I think the Washington Post nailed this one.

Oh yeah, you can only imagine the pure unadulterated joy the White House felt at the news that Gingrich had won South Carolina, and that now three different primaries had been won by three different GOP candidates.

The news does not get much better than that for President Obama.

Newt is just the flavor of the week. He's just lucky enough that this time it's happening during actual primary elections. They'll be looking at Mitt like that ugly prom date your mom fixed you up with within a week. You don't want to go with him, but if you want to go to the party, he's your ride.

    OMG....Bitch Queen goes off again:

“I do care to take him to task — poor Chris. This was a rookie mistake. He played right into the media’s hands. Here’s a host that asked Chris, ‘Does Newt embarrass the party.’ I think he asked him twice, and there Chris played right into it and spewed that about Newt embarrassing the party. Sometimes if your candidate loses in just one step along this path, as was the case when Romney lost to Newt the other night and of course, Romney is Chris Christie’s guy, you kind of get your panties in a wad and you may say things that you regret later. And I think that that’s what Chris Christie did. His response to what the media was asking him was reflective of a lack of self-discipline. I’ve learned my lessons all along the way, too, and not responding, not playing into the media’s hands when they’re trying to get you to say something like is this candidate an embarrassment to your party?”

THIS is what some want as President? You ARE an embarrassment to your party, you undereducated, low-class LOSER!

I cannot wait for Christie to take her apart.

Fox News commentator Sarah Palin chided New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie Monday, following a weekend interview in which Christie referred to GOP presidential candidate Newt Gingrich as an "embarrassment to the party."

"Poor Chris. This was a rookie mistake. He played right into the media's hands," Palin said, "Here's a host that asked Chris, 'Does Newt embarrass the party.' I think he asked him twice, and there Chris played right into it and spewed that about Newt embarrassing the party."

"Sometimes if your candidate loses in just one step along this path, as was the case when Romney lost to Newt the other night and of course, Romney is Chris Christie's guy, you kind of get your panties in a wad and you may say things that you regret later," she continued.

Palin went on to call his statement an instance of a "lack of self-discipline" on Christie's part. She also suggested that Christie had his share of moments that could be considered embarrassing to the GOP, such as "taking a state helicopter to his kid's baseball game."

Careful, Palin is 'spewing' spew all over the place in her interview:

On if she will jump into the presidential race:

“No. We’ve got candidates in the GOP field that are going to be able to do the job for us. We need to be united. We can’t be spewing things about each one of these candidates just because maybe personally we have a bur under the saddle against one or two of the candidates and feed right into the Democrats’ hands and spew this rhetoric that is so completely negative and completely hurtful to what the cause is...”

Gryphen, can we all agree to stop perpetuating unfounded tunics about the GOP presidential candidates no matter how demnstronstrably awful those candidates may be? For example, I know for a fact that Rick "Google Me Now!!" Santorum never performed semi-professionally in a drag 80's dance-funk lip-sync band touring as "Lady Douchebag" or at least no longer performs in public. That was easy! Ok, now you dispell one.

C'mon, let's raise the level of discourse while these sad sack losers sort out the nominating process to find the best man to spread hate and lies against Barack HUSSAIN Obama.

The republican party has become an international laughingstock. I thought their party couldn't sink any lower than when Dubya was elected, but then the brainless, ego maniac from Wasilla went and proved me wrong. Bush lowered the bar and Palin buried it deep into the Earth's core.

Fast forward to now and we have a world where Michelle Corn Dog Bachmann is considered a serious contender for President (until she thankfully dropped out) Rick Santorum is surging froth like to the forefront and Newt (changes wives like underwear) Gingrich is imagining which bedroom he's gonna screw wife #4 in when he gets to the White House.

What a sad, joke of a party the republicons have become.

Most voters don't care about Newtie's love life, nor remember what an ass he was as Speaker. He is a pompous, racist, belligerent, bloviating sleezeball. But he is dangerous. Be afraid.

  13. It would save this country a ton of money of Barack Obama was simply declared President until 2016 and call it good. There is no way he will be beat. None of the current crop of GOP hopefuls are going to win.

angela and nancy in new york, you neatly summed up the Gory Old Party.
You reap what you sow, the Party of intolerance, greed and selfishnes is stuck with a male version of Spalin, only more cunning and relatively "smarter", the crazy uncle that keeps breaking out of the basement and apparently never heard of tailors, and the twilight zone version of Richie Rich.

    Love it!

O/T - I guess everyone has seen this "panties" talk from Palin - emasculating men once again.

What the hell is her problem? Accusing anyone of a lack of self-discipline is the pot calling the kettle black also - projection much, Sarah?

She is pissed because she knows the GOP establishment wants Romney, and they are going to do everything in their power to see to it that he's the nominee. Newt is spoiling their plans at the moment, but it won't last long. These boys don't mess, and they are going to bring him down. Romney was already warning him with his comment about an "October surprise" today. He was pretending to talk about the Dems, but what he really meant was that his own henchmen have the goods on Gingrich and they are going to use them against him.

President Obama and his team would love it if it were Gingrich, he's that much of a sitting duck. Wouldn't it be something if they have to broker a ticket at the GOP convention and it ends up being Romney/Gingrich???? Obviously Sarah thinks they can put the pressure on for some sort of deal. This is just so typical of this woman.

Hey, remember everyone said she was done?

NOT. And why am I not surprised?

Egomaniacs like Sarah Palin do not just fade discreetly away, to live their lives. This crap IS her life, it's all she cares about.

Just as Newt is likely to over-reach, I am waiting for Sarah to screw up any day now as well. She is inserting herself into this, so let's just see how she does. Self-sabotage is her middle name.

Be careful of what you wish for. If Newt happens to win the nomination, he just might trot out Sista Sarah as his VP. It would put the dagger into his chances of winning but we would have to listen to her vile, hateful, rhetoric for months on end. I would rather be water-boarded than have to put up with that.

  20. Chris Christie is not my favorite Governor. He is a bombastic bully and often unkind when speaking to his constituents who disagree with him. Now, that the shoe is on the other foot, I will be curious as to his response about Palin's statement. If he were smart, he would let it go. However, the man may be fat but he does have the thinnest skin. The "panties in a wad" and "rookie" have to rankle. Plus,it is being reported in all of the newspapers in the area. I hope he does respond, I would like a little side show.

  21. At Nootie's victory speech, some in the audience were heard, after Nootie praised Santorum, shouting something like, "VP, VP."

Gawd, Mawd, that would be too, too fabulous.

Has even Barney Frank lived long enough for a.....(shudder).....Gingrich/Santorum ticket?

It is simply amazing to me that Republicans are really about to bestow such an incredible stroke of good luck on President Obama by making Gingrich his opponent. I mean, wow. Do you think that subconsciously, they actually want Obama to win????

And the Palinbots...just when you think they can't debase themselves for their idol anymore...in the space of two weeks this ship of fools has gone from insisting that she will be the presidential nominee to now desperately hoping Newt will make her his VP.
