Sarah Palin continues to wander around Fox studios desperately looking for attention. Update!

"Look at me, look at me, look at me now!"
I was not going to include any Palin interviews today, because frankly I am fed up with Palin's flirtatious Fox photo-ops.

However this one, where she wanders into the studio of some radio host I have never heard of called Tom Sullivan, was interesting in that Palin seemed to completely misunderstand the point he was making, and tries to defend HER version of "family values" by using Bristol as an example.

Here is the statement that Sullivan makes:

"The day before President Kennedy was assassinated, most rich people, most poor people. Most minorities, most majorities. 98% of the people were..that were adults..were married. They mostly went to church. They may have been in different economic zones, but they all kind of had the same values. And we don't have that now. Not even close to that, now we're down to something like 40% of adults are married, we're at a minority."

Now he is quoting from a book written by Charles Murray, and I am very suspicious of his data on this, but the point that Sullivan is making is clear. He blames much of the "breakdown of the American families" on a new looser moral code.  This is, purposefully or not, a direct attack on Palin, her morals, and how she has raised her family.

I am not at all sure that his point was completely understood by the Grizzled Mama who responds with this:

"You know what though? Look at my own, kinda thinking selfishly here, look at my life situation and how, perhaps, some of the things that I personally have gone through can be used as an example of, 'life happens.' For instance look at my daughter, she was a teenager, she was pregnant, she has this most beautiful baby now, but she recognizes, wow life would have been a lot easier and made more sense had this happened to me a decade from now, once I had my education, if I were married, and all that. However, and life also is all about, and your chances for prosperity and for success are all about how you are going to deal with the circumstances that your facing. My daughter Bristol decided, welp I'm going to DO this, I'm going to be independent and responsible, I will take responsibility, I will work extremely hard. She has two jobs, she works very, very hard. She's quite..um..modest and humble about where she does spend her money so that she has a future for her son. She's reacted well to the circumstances that she has been in, and it's an example of, okay life happens, it's not always perfect, ideal situations, how are you going to react to those? And again are you going to be personally responsible or are you going to have government do it for you?"

Now I am not a moralist, and don't necessarily agree with Sullivan, but his point about the fact that strong healthy families, usually make for strong healthy children, who then go on to have strong healthy families of their own, is not entirely incorrect. (Though I also believe that unhealthy relationships which "stay together for the children" can be much more damaging than divorce.)

I don't believe that Palin recognizes that the unhealthy environment which she had created at home (And which has been colorfully illustrated by Joe, Levi, and Frank Bailey's books), had essentially predetermined some of the problems her children are facing today.

So instead she did what she always does. She invented a healthy outcome for her daughter's "mistake," in which today everything is perfect, despite imperfect decisions in the past. Bristol is working two jobs, is modest and humble, and is NOT relying on the government for a hand out.

Of course WE know that Bristol's reality show, her job, seems to have crashed and burned, she has had several cosmetic surgeries, and that she is being partially supported by her mother.

She doesn't need a government handout because her mother's influence has helped her to get a book deal, appear on television, and film a pilot for a now defunct reality show.

So how was that being "personally responsible?"

And let's certainly not forget that Bristol got pregnant on purpose, it did not just happen to her.

She did it to get her mother's attention, force her to stop making her take care of the house, and to force her to stop taking her for granted. And it worked.

And, if rumors are true, it is STILL the best way to get Mommy's attention.

In a nutshell those are Sarah Palin's "family values" whether she admits them or not. How does that stack up to what the GOP is promoting in this 2012 election cycle?

Still think she will emerge victorious from a brokered convention?

(P.S. to hear this interview for yourself just click Tom Sullivan's name at the top of the post.)

Update: I don't want to do yet another Palin post today so let me just  attach the link to the Grizzled Mama's personal message to fans here.

And here are a few of more interesting excerpts for your enjoyment.

I’ll miss the start of the race because I’m visiting troops in Indiana on their way to Afghanistan, and it is important … these deployed troops and those returning — whom I so honor — they are our heroes. So, I’ll miss the first day of the Iron Dog, but then I’ll get home to cheer Todd on throughout that week. That’s one day in our lives, that’s Sunday. (laughter)

Yep just visiting the troops, like any ex-reality show star would do. Certainly does NOT indicate any problems in the old marriage, right?

The kids are very busy. My son’s in the service, the oldest. And Bristol’s very busy. She’s working full-time for a dermatologist. She loves her job in an office there, raising her son Tripp, a single parent, doing great. She’s also shooting a [documentary] series – kind of the antithesis of the ‘Teen Mom’ stuff you see on MTV, for Lifetime. She’s shooting these segments that show what real life is like for a single mom who loves her son more than life itself, but sure wishes that maybe a decade from now after she had an education, after she had some career experience under her belt, then she would have had a baby.

