Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer said that her tarmac confrontation with President Obama on Wednesday showed him to be a little oversensitive.
"He brought up my book. And he was a little tense. I asked him if he read my book, 'Scorpions for Breakfast' and he said he read the excerpt and he didn't think that I was very cordial," Brewer told radio host Mike Broomhead on KFYI radio. "He was somewhat thin-skinned and a little tense to say the least. I was trying to be very calm."
"The book is factual, the book is true," Brewer repeated on Fox's Greta Van Susteren show. "I don't know why he was surprised by my book but he evidently is and he's very thin-skinned in regards to it."
"Thin skinned?" You know I personally believe that even the most critical of Obama's critics, would still have to admit that he he has demonstrated an ability to take an awful lot of abuse without letting it get to him. After all the man has been called a socialist, a Kenyan, an anti-American, a communist, uppity, and smeared with every racial epithet known to man, and still managed to rise above it all.
I think Brewer is projecting her own shortcomings on to the President.
After all who looks like their losing their cool in this picture?
As for her claim that "the book is factual" even journalists from her own state referred to it, when first released, as a "sniveling new memoir," and took it to task for the vast number of lies that it contained.
And let us not forget that this governor not only claimed that there were headless bodies all along the US-Mexico border, she also claimed her father was killed "while fighting the Nazis" when in fact he died of lung disease in 1955 while residing in California.
The woman is a complete nutjob and yet another example of the unhinged individuals that have gained office due to support from the Teabaggers. Of course in this case, as one Arizona journalist points out, she could simply have been too hammered to have an intelligent exchange with our President:
The incident if anything, perhaps provides a glimpse into the pitfalls of public figures who are suspected of drinking while they politic, it can cause unintended consequences, at least when the leader of the free world is winging into town, the pesky national press corps is just everywhere.
One can understand how the main stream media considers waving a finger in the face of the President unseemly, especially for a public official, like say a Governor. The problem is most of the main stream media, is unaware Governor Brewer’s nick name around the State capital is Otis, a reference to the town drunk from Mayberry.
You just can't make this stuff up folks.
Update: It looks like somebody photographed the exchange from another angle.
You know I THOUGHT she looked familiar!
Somebody please reupholster her face, quick!
ReplyDeleteWikipedia says Gov. Jan Brewer has NO COLLEGE DEGREE. Brewer trained to be an x-ray tech at junior college, so more schooling than Sarah, eh?
She is a scholar compared to Jessie Kelly who is running for Gabby Giffords seat in CD8. No wonder our educational system is such a mess!
DeleteJust like Sarah has her Special K/Meth/Marijuana, Jan has her alcohol. Another addict that should be nowhere near a political position.
ReplyDeleteBrewer is one of those bitchy drunks.
ReplyDeleteOne has to wonder what her staff goes through keeping her drunk behavior in check.
Clearly, a lady knows how to provide information about any success they choose to claim. Jan Brewer is just spewing and spitting. Somebody get her a face shield to prohibit anymore projectile from her mouth...
Oh Jan you just know you want to call him a n*gger but you can't and it's driving you crazy isn't it? Have another drink you f*cking lush.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama has the thickest skin of any current politician on the planet. He is a cool character who doesn't let mental midgets like Jan get under his skin. No other president has endured such nasty racist attacks as President Obama. I can't wait to vote for him in November and be part of another landslide victory for President Obama.
ReplyDeleteJan has no college degree just like Sarah! They have so much in common. I wonder if Jan ever faked a special needs pregnancy or snorted coke off an oil drum?
ReplyDeleteObama does not look like someone being cowed. He looks like he just got a whiff of her bad booze breath.
ReplyDeleteTo paraphrase George Carlin: "Anybody can have bad breath, Jan, but you could knock a buzzard off a shitwagon."
So this is who Sarah is endorsing?
ReplyDeleteLOL
http://www.nationalreview.com/articles/289159/gingrich-and-reagan-elliott-abrams
So she admits SHE brought up the subject of her "book". SHE is the one who asked for comment on it, and he gave it to her.
ReplyDeleteWhat the HELL is her problem?
the fukin' old skank hag wins chairperson honors for this centuries 'Tales of the Crypt'
ReplyDeleteIf Jan will lie about her father's death she will lie about anything, just like Sarah lying about Trig's birth.
