How Americans view Romney vs Obama.

Well it looks like Romney has the vote of the rich people all wrapped up.

But that is only the tiniest portion of the overall electorate.  If, and let me borrow a badly over used term here, "we the people" show up at the polls in large numbers, and don't allow ourselves to be manipulated by the money men behind the eventual Republican candidate (Mitt Romney),  then we can ensure that President Obama gets that second term which this country so desperately needs for him to have.

This really is becoming a case of "class warfare."  We have the class, and the GOP is all about the warfare.

More over at the Daily Beast.

I'm American and I view Romney as a slimebucket.

I view Obama as a visionary and a decent, hardworking, committed man.

As Jon Huntsman and his family last weekend discussed the future of his campaign, one surprising topic kept coming up, according to a top Republican source. "They were worried that he would be compared to Stephen Colbert," said this high-ranking source, who declined to be quoted by name because of his friendship with the family and the former candidate. "They were risking being a laughingstock and wanted to preserve some dignity at the end."

Won't it be wonderful if Romney gets that ONE PERCENT of the vote, of the filthy rich, and Obama gets the 99%, of the rest of us?

Problem is, there are a pathetic number of 99'ers who are totally convinced they are just a lottery win away from BEING one of those multi-millionaires...so vote as if they were, now.

O/T - Sarah is loose on twitter again...
@Newsweek: know what's truly "dumb"? Giving a cover story to the TrigTruther conspiracy kook writer who thinks I didn't give birth to my son

Free speech - if it's for Sarah, it's good; if it's not for Sarah, no free speech allowed...

Now, she is slamming Newsweek because the author of an article also wrote some unfavorable things about her. She really does need to learn what Free Speech really means.

    Class warfare? You betcha!
I got bored with Sarah's ridiculous rant at Fox New's Judge Jeanine after she got all jacked up and said "value voter" 19 times and "South Carolina" 22 times, then "North Carolina" and corrected herself (she meant New Hampshire). I don't know what a "value voter" is, and why all these South Carolina voters would have such value for Santorum.
    So I looked it up.
Turns out that it's just Sarah's more ignorant/less elite-smart-person way to say "valueS voters." Bummer, I thought I was ahead of the curve on this election cycle's swell catch-phrase that I could throw around to make me sound knowledgeable.

It describes the group of people who take their values into consideration when casting a vote. Christians, in other words, who want a candidate to embrace the same values and put that into action on the job.
[As opposed to what, exactly? Isn't that how we ALL vote?] Anyway.

But it turns out to be so much more than that. Surprise! They've found a way to get around laws regulating churches' non-profit 501c3 status that prohibits partisan political stuff.
    Here's what they're doing:

"We encourage you to download the high-resolution version of the video to be shown at your Church, home meetings or local TV stations. Through your efforts we can make a difference in this election and bring America back to its Christian heritage."

Show this Video at your Church!
    http://www.valuevotersusa.com/

"It's estimated that several million Christians will watch the video the Sunday before the election at Churches across America!"

How can I show this video in my Church?
Call your Pastor today and tell him that your Church needs to show this video on Sunday morning! We need to inspire others to VOTE VALUES on election day! Then proceed to download the high-resolution video.

Is it Legal to show the Video in Church?
Yes. This video does not violate 501-c3 laws because it does not endorse a political candidate. The purpose of the video is to demonstrate there are more concerning issues at stake during this election other than gas prices and the economy.

THAT'S why Sarah was so freaked out...

Off topic, but relevant and _extremely_ important.

Tucson schools ban Shakespeare and Native American authors

"As part of its compliance with a state ban on ethnic studies, the Tucson Unified School District has banned its Mexican American Studies program and a number of books including 'The Tempest' by William Shakespeare and 'Rethinking Columbus: The Next 500 Years', which includes pieces by various Native American authors including Suzan Shown Harjo, Buffy Sainte-Marie, Joseph Bruchac, Leslie Marmon Silko and Winona LaDuke."

The comments on Sarah's twitter about Sullivan are a hoot!

First he was a trick, then a trig

Why'd she take the tweet down so fast, afraid something might leak (wink wink)?

Wow, a tweet with correct grammar and puntuation, she must really hate Andrew Sullivan!

    She be ugly

    The mama looks grizzled

I gotta print these out - they're comedic gold!

I had to laugh while reading this post, it's case closed for the GOP and insurance for a second term for Obama - was there EVER any other choice?