Actually there may be a NEW Alaska based reality show in the works for Bristol.  Or so says some film insider pals of mine. Apparently THAT is one of the "two jobs" she is currently working on,

Willow’s doing awesome. She’s going to graduate high school a year early, and then she’s going off to hair school, and she’s so excited about that. She’s 17, and she was in New York and D.C. with me at the beginning of the week, and Willow got a little taste of real life because she was telling some folks that she was proud that she was getting to graduate a year early and that she’d gotten everything lined up and then she got accepted to hair school. Then it occurred to her, she was like, “I think they looked at me, mom, like, ‘well if you’re willing to pay the tuition, doesn’t everybody get accepted to hair school?’” But she’s still real excited, and I’m excited for her.

I will let this pass without comment. I am sure many of you will take up the slack.

And Trigg is just the light of our life … just an awesome little kid. He got glasses yesterday. He’s almost four years old, and [it's] just the sweetest little heart of gold that he has. He keeps us grounded, keeps us knowing what our right priorities are.

Trigg got glasses today? Well that's about damn time!

In a sense, Sarah is everything he has said. Her family is healthy because of the good sense they were instilled with. Her kids have healthy mentalities, all have solid jobs and focuses, and are down to earth. So this quote you use, "problems her children are facing today" doesn't make sense and means you are still creating a fictional reality for yourself and your blog.

Is she forcing herself onto these people in the hopes that someone will reach out to her? Maybe she's feeling a little cold shoulder at FOX. I really think she was hoping she could get something going during her East Coast visit this week and went to extremes to win over someone with deep pockets. Could she be going home empty handed? She tried all her old tricks and maybe even some new ones but could it be that everything she's thrown at others is coming back to her?

Bristol does not seem to have learned about spending money. Why did she buy a huge house in Arizona that she doesn't live in? What are her two jobs? Well, at least she doesn't claim that she is going to school.

If you were to look at things subjectively, Sarah is the embodiment of family values and good, no nonsense children. Yes Bristol made mistakes, mistakes she admits to. She fed her lifelong fascination with babies with the choice to have a baby. Teens aren't rational beings, they don't think longterm. If her family were anything less than solid, she'd be floundering as many teens do upon making similar decisions. (I will say that if Bristol actually had that extra responsibility (though don't we all at her age) you'd think she'd be able to cook. HThe girl burns eggs.) Her parents know how to raise responsible people, who own their lives. There was no question in Bristol's mind that things would be okay in the end BECAUSE of the family strength. Look how happy she was in May 08 in the office picture (contrary to Levi's pissed demeanor) How many kids often pay visits to the parent's office? How many choose to visit home daily and to live near their parents? They have the morals children need to survive and be happy. Have you even met them or talked to knowledgeable people who have? It sounds as if you haven't or you wouldn't have written the above post. Ya just gotta get the lies out of your head. The only way to see things clearly.

You act like the reality show is Bristol's only job. While filming is work and she I'm sure gets paid, she has had her Derm office job SINCE Mid 09, taking the dwts leave. That is where she works now.

Two comments, one troll, you must have struck a nerve. Willow graduating a year early? Or is that she got kicked out or quit school? Don't even want to go there about the rumors regarding another Palin baby.

Great life? Not so much Sara. You must be really sucking the gas pipe if you think you're grifting days are on the wane and you have no idea how to keep that lifestyle going. What happens when you can't afford to keep up the hush money payments?

    Okay Sarah,
    1) No mention about Willow being pregnant

    2) According to Wiki:
    When is Willow Palin's birthday?

Willow was born July 7, 1994. Her birth announcement appears in the Anchorage Daily News, July 25, 1994.
NOTE: I have not personally looked up the ADN story from that date to confirm this information, but others who have say this information appears there.
    http://wiki.answers.com/Q/When_is_Willow_Palin's_birthday

    ???????????

Okay that makes Willow 18 years old in July 2012. I guess for a Palin that's graduating early?

    Alaska are you telling me:
    1) Soon to be 18 year old is graduating a “year” early
    2) Which means Willow is currently in her Junior year of high school if she attended school.
    3) Willow did not attend her whole Junior year, she is seen running around in the lower 48.
    4) Willow missed the majority of her Junior year and is graduating early?
    5) If Willow did not graduate early and completed her Senior year of high school she would almost be 19 years old?

Alaska are you telling me that the highest grade / completed school year that Willow attended was 10th grade and she is graduating early?