ReplyDeleteAnd furthermore, she is a total ditz and dumbass, is allegedly alcoholic, drives drunk, and doesn't know HER place.
ReplyDeleteYou just KNOW she doesn't respect him from her posture and her comments afterwards.
Suck it, Jan.
Jan Brewer is doubling down on her stupidity and offensiveness. A good "crisis manager" would tell her to just SHUT UP and get herself in the next news cycle with some POSITIVE activity. But, stupid Brewer, had to characterize the President as "thin skinned" just to demonstrate the true meaning of "projection".
ReplyDeleteIf by some freak I was photographed shaking my finger in someone's face, particularly a President and a guest, I would just want to crawl under a rock and hide my shame... AFTER, of course, apologizing profusely with a phone call or a note.
There are so MANY brilliant, poised, and capable women politicians in this country. It's just agony when a dingbat like Jan Brewer gets the limelight.
"Otis." Haaaaaa!! LMFAO!!
ReplyDeleteThat picture is hilarious! It looks like she's snapping her fingers to summon her man servant. "Oh, boy!! Get over here now and bring me some spackle for my face! And grab that box of wine while you're over there."
Are vicious bitches always wonky-eyed? Just wondering. She looks like she has had too many scorpions for breakfast. She's filled with poison.
ReplyDeleteAnd I bet, if he's ever asked about this little contretemps in the future, and his opinion of Brewer, he'll simply reply "I don't think about Jan Brewer".
ReplyDeleteIt's the ultimate putdown!
Republican Arizona Governor Otis Brewer is a disgrace.
ReplyDeleteObama/Biden 2012
There goes that projection syndrome again.
ReplyDeleteBut you know, Brewer and her types are doing an excellent job of showing the world just watch complete idiots they are.
I think you folks got it all wrong....she heard there was a new version of the Wizard of Oz going into production was auditioning for the part of.......guess who?
ReplyDeleteSo the state official DRUNK waggles her finger at the POTUS.
ReplyDeleteToo bad someone doesn't take her down. The righties love it. Anything to try and humiliate the president.
The worst people on the net are the drunks. And this one happens to be in a position to get away with drunken behavior.
It's like Jan Brewer rose up from Sarah Palin's political ashes and took her place. WTF is up with these Republican women? I second a comment from yesterday's thread...these are the women that us "liberal" women are so jealous of? I think not. I'm quite secure in my own skin, these women, if you want to call them that, apparently are not. Yuck, is all I can say about them.
ReplyDeleteOld crone.
ReplyDeleteRacist as they come.
I think our President is fed up with these devils.
Never in a million years would she have shaken her finger like that at a white President. Never.
HE has think skin? Right, Jannie, think again. This picture shows you losing control, not the President. But keep lying. Every one of the lying GOParty is going down this fall. Every single one of you.
ReplyDeleteG -
ReplyDeleteThanks for the link to the journalist in Arizona. Very interesting article. I was not aware of her drinking problem. It sure would explain some of her bizarre behavior, though. It angers me to even look at her pointing her finger in Obama's face.
Pat Padrnos
I sent her a note through her website regarding the fact that she waggled her finger in the face of the sitting United States President, and my disgust at the blatant show of disrespect for the office of the Presidency.
ReplyDeleteoh, by the way, her maiden name was Drinkwine !!! - but she married a guy named Brewer.
ReplyDeleteShe was born to be a lush, and has fulfilled her destiny.
Hmmm.... did you notice that in profile, especially around the jaw line, Jan resembles, ... someone much younger....let me think..... she was on one of those fake reality shows, ....lost.... uhm oh, yeah...Bristol Palin, post her corrective jaw surgery.
ReplyDeleteBristol is so lucky to be able to have a preview of what she will look like as she ages.
The GOP Complains That Obama Has Succeeded Despite Their Obstruction
ReplyDelete...Daniels provided Americans with nothing they haven’t heard for three years and the people are weary of Republican lies and misinformation about this president. Americans are fully aware that General Motors and Chrysler repaid their government loans and are back in business stronger and leaner, and that the private sector is hiring again because the economic stimulus created millions of jobs. The economy is growing slowly, but it is growing in spite of Republican attempts to sabotage it to portray the President as ineffective.
Republicans cannot run against President Obama on his achievements because they lose that battle every time, and with more Americans approving his proposals in the State of the Union address, they cannot run against his plans for America’s future either. Their only legitimate complaint against President Obama is that he succeeded in spite of their obstruction and it will be their undoing.

