Lewis Black is hands down my favorite comedian, and I have listened or watched as many of his performances as I can find.
Here Lewis is using humor in order to explain something to which I think most Fundamentalist Christians, like Rick Santorum, Rick Perry, and Sarah Palin should be forced to listen.
I am not sure that Lewis speaks for ALL Jewish people, but I am fairly confident that he speaks for most of the really smart ones.

You keep impressing me with your taste in people....I actually went to several tapings of the Daily Show when I lived in NJ and Lewis was still on the show. You have to sit on the sidewalk for hours waiting to get in as its free and the line goes around the building. Lewis was constantly coming outside to sneak a smoke and finally he walked down the street past me and I had to chase him for an autograph. I hope you caught his interview with Piers....he is still the same.

Is Lewis Black pointing out some "Magical Thinking" going on? Guess you're not the only one to have the courage to discuss that! It was so enlightening to finally find out where Palin's belief that Man walked with the Dinosaurs came from - they thought "The Flintstones" was a DOCUMENTARY! And to think . . . Chuck Heath taught science to children!

ReplyDeleteBlack is probably one of the greatest comedians of our lifetime.. Some of his stand-up concerts like this one is so good you can watch the same program over and over and never catch all the nuances of what he's saying... truly a comedic genius...
ReplyDeleteHe hasn't done many gigs like this one for HBO in the last few years cause he's writing and doing smaller venues..BUT he still makes an occasional cameo on Jon Stewart's program...