    WTF?

Why even have schools in Alaska if you qualify to graduate after 10 years of school?

Never mind the birth dates, lets just concentrate on what Sarah Palin said,

"Willow’s doing awesome. She’s going to graduate high school a year early, …”

Sarah is saying Willow is currently a junior in high school period. We know Willow missed just about her entire Junior school year in high school running around in Los Angeles wanting to be a reality star, in Minnesota delivering snowmachines, in Washington DC showing off her baby bump and every where else which means the last time Willow was in school and completed the entire school year is she was when she was a Sophomore in high school, a 10th grader and she is graduating early?

    Is the girl RETARDED?

We know Willow had troubles with breaking and entering, homophobic rants and drugs issues and Alaska you are telling me Willow is graduating early after only completing her Sophomore year in high school??

Todd must have special records of the school district superintendent kept by Shailey Tripp to pull that one off?

I hope you are not telling us that Willow’s school officials weren’t only educators, they were also Todd’s / Shailey Tripp’s clients?

    Trolls:

Save it, nobody is buying what you're selling. The Paylin family is the textbook description of "dysfunctional". They are the embodiment of all that is unhealthy and the opposite of down-to-earth. How many mentally healthy, down-to-earth 21 year old women have plastic surgery on their faces? The reality proves you wrong, although I know you deal in an alternate universe.

The irony of Paylin decrying government hand-outs when she LIVES on hand-outs from her 'bots is amazing.

And Willow graduating a year early?

    Dear 10:42 --

Please give some examples of the jobs that the three oldest Palin children have. You don't have to cite the employer -- just the number of hours worked each week, the general area of expertise.
Also, please explain why all these kids with "healthy mentalities" have not had the slightest interest in, or encouragement toward, some sort of higher education. (Higher than a high school drop-out.) In this day and age, ignorance isn't healthy.
It's not healthy for teenagers -- children themselves -- to give birth to children. Their own bodies are not fully developed. So, the Palin girls having early, out-of-wedlock pregnancies, are not doing themselves or their children any favors. They do not have "good sense." Bristol herself admitted she was incapable of remembering to take her "cramp" pills while she was having teenage sex with a guy who treated her badly from the beginning. This is not the sign of a healthy, intelligent, independent or successful child. And Sarah Palin is partly responsible for this wayward behavior.

    1. Sarah is not going to be at start of the Iron Dog? Wow! For someone who loves and supports her husband so much, this is huge! Instead she’ll be with troops in Indiana? This fact alone speaks volumes as to the state of the Palin’s marriage.

    2. Track is still in the service? Ummm… I thought that he had been discharged?

    3. Bristol has another reality TV show in the works? We all know that the one with the Massey brothers for the BIO channel got nixed, but now she’s got one for Lifetime? WTF?

    4. Willow is graduating early? Ummm… last we heard, Willow was being home schooled, so I guess this is possible, but is it really “early”? Shouldn’t she be graduating now anyhow? And is Sarah throwing Willow under the bus by saying “well if you’re willing to pay the tuition, doesn’t everybody get accepted to hair school?”

    5. Trig is just getting glasses? I thought we saw them on him in an interview from several years ago? I distinctly remember Sarah saying in an interview (Barbara Walters, maybe?) that he looked so cute with them on.

    Dear Troll,

Unfortunately, your mother chose to film a reality show about herself and her family (and, tangentially, about her home state). The entire country was allowed into your home, was given the opportunity to see your family dynamics, and to therefore have an opinion about what the Palins were paid to show us.

We saw Piper cheating on her math, while her mother was distracted. We see Piper unable to spell. Piper must have been enrolled in summer school. We see Willow and her boyfriend directly disobeying Mrs. Palin's instructions that no boys were allowed upstairs -- with no consequences. We heard virtually nothing from Todd Palin. We saw Track and his friends disrespecting his parents on that fishing gig.
We saw the awkward interactions between Bristol and her mother, at the firing range and on the halibut boat. We saw everyone in an RV, with no seat belts. We saw not one book, magazine or newspaper in the ugly warehouse known as the Palin Estate. Etc. It was a real eye-opener.
Plus, we were fortunate enough to hear Palin whining constantly about anything and everything.
We learned that her children disrespect her, that her boasts about her outdoor living were bogus, and that the Palin household revolved around an aggressively egotistical woman and the "family" she keeps around her.
So, we're not ignorant in our views about you all. We have some insight into your family values and your lack of energy, intelligence, education, respect, responsibility.
So, Troll -- please go to the library and check out some books -- any books -- and read something. Maybe get out some children's books for your child/ren. Learn to cook -- it's not as hard as it looks, and is healthier than take-out. Fruits and vegetables are your friends, and can help control the weight you're constantly fighting.
Wake up and get yourself a life before you sink into the abyss which is Sarah Palinsanity.