The old Crypt Keeper needs to go back to her tomb, snuggle up with a bottle of schnapps and stay off the tee vee.
ReplyDeleteThis morning on the Today Show, Otis says she doesn't remember pointing her finger at the president, and then uses the racist dogwhistle that she felt a "little threatened".
http://www.thegrio.com/politics/jan-brewer-felt-a-little-threatened-by-president-obama.php
Governor (gag) Brewer is an Embarrassment to the People of Arizona, and I am one, and she should apologize first to the POTUS and then to us for the shame she has caused our state.
ReplyDeleteSarah has taught Brewer well how to spin hate and lies. What a creepy old woman. Just like Sarah.
ReplyDeleteJan Brewer's son is permanently incarcerated in a hospital for the criminally insane. He is one of only four of thousands whose records have been sealed from the public.

And I'd bet the rent that word is used profusely when they're in their back rooms and with prefixes such as "fucking," "Goddamned" and "uppity."
Interesting that she reported their meeting was "cordial" immediately after it happened. I wonder why would the teabagger governor would change her tune? Could it be to provide red meat for her book and reelection bid?

Well, DC did try to deter a state from attempting to fix a very serious problem in said state. Obama basically has ignored Mexico. Even W paid attention to our southern friends.

Good question. And just like Ol' $carah, do you suppose Jan "Otis" Brewer also (to use a favourite term of $carah's) flip-flopped like a halibut in the arms of a basketball player or flip-flopped like a halibut in the arms of a business partner of her husband's?
Brewer is just pissed because Gabby Giffords bill was passed.
ReplyDeleteThe AOL news blurb (courtesy of HuffPo) has the picture and the 'thin-skinned' headline. And, look how fast Fox got her on? She, fool that she is, made a headline without explanation as to what a fool she is, not to mention rude and crude.
ReplyDeleteOh please, oh please let's get these people out of office and the press. BTW remember when the press used to be on top of THE NEWS!
I watched a clip of Brewer touting her accomplishments in Arizona. She repeatedly said "I have did...this and I have did that..." What an embarrassment!
ReplyDeleteWhy the GOP race could be irrelevant
ReplyDeleteWhile the Mitt and Newt show rolls on, Obama is enjoying some of the best news and best poll numbers of his term.
Republican presidential candidates have devoted months, if not years, of their lives to chasing their party’s nomination, they’ve raised and spent (along with their Super PAC allies) tens of millions of dollars, and they’ve participated in more than a dozen debates – each of which has attracted a massive television audience.
But a startling new poll underscores what has got to be a maddening possibility for Republicans: It could all be for naught – and there may be nothing they can do about it. The NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey points to a measurable uptick in optimism about the country’s economic direction, and in the public’s assessment of President Obama’s performance.
By a 37 to 17 percent margin, respondents said they expect the economy to improve in the next year; back in October, they thought it would get worse by a 32-21 margin. And the number of Americans who believe the country is heading in the right direction now stands at 30 percent – hardly a huge number, but a clear jump from the 17 percent who said so in the fall. Overall, Obama’s approval rating is at 48 percent, the highest it’s been in an NBC/WSJ poll since June, when he was still basking in the afterglow of Osama bin Laden’s demise.

OMG!!!!! Jan Brewer is only one month older than I am!
ReplyDeleteWhat she meant was "dark-skinned" but is just bright enough to stop herself.
ReplyDeleteAnother uneducated, ignorant, racist governor with a big chip on her shoulder and mush for brains.
I can't imagine waving a finger at ANYBODY - EVER!!
ReplyDeleteMy goodness!!
That is about the rudest thing anybody could do.
So inappropirate. It doesn't matter the reason - she shouldn't have done that.
The chihuahua attacks the Great Dane. Just knock her over and sniff her butt and walk away. That ought to put her in her place. Effing rug rat.
ReplyDeleteMaybe if she would try to eat a bowl of oatmeal instead of scorpions, she would have a better day.
ReplyDeleteNow is a good time to recall that President Obama, starting as a young boy, has dealt with this kind of resentment and nastiness all his life. I'm guessing that for someone of his character these kinds of interactions and comments just strengthen his resolve and roll right off. You can tell by the polite and restrained smile of amusement on his face that he knows he was elected to be the president of idiots like this too.
ReplyDeleteMore teabagger projection from the wet brain governor. While her stunt may have riled the cowardly Southern mob teabagger base, it alienated independents nationally. Obama is lucky to have so many self-defeat prone opponents.
ReplyDeleteJan Brewer speaks and acts out from her own little dysfunction junction - creepily similar to Sarah's - of alcohol abuse and an adult son who is a convicted sex offender. More uneducated, ignorant trash who got enough votes to rise above their level of competence.
ReplyDeleteJust sickening.

How much shame and embarrassment can one state suffer? Gun auction fundraisers after Giffords shooting, insane immigrant laws, the McCain drugs and corruption, the lunatic sheriff and his fixation on pink as punishment, the Nazi sheriff candidate, and drunk old Jan Brewer reeling around the airport.
ReplyDeleteOh my I thought the old wrinkly maid was Sarah Palin.
ReplyDeleteJust think in a couple of months Sarah will look like her twin Brewhaha.
Check out the silhouette of her face, that nose and chin. She looks like a cartoon witch. Wow, did this stunt ever backfire. And then to call the man whom the entire world knows as no-drama Obama thinskinned? Epic. fucking. fail.
ReplyDeleteIf I was Brewer I would demand that photographers only take pictures of her good side.
ReplyDeleteThe problem is Herr Brewer doesn't have a good side!
If Sarah Palin dyed her hair blond we would be looking at Brewer 2.0.
ReplyDelete"He brought up my book. And he was a little tense. I asked him if he read my book..."
ReplyDeleteWhat a maroon! Three sentences in and she's already telling two different tales. He brought up her book. She asked him if he read her book. Which is it? If you asked him for his opinion, why shouldn't he give it? It's not "thin-skinned", it's called "honesty". Something that Jan Brewer is inherently bereft of.

