Just a dog and his President.

I strongly value humanity in my leaders, and it seems to me that THIS President is brimming with that quality.

Sarah had two dogs, ACES & AGIA, named after her two signature pieces of bi-partisan legislation that 'cemented' her narrative that she was an Energy Expert.

All these years later, after her micro-second as a chief executive, ACES & AGIA are either falling flat on its face or never heard from again. . .where are the dogs also, too?

This thread is not about her. Why do you have to spoil a nice thread about our President by mentioning that bitch.

Actually, it doesn't spoil the thread - it reinforces how wonderful our President is and how lucky we are to have him in office and not her.

As my little granddaughter would say, "Awwwwwwwwww, cuuuuuuuute!!!!"

What wonderful pics - but don't you think that in the first 2 Bo looks a bit like a person in a dog suit? And look at the smile on that pup's face in the third photo. Awwwwwwwwww, indeed.

You can often fool people, especially if you're telling them something they WANT to hear, but you can't fool little kids or animals.

And the POTUS has a way with both!

Sad when you can't even look at a cute picture without finding negative things to say about the man who beat your mother. Get used to it...she is a LOSER. Got it? What a Hater! Do you personally know Bo? I hear he is very happy and owns you.

      Yes, you're absolutely right.

And you should have HEARD the intense negotiations between Bo's attorneys, his agent and the Obama reelection campaign when it came time to sign the contract for him to endorse the President.

      That Bo's one tough negotiator!

Its a shame that the majority of people don't take the time to ever check the whitehouse.gov website, they would surely get a larger picture of the first family and our prez. There is so much information there, so much work goes into it everyday to educate what is exactly going on. Bush wasted weeks and months on vacation and doing nothing, this guy works his ass off every single day...all for us. I love the idea Bo came from Sen Ted, its a reminder from him about the causes he fought for.
BTW...I am hoping you find stuff to post about the new laws about Viagra and exams required for men...hysterical stuff.

You are absolutely right on with that sentiment Gryphen and I concur. It speaks volumes about a person how they treat an animal, a pet and that is one HAPPY dog! There is no question that President Obama has a sweet soul and it shines when he is around living things. Babies, animals, kids, men, women, young and old respond to him. I wouldn't be at all surprised to learn that plants perked up around him too, he's just that magnetic.

I have always judged people on how they treat and feel about animals. These pictures speak volumes as to what kind of man President Obama is.

Between the Obama girls, Bo, and the first couple themselves, there seems to be a warmth and welcoming feeling surrounding the White House that I can't remember ever seeing before.

It doesn't seem like the slightly scary, intimidating place it used to be.

  18. Sorry, but this is about Palin and what she is not. It does speak volumes about how people treat an animal and Sarah's way of treating animals, as we all saw showcased on SPA, is to shoot them.

And she chooses a Momma Grizzly as her avatar. Nothing against grizzly bears, but they can be vicious and mean and sane people avoid them like the plague.

She also insulted the Obamas for featuring Bo in their Christmas card. She has that low an opinion on animals.

  20. I've long been interested in "Bo Obama" and finally looked up the breed on Wiki. Here's the link and it's really quite interesting.
    http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Portuguese_water_dog

By the way, I have two cats, both rescue cats. The first one is a small female tabby, almost 6 years old. I adopted her in the summer of 2008 and her name was "Alice". I added "Obama" to her name and now she's "Alice Obama" or "Alley-O".

The second cat, a male tuxedo, is about 3 years old. I named him "Robin Obama". Anyway, the two cats, who are not related in any way, absolutely adore each other and spend hours curled up together, grooming each other. Maybe it's the "Obama" in their names, but they are so laid-back and loving, that maybe they are a little bit Obama...

I might mention, though, that GWB had a dog too. I assume he may have pet him at times. I think most POTI have had dogs.

But still, 'cause I like the guy, I like the photos!

And we have Barney the Scots Terrier from saving GWB from choking on a pretzel?
That was bizarre. Barney featured in his own videos, too. Bush was gaga over the dog.

Nearly every President has had a dog. Doesn't mean that this diminishes this nice series of shots.
They got Clinton "Buddy" the lab to make him, Clinton, seem more like a regular guy. There was always Nixon's King Timahoe. The GWHB dog Millie wrote her own book.
      Then there's poor Seamus.

I have three dogs, not a Portuguese Water Dog, but my next door neighbors have one who looks just like Bo that I take care of when they go out of town . They are high maintenance dogs that require a lot of grooming and exercise, but they are very smart, highly trainable, and make great family pets.

My point being that Bo is obviously a very well loved, well taken care of dog who has a lot of affection for the President. To be fair GW Bush seemed to be very fond of his dogs , and always took them on vacation to his ranch, and Camp David..and as far as I know never strapped them to the roof of a car.

With lovely pictures like these, how can anybody claim that President Obama is a "secret Muslim"?

Even backsliding Muslims do not allow dogs in their houses. They are 'unclean' and you are not allowed to pray or eat in a house that is unclean. (Watch All-American Muslim to see what I learned.)

Bottom line: There is no such thing as a secret Muslim. It is a faith that is rigidly practiced and hard to "hide". And there is no way Bo would be allowed in the White House, even if Obama needed a dog for photo ops.

  30. Slightly off topic: I LOVE that our President is so real with his family in public. He makes me feel that it is the same way in private.

Here's an interesting article about how President Obama talks about his daughters:

    Seattle Times: Obama's Daughters

    An excerpt:

Obama said at a news conference that he'd called Fluke after Limbaugh made his comments "because I thought about Malia and Sasha, and one of the things I want them to do as they get older is to engage in issues they care about, even ones I may not agree with them on. I want them to be able to speak their mind in a civil and thoughtful way, and I don't want them attacked or called horrible names because they're good citizens."

Invoking his daughters is a way for Obama to bring big issues down to human scale, in a disarming way. It also is a reminder to Americans of the president's photogenic family, a priceless political asset in an election year.

Big difference from $OME people we know, eh?

It is very obvious that Obama and Bo love each other. As someone who is extremely liberal, I have plenty of problems with Obama but the way he treats dogs is not one of them.