Let's be honest. Sarah is famous for race-baiting. Schmidt did not want to sully McCain so he had Sarah do the dirty work. And she took to it like white on rice. And now, thanks to Joe McGinniss we have some insight into why.

But as more info about her family came out, the whole dog whistling about the Obamas backfired.

People began to realize that the Palins bore an uncanny resemblance to the stock stereotypes used in a Southern Strategy. Drug use, truancy, teen pregnancy, unemployed husband, absent mother. These were clearly not things associated with the Obamas.

That outburst by Palin makes it clear that she is obsessed with the fact people look to the Obamas as role models and the Palins as examples of what not to do.

Remember when Bristol was on Dr. Drew? He treated her quite well and gave her every opportunity to explain her feelings and actions. After the interview, Dr. Drew gave his analysis of the Palins.....an analysis which surprisingly most people ignored. He diagnosed the Palin's as dysfunctional....as members of an "enmeshed family" in which members have no individuality or boundaries. It is a dysfunction which cripples individual development and independence. Oh yes....the Palins are a wonderful family we should all emulate. Ha!!

Anonymous @10:42 "In a sense, Sarah is everything he has said. Her family is healthy because of the good sense they were instilled with. Her kids have healthy mentalities, all have solid jobs and focuses, and are down to earth. So this quote you use, "problems her children are facing today" doesn't make sense and means you are still creating a fictional reality for yourself and your blog."

That may be the silliest comment I've ever seen anywhere on the Internet. Are you talking about Sarah Palin's brood of amoral misfits having strong mentalities? The Palin kid who was shipped out when he was a teenager? Never have known if that was before or after he cut the brake lines to 40 or 50 school buses but no matter.

Or the Palin daughter who got knocked up in a tent when she was drunk? and had to be farmed out to Sarah's sister. And consequently had 1, or 2,or is it three illegitimate children? The one who is so insecure she had disfiguring cosmetic surgery at the age of 20? Or the other teenage daughter who was caught breaking into and vandalizing the house of friends of her parents? and who may or may not be pregnant herself. All three of those kids weren't "focused" enough to graduate from high school. Is that the family and children you're talking about?

All while daddy was looking for love outside the home and running a prostitution ring and while mama was preening, primping and prick teasing trying be something she was never capable of handling.

Sarah is so unhealthy now that she has no idea that the majority of the country makes fun of her for her coy, cutesy, flirtatious actions as she babbles foolishness. No amount of money will be able to raise her IQ above 83. If she and Todd had any sense, they would forget about politics, move to Nevada and open a brothel. Give all of their spawn jobs and maybe give discounts to other RWNJs.

Sarah, go take another hit and STFU, you freak.

Please give some examples of the jobs that the three oldest Palin children have. You don't have to cite the employer -- just the number of hours worked each week, the general area of expertise. IS THIS YOUR BUSINESS, SPECIFICALLY? WILL IT HELP YOU LIVE A FULFILLING LIFE, LIVING OFF OTHERS LIVES? SAD LIFE YOU LIVE IF TRUE. IF YOU GET YOUR KICKS FROM A BLOGGER WHO DOESN'T EVEN HAVE AN ACCURATE DEPICTION OF PEOPLE YOU AND HE DOESN'T KNOW, YOU'RE EVEN SADDER.

Also, please explain why all these kids with "healthy mentalities" have not had the slightest interest in, or encouragement toward, some sort of higher education. OUT OF EVERYONE WE, AS AMERICANS, HAVE WITNESSED LIVING THEIR LIVES, WHAT MAKES A PERSON HAPPY? IS IT SOLELY HIGHER EDUCATION OR IS IT DOING WHAT MAKES ONE HAPPIEST? MY, YOU'RE QUITE THE ELITEST. I GUESS YOU SECRETLY HATE PEOPLE LIKE GATES BECAUSE THEY'RE DROPOUTS WHO PURSUED WHAT CALLED THEN AND MAKES/MADE THEM HAPPIEST. NONE OF PALIN'S KIDS ARE HS DROPOUTS OR THE EQUIVALENT TO DEADBEATS, NOT THAT YOU'D CARE FOR THE TRUTH EVEN IF YOU WITNESSED IT.

    ignorance isn't healthy.
HATING OUT OF IGNORANCE ISN'T HEALTHY. HATING ON PEOPLE YOU DONT KNOW ISN'T HEALTHY. LIVING THE LIFE YOU IMAGINE IS HEALTHY, WHATEVER WAY THAT IS. THERE IS NOT ONE METHOD TO LIVING LIKE. THERE ARE AS MANY AS THE NUMBER OF HUMANS ON THIS PLANET.