ReplyDeleteFirst: ABC has come out that Gingrich saying that his campaign offered up all those friends who said his ex was lying about the 'open marriage' IS NOT TRUE. They only offered up the daughters. Gingrich lied in the CNN South Carolina debate -- SURPRISE!!!
What is the great move is that ABC waited until today to issue their statement -- the day of the Florida CNN debate. Payback to Gingrich?? Or King for his stupidity in the way he offered up the softball to Gingrich?? I'd say both!! ABC tossing 'some egg on your face John King!!'
Second: Alaska Airlines is stopping the handout of prayer cards.
It's about time. Nothing like ramming religion down your throat in-flight at 35,000 feet. Not like you can walk away or close your door. Yes I know a 'no thank you' should be sufficient to decline the prayer card -- but it's not the job of an airline to pimp religion. It's why I refused to fly Alaska Air after my first experience as one of the passengers started reading his aloud and others joined in. I immediately confronted a flight attendant that she stop them as I don't need preaching at 35,000 feet. Her response was, 'it's very short and only takes a moment'. 'Seriously, I don't give a rat's ass. Stop it - NOW'. Other passengers joined in with me to force the issue. I didn't pay my fair to include preaching - even if it was just 'a short prayer'. I have the option of going to a church or watching the 'thumpers' on TV -- but that's my choice.
Looks like some gin soaked shut-in accusing the professor who lives across the hall of stealing her cats' thoughts.
ReplyDeleteI can see why Our Lady of Perpetual Spite, St. Alopecia wrote the foreword to her book.
President Obama is pretty much unflappable and no way did this alchy take him off his game. Her breath and just plain stupidity would have been more the reason he'd turn away from her.
ReplyDeleteShe's doing this like the photo-op -- to up her Bagger cred as she'll use it in ads, pamphlets.
I won't be surprised to hear info leak as to what she said and what's in the letter. May not happen this moment, but if ads appear -- you can be guaranteed. It's always nice when the stunned and stupid provide their own ammunition.
With all her wrinkles she shouldn't be talking about thin skin in the first place.
ReplyDeleteHere is a story about Ron Brewer, one of Jan Brewer's three sons, who was found to have mental illness since he was a teen. He was charge with a knife point rape, and he was found not guilty by reason of insanity. He served 20 years in a mental hospital. When Jan Brewer was about to become governor (after Gov.Napolitano was named to Homeland Security), Brewer sought to seal her son's records. http://www.azcentral.com/news/election/azelections/articles/2010/09/14/20100914jan-brewer-son-medical-records.html
ReplyDeleteThere was a story about this at Huffington Post, and a disgruntled commenter wrote that Brewer arranged for her son to get $75,000 in social security payments for the time that he was incarcerated. There is no way to know if the comment is true or not.
She is being investigated for cashing her sons social security checks, which he should never have recieved, he is a felon she arranged for him to be put in a mental hospital. She should be committed The Sherilf Joe should stop being suied state of Arizona would be better off in the economy, stop blaming the president for his stupidety.Him and Brewer have put Az on the map. it.s a hazard to go out of state with AZ plates.
DeleteEgyptians are really excited.
ReplyDeleteThey say that Brewer is living proof that there is life after mummyfication.
President Obama thin-skinned?? That's a joke.
ReplyDeleteThe Bagger Skanks are 'victims' at every turn. That's the only thing they excel in as it sure isn't brains and as we seen the photos posted in comment links in the initial post by Gryphen -- the hags don't have the 'looks' either. Brewer & Palin both look like Mack trucks have hit them
The video that accompanies that link to the Arizona article is really amazing. HOW would anyone in their right mind elect such a stupid person to be governor of their state?
ReplyDeleteI have heard that many organizations have changed meeting that they had planned to have in Arizona because of this woman. Good for them. Since you elected her, you deserve the fall out.
This ought to make Alaskans feel better..you are the only one to elect an uneducated idiot woman for governor. At least this one doesn't seem to shove her family down everyone's throat too.
Her book has gone from 266,724 to 126 in sales at Amazon in one day.

