislators have no ability to recall, cancel, challenge or HAVE ANY FACTS or knowledge of the activities of this ongoing super secret committee. That is NOT democracy and the constituents who elected the remainder of the congressional members have no representation, and certainly no say in the activities of their reps on the committee, nor any knowledge of what is being considered by said members.

Make no mistake, the only goal for the Rethugs is to make certain Obama not get re-elected, and this would be a disaster if the Super Secret Committee does us all in, for years to come.

    This committee must be disbanded!

    O/T

Just watched a segment of Morning Joe. Didn't realize that Steve Schmidt has actually been hired by MSNBC.

Joe & Schmidt both referred to the Rethug campaign as a 'Reality Show'!!

Woody Harrelson is playing Schmidt in the movie Game Change. IMO seems that book (released Jan 2010)and 'movie' have been talked about forever and still no movie release. It's already old and outdated and not set for release until sometime in 2012. And many complained Nick's movie was past it's 'use by date'. Anticipate release at election time - Halperin's attempt to screw the election as he is an 'A-hole'

I've said this before: pretending to run for President just to bilk money out of mostly the elderly is not only despicable, but should be an indictable offense.

Trump is not above stealing purses from old women at a retirement home, and should be jailed for it.

Instead, the Pharisees of government bow down to him. Our society has stooped to a new low.

  14. The Republican party once stood for conservative values such as maintaining what is good about society and using small government solutions to improve society where needed. Republicans once were proud to be Republicans but now there only objective is to get all they can. The party no longer has any values but promoting the interests of the rich and thus attracts the wealthy such as Trump and the wannabes such as the half term governor. The Republican party and its supporters stand for nothing.

CNN is becoming more and more like Faux. They are doing everything they can to replace Faux.

I say this in that I watched a segment where CNN is doing their own 'fact checking' and they found Cain's 9-9-9 to be TRUE with more explanation. In otherwords, they are saying 9-9-9 will work but not having knowledge of the total program.

You see that CNN held the 'Bagger' Debate. You can see how many more 'far right' pundits they have hired to spew more and more bullshit. CNN embedded themselves with the Baggers yet play little about OWS and when they do, they talk as if the people are rioting. Not unlike Faux.

  17. Nixon would have to triple-dog down on his most evil and duplicitous schemes to hang with this crowd.

I don't think the GOP wanted to win the 2008 because they knew they couldn't face or fix the looming catastrophe. Throwing old salt McCain made their base think they were 'trying'. Palin was backdoor insurance. If he couldn't lose the race on his own, she would certainly seal the deal.

The big money, old school GOP again appear to be content to sit this one out. Let the little TP hired help have their fun playing candidate while the big boys keep their focus on redistricting, deregulating and requisitioning congressional replacements. They are assured of four more years of accusing and abusing President Obama while they put the finishing touches on their quest for full and forever control.

While it's vital to support Obama in his reelection (poor guy) we must also pay very close attention to several strategic upcoming congressional races. Donate, educate, volunteer, get the vote out! Thank you OWS and Occupys everywhere for the jump start !!!!

  18. Thanks for posting this video and the links. I didn't realize that even Romney had an audience with Trump. This says to me that the Republican Party is bankrupt and that we're...all of us...in deep shit. Why was the media drooling after Trump during his 'fake' campaign instead of doing solid reporting? Why did it take a foreign film to take off the mask?

Pretty Pathetic if you ask me. Corporations are People, too, and the Donald "go ahead barbra, pull my hair" Trump is the perfect "Family Values" idol. I can't believe the GOP has stooped this low, but hey, look at the all star line-up of candidates.

I sure wouldn't vote for anyone who sought the approval and/or backing of that poop, Donald Trump.

It is disgusting that any candidate thinks it imperative to have their "papal conference" with Trump.

Do they kiss his ring and does he make the sign of the dollar over them as they kneel before him?

Herman Cain in 2010 wrote an article about why a Federal sales tax is wrong for the country. That must have been before he met his economic adviser from Koch brothers.

At least the Scots are giving him a hard time -

Unfortunately for Trump, there are quite a number of people in Scotland who won’t believe a word he utters—with one Menie Estate neighbor, 86-year-old Molly Forbes, saying recently, “We laugh at everything he says.”

Some skeptics have even questioned Trump’s motives. The rows have been endless, and last week’s flare-up over the clubhouse is absolutely typical of their tone. The clubhouse plans—for a Victorian Gothic-style mansion made of granite and slate—have been described by Trump’s team as “luxurious” and “second to none.” True to form, the Scots have quickly savaged the real-estate mogul from all sides.

One critic described the clubhouse as “a holiday home for Gaddafi,” while a neighbor on the Menie Estate, Susan Munro, said: “It looks like an institution. It is huge. You shouldn’t see a monstrosity like that in the middle of the dunes.”

I would like to see the Super Committee really have to go across the board on defense cuts. I am not suggesting the troops should be marginalized, but I am saying the bloated piece of crap called star wars and the immoral drones should be defunded. I have simply had it with our military industrial complex. This is such an insidious part of our economy now that every district has a defense plant of some type so people keep voting against their own self interest except for crappy jobs building war related materials. It is time to rise up and say no more. Time for all of us to work to improve the aging and derelict infrastructure in our country. We are all complicit if we don’t start using our imaginations and start being the lead dogs instead of the follow dogs.