It's not healthy for teenagers -- children themselves -- to give birth to children. Their own bodies are not fully developed. So, the Palin girls having early, out-of-wedlock pregnancies, are not doing themselves or their children any favors. GIRLS? I COUNT 1. AND NOT TOO LONG AGO, IT WAS CUSTOM FOR TEEN-AGED YOUNG WOMEN TO MARRY AND HAVE BABIES. WHAT'S NO "HEALTHY" ABOUT IT? IT'S SAID TO BE NOT HEALTHY FOR 38+ WOMEN TO GIVE BIRTH, THOUGH SOME CHOOSE TO THEN FOR THE FIRST TIME. I KNOW MANY A TEEN WHO DOESN'T LET THEIR BABY RUIN THEIR FUTURES, AS ONE MIGHT ASSUME THEY WOULD. GO TO THE SOUTH, WHERE MANY A FAMILY STARTS YOUNG AND THRIVES, WITH OCCASIONAL, NORMAL TRIALS AND TRIBULATIONS. AGE IS NOTHING. MENTALITY IS EVERYTHING.

AND SHE ADMITTED THOSE WERE MISTAKES DUMBSHIT. HER BIG MISTAKES STARTED WHEN SHE CHOSE SUPERFICIALITY OVER SENSE. DID YOU READ HER BOOK? DAMN YOUR READING COMPREHENSION IS LACKING.

AND I SAID "HAVE" GOOD SENSE, AS IN PRESENT. PEOPLE MAKE MISTAKES. IN THAT INTERVIEW, SARAH ADMITS TO MAKING MISTAKES AND NOT BEING PERFECT.

You really are a hateful, biased person by nature aren't you? Can you not see anything objectively?Must you use a 13 yr old's mentality and assume rumors and strangers words/opnions are truth?

However, I don't know what the rules are for when kids can start school in Alaska.

According to Sarah.. “…Willow’s doing awesome. She’s going to graduate high school a year early, and then she’s going off to hair school"

If Willow is graduating a year early, how can Willow be in her Senior year? She is then in her Junior year and she hasn't even completed her Junior year of school because she was supposedly expelled in 2011? Whatever the reason is, Willow is not in school, she has been traveling the lower 48 like Piper used to do.

Delusion - "The White House and many liberals in Congress are so addicted to that OPM, other people’s money, that it’s much easier to spend other people’s money than their own."

The Reality - "While publicly supporting Palin, McCain's top advisers privately fumed at what they regarded as her outrageous profligacy. One senior aide said that Nicolle Wallace had told Palin to buy three suits for the convention and hire a stylist. But instead, the vice presidential nominee began buying for herself and her family--clothes and accessories from top stores such as Saks Fifth Avenue and Neiman Marcus. According to two knowledgeable sources, a vast majority of the clothes were bought by a wealthy donor, who was shocked when he got the bill. Palin also used low-level staffers to buy some of the clothes on their credit cards. The McCain campaign found out last week when the aides sought reimbursement. One aide estimated that she spent 'tens of thousands' more than the reported $150,000, and that $20,000 to $40,000 went to buy clothes for her husband."

While I don't demean the girsl for wanting to go to 'hair school,' whatever that is, we have heard sonce Bristol broke up with Levi the last time (right after the $100,000 magazine cover annoucning their re-engagement) that Bristol was (1) going to college, (2) an office manager in Anchorage, where she moved to expres her independence, and then used a string of young men to help her with the baby, (3) going on DWTS because she needed 'fun,' (4) buying a house in Arizona, auditioning at the radio station, not living in the AZ house, losing DWTS, signing onto another TV project, putting the AZ house for sale, moving to LA, moving back home, (5) living in Wasilla in a house that will be remodeled for thousands of dollars so she can raise the pre-schooler in style, (6) traipsing around DC with her crates of unsold books, begging for people to take them, (7) goin' back to work for the dermotologist, (8) going to start a business with Willow. Whew. If the girl could hold onto one job or one dream for longer than two months, she might yet make something of herself. Notice how the 'college' event lasted for only a week or so? Ah, I think you misunderstood.

The Palins are a strong family who have a lot of love for each other. Great! That is as it should be with a family. What I am disputing is not whether or not the Palins love each other (good grief), it is that Sarah's idea of "family values" and much of the rest of the world's ideas do not match.