Hmmm. I wonder where this idea came from ...
ReplyDeleteStickers depicting gun shots placed on doors of Missouri legislators.
the Secret Service needs to keep her away from the President....
ReplyDeleteWonder why Sarah has stayed so quite since she made the remark about Chris Christie. She has not even been on FOX spewing her hate following the President's speech. Sarah and Jan Brewer are hate filled people. The drugs and booze just gives them more courage to be stupid.
ReplyDeleteI wonder if Barack could smell booze on Brewer's breath when she was up in his face like that. He'd never tell, of course. But there's a little bit in me that wishes he'd say, "I might have talked longer to Gov. Brewer, if she hadn't reeked of wine and wasn't slurring her words."
ReplyDeleteIf there was a picture of a Democratic governor talking to GE Bush like this, some conservatives would have called for the death penalty. At the very least, they would have droned on and one about respecting the office. Brewer does not seem to be doing that.
ReplyDeleteSome of you can last longer in the conservative web cesspool longer than I can. What is the reaction there? Something tells me they think she is a hero.
This sort of crap is the reason I shudder every time I set foot in Arizona. But I have no choice, my in-laws retired there.

lol..from the linked Phoenix Time article
ReplyDeleteIt's a sure bet that Brewer did not write her own book. In her acknowledgments, she thanks ghostwriter Jessica Gavora for "helping me share the truth about SB 1070."
Gavora is a Republican speechwriter who helped Sarah Palin on her second book, America by Heart, published, as was Brewer's, by HarperCollins.
You KNEW someone would do it.
ReplyDeleteIt is so clear in this extended image in the body language that there is nothing threatening about President Obama, but there's a huge amount of nasty coming from the gov.
http://www.thepointingfinger.com/
Interesting that the old town drunk would be named "Brewer." So now even old hag face has felt the wrath of a Sarah Palin foreword. Nothing will ever be the same for her after this. She's now a crazed footnote in history like Joe "you lie!" Wilson. Where is he these days? Nowhere. So keep endorsin' and writin' Sarah! We like what you're doin' to the Teabaggers. And take a look at what all that hate did to Jan. That's what you'll look like any day now. It happens fast when you have THAT much hate swimming around in your malicious body.
ReplyDeleteI LOVE President Obama. Isn't he the coolest President, ever? Let's give him the landslide he deserves in November. Vote ALL the Rethug bums out!! And Arizona will have to live with, not just the crosshairs shame, but the shame of having Jan Brewer as their "Governor." Way to go, racist Teabaggers! You're toast. Just like Alaska's half-term quitter "Governor."
jeez, that's one ugly picture. Doesn't appear to have caught her in an off moment, either.
ReplyDeleteTipsy McPointer...she looks like Terrance Stamp in Priscilla: Queen of the Desert!
ReplyDeleteWhy, she does indeed look like a scorpion.
ReplyDeleteI doubt anyone would ever eat her, for breakfast or otherwise.
Governor Lizard Lady should be the last one to mention the word "skin"--in any context--as hers appears to be slipping off her skull.
ReplyDeleteOne can only imagine where a concerned and disappointed AZ voter would be if they attempted to confront Mz Brewer in this manner. I'm guessing Arpaio would be providing some transportation and lodging before the incident hit cyberspace.
ReplyDeleteI would love to see an under oath deposition from both sides as to the actual conversation from beginning to end. She has already thrown two slightly different versions to the media. She cunningly put the President in another of those damned if he does, damned if he doesn't situations if he chooses to respond to her allegations.

Ms. Brewer is guilty of GUI (governing under the influence).
ReplyDeleteReading the Pictures: Brewer-Obama: Letter Rip
ReplyDeleteThis shot above got the overwhelming share of attention because it best captures the situation -- a reactionary governor, overflowing with the same lack of respect for the President as the radical far-right she's aligned with, hitting him with a handwritten letter insisting on a follow-up meeting after she trashed him in a recent book for allegedly not being personable enough when she met him at the White House. From the pool account, Obama responded to the letter with some unbridled thoughts about the book. Now, Newt can characterize it as Obama "lecturing her" again, but you could just as well call it an ambush. (Note Obama with the letter in his hand.)
http://www.huffingtonpost.com/michael-shaw/jan-brewer-obama_b_1233922.html?ref=politics
The calm expression on Obama's face is the opposite of the 'heated' discussion much of the media is trying to present. The anger shown in the photo is clearly one-sided.
ReplyDeleteMeanwhile in GA, Orly Taitz found a judge who is allowing her to present her 'evidence' of Pres. Obama's ineligibility. The Birthers are ecstatic.

