The former vice presidential candidate was nominated Saturday for a Golden Raspberry Award as worst actress for her “performance” in the documentary “The Undefeated,” a film about her political career.
The tongue-in-cheek Razzies, which purport to salute the worst in the world of movies each year, typically are presented the day before the Academy Awards but their schedule was shifted this year - the nominees were released Saturday and the winners (or losers, depending on how you look at it) are to be announced April 1.
I have still refused to sit through the Undefeated, but from what I understand Sarah Palin does the WORST version of Governor Palin that anybody has ever seen.
The funny thing is that Tina Fey won an Emmy for her portrayal of the Grizzled Mama on SNL, and, if early buzz is any indication, Julianne Moore appears to be a lock on at least getting nominated for an Emmy for her portrayal of Palin in the HBO movie "Game Change."
So it seems that, at least in front of the camera, that EVERYBODY else is a more believable Sarah Palin than Sarah Palin is.
By the way my understanding of the problem is that Palin comes off as too ignorant and psychotic to be taken seriously in the role.

ReplyDeleteI believe Sarah Palin exhibits characteristics of psychopathy (arm chair diagnosis from someone who studied antisocial behavior including psychopathy–based on what I’ve seen and heard and read from and about her).
Cleckley, called it The Mask of Sanity (the title of his seminal work). Psychopaths pretend to be sane. The act “as if…” They exhibit behaviors and emotions they believe makes them “normal.”
In other words, the documentary The Undefeated (and, really Sarah Palin's life), actually shows Sarah Palin acting “as if…” As if she was a smart person, as if she was a tough person, as if she was a good candidate, as if she was a good person, as if she was normal, as if she was Christian, as if she was sane.
So, it’s hardly out of line that she’s up for an acting award. Of course, since her acting is very, very bad. The Raspberry is hers for the taking.
Damn, you have to be a serious f*** up when you fail at being yourself. Cheer up, Scarah, at least you can say you're a success as a loser. After all, it's all in how you spin it, right?

Haven't seen, cannot think of seeing "The Undefeated". Already know that Palin is a self -inflated caricature of herself without any awareness of self. She truly is just a rilly dumb small-town hick who never matured and surrounded herself with boot-licking school chums to feed her insecurities. Palin's stint as "governor" was a bad joke. It was beyond her capacity to actually govern as a mature, educated adult. Palin is a Loser chick ~Big Time~ and will plunge even deeper in her own cesspool of stupidity and lost, failed dreams and schemes.
ReplyDeleteFrom everything I've heard about this movie, "The Undefeated", has been negative and probably best described by someone as an "infomercial". Despite SarahPAC claims they didn't pay any of the movie's production costs, I find it hard to believe anyone else would. I hope she does earn a Razzie for this movie, which will just further discredit her as a politician and a pundit.

What a great documentary! I watched it with my girls...and it was fascinating watching this young black man create his own puppets and then get to meet Jim Henson, Frank Oz and Kermit!
This is a wonderful documentary to watch about an actual person that tells the truth about their lives...warts and all!

ReplyDeleteAll of the cover up is obvious. If it was simply to protect Bristol, I could understand that. But I really believe Sarah wanted to protect Sarah. It is actually quite sad.
Another open note to Bristol: Tell the truth and stop letting your mother control you. Others have had self-centered parents (narcissists) and have broken free. Read some books out there. You might not realize it yet, but you were used in this situation and I truly hope one day you will see that and deal with it. It would make anyone very angry and I bet you are a loving mother to your children because of it.....