    1. I, my mother, and my daughter, all got pregnant AFTER we married whereas pregnancy before marriage is the norm in Sarah's world: Sarah's mother, Sarah, Bristol, Track.

    2. I did not think it was okay to have an affair with some athlete while I was seeing someone else - regardless of what race he was. Sarah and Todd eloped on 24 Aug 1988. Sarah & Glen Rice affair, Nov 1987. Sarah and Todd are described as High School Sweethearts.

    3. When I was a teenager it would have never occurred to me to drink way too many wine coolers and have sex with some guy in a tent! I understand that Brisol did not know that she was drinking. Give me a break. Ignorance (and being ridiculous) is not an excuse. It's just sad. I guess you have to feel some pity for a teenage girl who is that poorly informed.

"Good sense" and "values" are such subjective terms. Clearly the Palin idea of "Good sense" and "values" are miles away from my own idea of "Good sense" and "values".

Finally, 'Bristol works hard': No doubt. Just probably a different kind of "works hard" than most people. I also work at two jobs but I cannot take time off whenever I want to hang out with friends in LA, pursue other job opportunities, or travel with my mother all over the country. Yeah, I think my "works hard" is pretty different than Bristol's idea of "works hard".

In my reality Palin family values are laughable.

  119. I don't comment on Track because he doesn't seek spotlight which is probably why Sarah keeps thingss simple when mentioning him.

Bristol got pregnant because her friends were voluntarily having babiesand getting married (c/o 2008 set a record) and she felt left out. Also, there was probably jealousy over Trig, the newest addition. how many mad teens do you know who resented their mother having another baby? I can name a few. This girl adores babies according to Levi and everyone. In TV news, she was filming 2 weeks ago. It'd be good to have something that counters MTV and its ridiculous programming. Bristol really does seem to be the antithesis of Amber and the other teen mom bozos.

Willow is ecstatic about graduating early probably because HS sucks, esp in Alaska. Not an uncommon route to take. I don't demean anyone's chosen career because that's demeaning a person for what they enjoy. I don't demean any of you for writing hateful comments because that is apparently what you enjoy.

Piper is just a spunky kid, cute and feisty, coming to an age where mistakes begin to happen. Give her slack.

Trig is precious and I'm sure a joy, if not feisty as well. End of story. And I'd say 4 is a typical age for glasses, no? I was 6, my friends were 6 and 7.

Actually, after all the work you did to figure out Willow's age and graduation, she could be a senior (assuming she has somehow managed to keep up). I just counted up on my fingers and toes, and I graduated from high school five months before I turned 18(a long time ago). However, I don't know what the rules are for when kids can start school in Alaska.

    11:34 AM

    ---------------

If Willow was born in July 1994 she would have been 6 and in first grade in Sept. of 2000 when school
began. (School used to begin the Tuesday following Labor Day until 3 years ago when school opening was moved to the third week in August. The change was a big deal in the Valley because kids used to be able to attend the entire Alaska State Fair which runs the last two weeks of August and ends on Labor Day Monday. When the beginning the school session was pulled back into August there was much outrage regarding kids attending and participating in the Fair with groups such as FFA and 4-H.)

Anyway, Willow would have started school in Sept of 2000 which means that she should have been a Senior and graduating this year, 2012. It does not look like she's graduating "early" but on schedule unless she "lost" a year somewhere or was held back.

Hell, if she's just going to "hair school" she has no need of a diploma in the first place, although I always hope that my colorist has at least a basic knowledge of chemistry ;-)

This is for anyone who doubts Bristol was pregnant on Dancing With The Wannabes. Bear with me here!

Ok so first off this is being done on an iPhone. I know it will also work on an iPad and and iPod touch but I'm not sure about "regular" computers.

    What you need:
Go to Gryphen's post from the other week about Sarah stealing Santorum's "special needs" thunder.

Download/save the photo of Sarah, Willow, Trig, and Bristol. (commonly referred to as "the regan ranch photo")

Next, go to the app store and download the FREE app "adobe photoshop express". (or "PS Express" as it shows up on the iPhone screen)

Open the regan ranch picture in PS Express and select the little half lit sun, then choose the very top option, "EXPOSURE".

Slide your finger all the way to the RIGHT so the number goes as high as it can- to 64.

This is the important part. After you hit "OK", repeat the exposure to 64 THREE MORE TIMES.

So all together you will slide the exposure all the way over to 64.....FOUR TIMES.

And when you hit "OK" the 4th time, you will be stunned at how obvious Bristol's condition is.

    Trolls are trolling, yo.

The FACTS are not subject to spin:

Sally Heath got pregnant before she was married.

Sarah got pregnant before she got married.