Her blatant disrespect of our President Obama has shown what a truly classless and MEAN person she is - trying to play to the Republican base and lying all along.
ReplyDeleteSadly, people in Arizona will probably "buy" her bs, and that is why ALL Americans should finally get out there and see not only what is happening in DC, but throughout the states when we see such an ignorant and vicious governor like Brewer is in Arizona. Hopefully, the good, intelligent people throughout America will speak out about her vicious hatred and disrespect of our President Obama, and let her know that we sure do not fall for her lies and spin. Hopefully, the people of Arizona will elect a governor who has some class next time, and who is not really all about lies and spin.!
There's nothing wrong with having Mimosas with brunch. I even like a coffee & Bailey's in the morning once in a while (don't judge me!). But scorpion bowls for breakfast? Seek help.
ReplyDeleteI'm still waiting for the Ancient Crone of Wasilla to spew for a bilious river of frothy hatred about Jan's finger pointing, and how Rill 'Mericans are so happy to see someone stand up to that Kenyan infiltrator.
ReplyDeleteHmm... I wonder if Jan chose that last name, or someone called her that after an epic binge one night
Jan BREWER! :O) O :O)
9:11 am. You are so lame. I am an immigration attorney. Obama has deported and strengthened the borders MORE than his predecessors. And it was the GOP God Ronald Reagan who passed amnesty, letting in millions of illegals.
ReplyDeleteBefore you speak, do some googling.
That WW of the West image is brilliant!! But Margaret Hamilton, the actress, had more class and talent in her little finger than Jan Brewer can ever hope for. So sad that some of the people Pres. O. has to deal with seem to be Gawd-awful reality show rejects.
ReplyDeleteAnd Palin has her rat's nests dollar store wigs in two states -- Alaska and Arizona. Speaks volumes!
ReplyDeleteHey, your touching me, damn you you, you MUSLIM, your going to try and kiss me I know it. Keep your liver lips off my knarly face.
ReplyDeleteCan't you just see it in her perspective. He desires her.
Over at Esquire, they compare her to those crazies you try and get away from at the airport.
ReplyDeleteYa know, the ones that mutter to themselves having conversations with imaginary opponents.
Fortunatly the president is a man with class and dignity.
She is another trashy Palin, only a bit further down the road of life.
This linked story sure shows the difference from time of the Bush administration to the Obama administration.
ReplyDelete"Supreme Court to hear case on arrest at Cheney event"
Cheney, when confronted by a man in 2006, (and IMO knowing that Cheney is a devil in deguise), had the man arrested by Secret Service:
"The Supreme Court agreed to decide whether a Secret Service agent can be held liable for arresting a Colorado man who confronted then-Vice President Dick Cheney and told him his "policies in Iraq are disgusting."
"And second, the Colorado man touched or pushed Cheney as he confronted him, and a lower court said his arrest was justified for that reason"
http://articles.latimes.com/2011/dec/05/nation/la-na-court-cheney-20111206
The man 'touched' Cheney. Touched.
Cheney is the ultimate douchebag.
Time for SS to arrest all the fucking morons that will show up at his speaking events with guns. If a 'touch' is arrest worthy - guns most certainly are.
Threatened by the President's attitude toward her? She was probably just offended by his indifference to her deluded sense of her own importance.
ReplyDeleteIs it my imagination or does he look just a tiny bit amused by her(drunken?)tirade?
Am I wrong to imagine really bad breath in his face? He is the most amazingly tolerant man.

The "cream" must rise to the top in this race.
Sarah is that cream.
If we think about this metaphor, we wiil realize that cream "rises to the top" because of its INTRINSIC NATURE!!
So with Sarah, virtue and goodness have become "SECOND NATURE" for her as a result of the courageous, gutsy, good, and moral life that she has lived. She doesn't have to be pushed artificially and unnaturally upward through money and through mendacious propaganda.
Just as cream ascends naturally to the top, so Sarah will ascend naturally to the Presidency ... unless evil men and women can block her.
The Lord willing, they will not succeed.
Arise, Sarah!!
Arise, America!!
Arriba, America!!!
DEO VOLENTE, SARAH 2012!!!!
My question: how can we all be living in such different realities?
For those who have pointed out the coincidence of her last name being "Brewer" while being an obvious drunk, you should know that is her married name. Her Maiden name happens to be "Drinkwine".
ReplyDeleteTrue story.
Maybe he told her to sober up before speaking to him again? She has a reputation for hitt9ing the bottle.
ReplyDeleteDear God ... she's 67 years old. Six years older than me. I've seen ladies in the 80s who look better. Maybe that's the operative word - LADIES.
ReplyDeleteI love this. Twitter is evidently full of Righties urging Gingrich to use her as his VP if he wins the Republican primaries.
ReplyDeleteLOL. Sarah Palin must be livid.
Mitt has some more bad karma today.
ReplyDeleteHope his haters don't jump on this.
"Romney tax returns detail funds not identified in ethics forms"
Some investments listed in Mitt and Ann Romney’s 2010 tax returns – including a now-closed Swiss bank account and other funds located overseas – were not explicitly disclosed in the personal financial statement the GOP presidential hopeful filed in August as part of his White House bid.
The Romney campaign described the discrepancies as “trivial” but acknowledged Thursday afternoon that they are undergoing an internal review of how the investments were reported and will make “some minor technical amendments” to Romney’s financial disclosure that will not alter the overall picture of his finances.

haha
Forgot a few overseas funds?
Ya gotta hate it when that happens to me and you.
Mitt is so rich that he really can't come up with an accurate number for what he is worth.