Bristol got pregnant and didn't bother with marriage, so gave birth to an illegitimate child (at least one, maybe three, who can keep up?)

Track and his girlfriend became pregnant before getting married.

Three generations of poor family planning, poor family values by traditional conservative standards.

And then there's the underage drug and alcohol abuse, the vandalism of the bus and house, Todd's sisters drug use and burglary, Todd's pimping, and widely reported affairs by Sarah.

Add to that no one ever goes to church, and wearing big bling is not a substitute - nor is writing a letter signed by God.

And let's not forget the on-the-record foul mouthed homophobia, rude behavior to that poor teacher, nasty "Middle finger" comments on DWTS, and every kind of poor example by Sarah in terms of language, dress, and behavior.

No spin can make these facts otherwise.

These are the trashiest of the valley trash, with a little bit of money and access to a microphone.

So, yeah, the trolls are pushing back, but who cares?

Can't spin it, can't hide it, can't make it anything other than a trashy family so dim and uneducated that they can't grasp how truly awful they look to the rest of us.

Why can't Sarah be specific? Why not say that Track is married (or with) to a lovely young woman and has a new baby and is serving in the Reserves?
Why not say that Willow is going to cosmetology school and wants to be a hairdresser?
It's Sarah who demeans Willow by calling it "hair school" and Track by not even referring to him by name.
Furthermore, she demeans education by allowing her children to "home school", which in their case means sitting in front of a computer. EDUCATION is so much more than that!
What about interacting with your peers and getting insights and inspiration from teachers? What about extracuricular activities like dances, sports, band, drama, journalism and science fairs?

Sarah didn't want to answer the question directly because she knows some question her mothering skills having a pregnant young teenage daughter in the first place. The pregnant daughter thing isn't the big deal either. It's the marketing of that pregnant teen daughter that happened immediately after the world found out. Sarah marketed her daughter so they could rake in as much money as possible.

Sarah's response to Tom Sullivan is her usual manipulative way to ignore the meaning of any question. Her refusal to ever say she was partly responsible for the girl's lack of parental monitoring, her refusal to believe Bristol was undergoing anxiety, emotional upheaval, being thrown onto the national stage, and Sarah's total refusal to admit she chose the VP nomination before the emotional needs of her kids. She tries to turn it into a success story, where Bristol is responsible and having a great life.

Well that great life is not possible for the other 99%. Sarah's answer to this one shows how she just cannot understand how she failed miserably, or won't at least admit it. Then she goes on 'The Five' and giggles, wiggles, acts it up, poses coyly for the cameras, razzes the President, reports all the slivers in other people's eyes, but can't see the BEAM in her own eye.

You tell the dude on the radio that she would have liked to have waited to have a baby after she had an education, then you tell the the other reporter that she is doing another reality show. (that won't get on the air.) You say that it is the antithesis of the "Teen Mom" show. Do you mean a 21 year old rich mother vs. a poor 16 year old one? So what you are saying is that Bristol is still exploiting her child for money.

Who is going to want to watch her pretending to go to a job, give away books, hang with a fake boyfriend (She had to hire Gino again so she wouldn't look like such a HO)and troll IM?

12:37 am. Remember, Sally in MI, how Bristol was also going to do a radio show in Arizona? That was about the same time that she toyed with going to college there. It's almost as hard to keep up with the Palins as it is to keep up with the Kardashians! If they'd all just stay in Alaska and stay off the air waves, we'd all be in a better place. Unfortunately Sarah Palin is so obsessed with President Obama and his family that she just cannot stop and that means that she will continue to garner lots of criticism from those of us who see her hypocrisy.

    Jesus...
Kind of makes one feel a little sorry for her, doesn't it?

Reminds one of that sad, weird kid in high school desperately trying too hard to be cool.

    ...and failing miserably.
    ...and knowing she's failing miserably...

    but she just.
    can't.
    STOP herself.

    It's not even funny anymore...
I think we might be seeing the final meltdown of Sarah Palin.

I think perhaps I've solved the mystery.

Willow must have had to repeat a grade in grade school, which would be why she's the right age to graduate, yet is graduating 'early'.

Maybe she had to do third grade twice.

    1:02 PM

"Maybe she had to do third grade twice."

I believe Piper had to repeat grade school too. Remember during the McCain campaign when Sarah thought she was cute teaching Piper about simple addition using flash cards as big as Piper was?

In the lower 48 they teach that by first grade.

I'm not sure if Piper is on schedule to get her GED early for a repeater like Willow?

You keep saying this. It is one of the stupidest things I have ever seen. You can know a person by what they choose to say, by what they choose to do, by their accomplishments (or lack thereof), by the fruits of their actions, and on and on.

Meeting them in person is not necessary at all. Period. You keep saying this so clearly you are stupid. See? I don't have to meet you personally. I can tell by what you say.

Brooklyn....or should I say Rhode Island?....I'm SO sorry that you don't know the Palins personally. Is there something we can do? Maybe your family can help. They seem nice. Do they know how deranged you are? Do they need to come check on you?

I guess Sarah wants to be proud of her kids like any other parent. Like any parent she embellishes her kids accomplishments. The oldest (I guess she is forbidden by Track to speak his name or mention his wife and baby), is in the military. She can't say the Reserves because that doesn't sound important enough. Willow is graduating after being home schooled because she was kicked out of school, but Sarah embellishes by saying she's graduating early. Bristol got pregnant while still in high school, but she's now working TWO jobs. Of course Sarah forgets to tell us that those 2 jobs are ones where she can take off as much time as she wants to whenever she wants. Trig is mentioned as finally getting glasses, but nothing really personal about him. And Piper...... I'm sure she said something, but I just found myself completely bored with this family.

He certainly over states the percent of married persons, probably ever anywhere.

Of course one reason so many women married was that there were few descent paying jobs for women and many women in many states could not, by law, own property, inherit property or wealth, or purchase property. It was the mid to late 1950's before a working woman in Texas could purchase a car in her own name, or a house, or anything else.
It all belonged to a man, a trustee, brother, son, father, banker, lawyer all of whom had full legal rights to what was nominally her property, investment, income etc.

Just about the only way a women could not live in poverty, even if she worked, was to be married, as it was the only way she could have some small legal standing to control or have legal rights to what she nominally owned and earned.

"You make bad claims that she's a hateful person when all she does is exert an honest opinion, opinions that haven't been wrong by the way." Hey, Bristol, Willow, and/or Sarah - I don't think it's possible to 'exert' an opinion, and opinions can be neither right OR wrong. Please go get a dictionary and look up the meaning of words so you know how to use them. Oh, that's right . . . you don't know what a dictionary is!

And that "atmosphere that allows people to irrational hate others for no good reason. There's no basis." Here again, another example of word salad and a poorly written non-sentence! The structure and wording of your sentence makes it clear how incredibly stupid you are - and clearly, what a sad effect your dropping out of school has had.

Here's a FACT for you, though, every time you open your mouth and do your word salad gobbledy-gook of your ignorant regressive hopes for a world where real people get hurt - that's the basis and the reason, and a good one, for the repulsion and anger most Americans feel about you.

"You don't know them." Again, big fail, in fact, we know too much about you, and it leaves us with a bad aftertaste in our mouths that we can't get rid of no matter how hard we spit you out! We'd all like to NOT know you and the lies you tell.

"You can't refute what I say either, at least rationally and sanely." Yes, yes we can - there's nothing rational OR sane about you, just like there are no Christian family values or morals in your life. We very sanely and rationally refute
everything about you and what you stand for. Just STFU and go away, nobody can stand you. You are a national and international worldwide joke.

    11:09 AM

Most people, especially politicians, who speak frequently in public learn to speak in coherent complete thoughts, if not in complete sentences.

Palin can't express her thoughts coherently, she just blurts out talking points but can't discuss them.

There is something wrong in her head that she cannot concentrate long enough to utter a few sentences on a single subject before going on to the next thought.
That's why its called Word Salad. She just throws up a lot of shredded partial thoughts that land helter skelter wherever.

Where's the whole rump roast? She's been in politics almost 20 years and she doesn't even have a ham sandwich put together yet.

Be sure to tell the person who cuts your hair that you think their job is demeaning, or tell someone who works in an office environment they love that they are settling. That will go over well.
    ==============================
For an intelligent person, this type of job is "settling." In time, the routine, lack of autonomy, lack of challenge begin to bore them. Either they turn off the mind and become automatons the moment they get to work or they seek something else. A very, very few will be the next Sassoon- they are both skilled and creative, pushing the envelope.

Others will be stuck in average land, doing the same boring cuts and dye jobs over and over and over. For a person of below average intelligence, this is all the challenge they can handle. They thrive on routine, because they don't have to think and thinking is hard for them. Add in some laziness, and they are bad at even the routine-I suspect this is where a Palin would fall.
Fortunately, it is only hair that will be harmed.

Will I tell the person who cuts my hair that they have settled - don't have to, they know it if they are in the intelligent category and aren't on the way up.

If they are among the unintelligent second - sorry, I don't patronize that sort, so I wouldn't be talking to them.