Oh hey there you are Sarah! You've been very quiet lately so we were getting worried about another overdose. Has Fox smacked you down for appearing on their network high as a kite again or was it that whole panties in a wad thingy? How long are you banned this time? Maybe this is the bottom you finally need to hit to sober up and get clean. Good luck.
PS - You're welcome for correcting your misinformation above. You managed to jam 4 lies into that small comment. Impressive. Sadly, the truth is President Obama has deported more illegal immigrants than any president so your whole argument is a failure.
Ah, the Sarah Palin crosshairs, er, surveyors marks.

That picture is hilarious! Of course it's the same woman. Has anyone ever seen the wicked witch of the west and Jan together? It's obviously her; she must go incognito to all functions and has one a fold-up broom in her purse, much like those fold-up canes for the elderly.
ReplyDeleteShe can't fool us!!
My mother taught me to never point at another person as it's considered rude. I guess Jan had a shitty mother. No wonder she turned out to be a barely literate alcoholic.
ReplyDeleteJan Brewer is a stupid moron who is obviously intimidated by President Obama's superior intelligence.
ReplyDeleteSee and I got a totally other perspective from this picture:
ReplyDelete"Closer, please. Clo-ser ffft, fffft."
Top Democrat: Brewer's Actions Were "Embarrassment" For Arizona
ReplyDeleteThe head of Arizona’s Democratic Party said the way Gov. Jan Brewer acted toward the president on Wednesday was an “embarrassment” for the state.
In an email to supporters on Thursday, state party chairman Andrei Cherny said the Republican governor should have taken a much different tone when meeting the president.
“Instead of welcoming President Obama at the airport with dignity and decency, she presented him with a demand letter that he accompany her on a visit to the border and — wagging her finger in the president’s face — she lectured him on how she had ‘saved’ Arizona,” Cherny wrote. “Jan Brewer’s actions are an embarrassment. She has shown disrespect to our president and brought disgrace to the office of the governor.”
http://livewire.talkingpointsmemo.com/updates/4755
Jan Brewer is an idiot, just like her friend, Sarah Palin.
ReplyDeleteUnfortunately, disrespecting the President earns you a badge of honor in the Republican party.
This is o/t but I live in Jax, Fl and the Republican debate is here tonight. We are going to need to disinfect the area.
I think the one piece of video that says it all for Jan Brewer is her brain freeze: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=m-_t_m0Yo8k
ReplyDeleteJan is looking down at notes and she still cannot think of one thing that she has done as governor. She makes Rick Perry and his Oooops moment look like Einstein. There is something seriously wrong with her.
Who was the one wagging her bony finger in the president's face with her face contorted into a sneer? I didn't see the president doing that. It looked for all the world like it is Brewer that has the thin skin - or rather, hide.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama is legendary for not losing his cool. Brewer and McCain are the ONLY two people to allege otherwise. They are both documented liars, so why should we believe their assertions?
Brewer wants to talk about skin?
ReplyDeleteThen maybe Brewer should talk about how she shares the same skin tone with Sally Heath, Sarah Palin, soon to be wrinkly old dude Bristol and a Chinese Shar-Pei dog!
Neither Brewer or Palin have a college degree.
ReplyDeleteMoisterize much ??
ReplyDeleteOld Baldy Palin has been awfully quiet since her slur on Christie.
ReplyDeleteShe hasn't made a peep about the SOTU, you hasn't tweeted an angry retort to President Obama about her Grizzled Arizona mean girl drunk's embarrassing display of ignorant disrespect.
She must have gotten a HUGE smackdown from the GOP establishment for her crap. Then she freaked and is totally medicated and hiding out.
Or not.
Nevertheless, it's been awfully quiet from the Northern Whackcase.

ReplyDeletehttp://news.yahoo.com/blogs/technology-blog/newt-gingrich-promises-build-moon-colony-2020-u-211103078.html
Gingrich promises a moon colony by 2020 -- even if technologically feasible, it would be unfundable and pointless -- and suggests the moon could be the 51st state once it has 13,000 people on it. Not going to happen. And even if the moon had 13,000 inhabitants it wouldn't attain statehood before DC or Puerto Rico does.
Next idiot ....
So, the cheap leather bag is claiming that President Obama is thin-skinned?

ReplyDeleteLooks like Gov Burntface story isn't holding up...TPM has some details...
ReplyDelete"President Obama didn’t exactly walk away from Arizona Gov. Jan Brewer (R) during their disagreement on Wednesday on an airport tarmac near Phoenix, said one of the only people to witness the exchange up close. The president simply began talking to the other two elected officials who were there to greet him.
Mayor Scott Smith of Mesa, Ariz., declined to say exactly what he heard Obama and Brewer talk about during their now-infamous tiff next to Air Force One.
But the mayor said he was standing right next to the governor when the exchange took place and Obama didn’t seem to be in any kind of hurry to leave.
“There was no sense that he was running to or from anything,” Smith told TPM. In fact, he said, the president stayed and had a pleasant conversation with Smith, who’s a Republican, and Phoenix Mayor Greg Stanton, a Democrat."

I believe that Jan Brewer is merely gesticulating to an imperious looking president. Good for her. (From what I have seen he is constantly being photographed with his back straight, head tilted slightly back, and looking down his nose on people.)
ReplyDeleteThe CNN debate might get interesting tonight when you think of the looney tune ideas like the moon colony that Newt is sputtering. Add the fact is was getting totally pissed yesterday and it showed.
ReplyDeleteTime for a Newt explosion!!
Remember - tonight they are allowing clapping and cheering at the debate. Newt didn't have that at the last debate so he's got a double dose of throwing explosives stored inside the 'Michelin Man' body. He's been holding it in for too long and has to blow the back-up air out soon or he'll explode!!
Has Palin finally been banished from Fox after her "panties in a wad" soundbite? I bet Ailes finally realized how mean and disrepespectful - and toxic - she is. just like her pal Brewer. They act like they were raised by baboons.
ReplyDelete@Everyday Freethought:
ReplyDeleteYou are 100% right in thinkingthat some brain-dead cretins think she's a hero. They mistake mindless belligerence and bravado for being "manly," which is why they make monumentally stupid remarks to the effects that shrill banshees like Brewer, Bachmann, and Palin have more "balls" than our president. I was not aware that she is alleged to be an alcoholic, but it would help to explain the fact that she's an Arizona prune. The ugliness of the inner woman is reflected in the ugliness of her spirit. Her disrespect of the president speaks volumes about her alone, as well as her mindless supporters.

ReplyDeleteOh, my, that is just not something a black man should do, look down his nose at people. How dare he! Even if it's because he's taller than they are and doesn't really have the option of looking up to talk to them. And even if he is in fact, in the encounter with Brewer, looking friendly and touching her elbow in a friendly manner. Show me some pictures of Barack that piss you off the most, please. I'd love to see how easily you get pissed off at a black man behaving like a decent and respectful human being.

Brewer usually looks pretty slim.
Wearing a bullet proof vest like her fearless leader Duhbya?
Why would you be afraid that an Arizonan might try to assassinate a Democratic politician Jan?
Yet Obama never seems to have that magic 30 pound weight gain and loss that some brave politician have.
Loved Bush in his Frankensuit and Frankenshoes there on the shores of the Black Sea.
Newt appears to have been on Hannity last night.

You low IQ bigots are always so transparent. President Barrack Hussein Obama is an intelligent, well educated adult who is conducting himself like all Presidents (and adults) should, with grace, and dignity, and patience. The problem for you is that he is black. You really didn't want to say "imperious" did you?... of course not. You wanted to say "uppity." There are plenty of blogs for people like you, this isn't one of them. Go wallow in an environment that suits your ignorant bigotry, you know, one of those sites that has tips on how to best whiten your sheets.

ReplyDeleteYou ROCK!! I love your style. These cretins have most likely been in-breeding for years and are barely functioning mutants.
Way to tell a racist how to kiss our ass!!!
our wonderful president needs to have video cameras going at every event to document these interactions. do not give opportunity for lies.
ReplyDelete12:14..their all nuts!
ReplyDeleteShe's asking him to come on back a the house and bust up this ole chiffarobe.
ReplyDeleteWomen like Governor Orange Peel Jawline become postergirls for why women wind up getting edged out of business and important decision making. They represent the majority of women to everyone.
ReplyDeleteI don't want brassiness in my lawmakers: standing up to someone gracefully vs. "I CALLED THE PRESIDENT OUT" show two different levels of diplomacy. Winning does not mean you galled half the country. Sometimes winning means you were graceful and everyone knew you won. Sometimes winning means you lose but held yourself together and all anyone can say is that you are better than they are.
So an elected official goes into a policy meeting with another elected official on an interest they're working together on. They don't always agree on politics, and the chemistry between them is maybe not so great, but hey, they can work on this issue.
ReplyDeleteLater one party writes a public account that shows the other in a personally unflattering way. There are consequences - at the very least maybe it's counterproductive to your common work. Or the other releases his own public comment. But in this case, unlike Bristol Palin or Meghan McCain, he doesn't take to Facebook to start a flame war.
But the next time official number one says, "Let's get together and meet on this issue," the second one says, "Well, last time we met you wrote a very negative account of our meeting. So why should I meet with you?"
End of story. Brewer's an idiot, and the senile old bag is playing the victim here.
The other bonus is, because of this story folks all over the country have learned (I see it mentioned on every comment board) that Jan Brewer is suspected of being a drunk.
Newt Gingrich and the moronic Anon @ 2:32 PM are wrong:
ReplyDeleteTurns out Brewer lied to the press in all the post-Obama meet-and-greet interviews afterwards.
