Obama second term as horror movie courtesy of Rick Santorum.

Apparently Santorum has decided that he is the front runner and is now attacking Obama as if the general election were already under way, and he has packed this ad chock full of creepy music, disturbing images, and unsettling comparisons between Obama and Iran's President Mahmoud Ahmadinejad in order to scare the bejesus out of the low information Republican voters.

NONE of which is based on reality of course.

Well I have news for the Frothy One, his chances of getting the nomination are about as good as his chances of being named the dean of a university or winning the majority of the female vote.

And as for an Obama second term as horror movie? Well personally I can imagine of few things more frightening than the idea of Rick Santorum sitting in the Oval Office making policy decisions for this country.

If that idea doesn't keep you up at night, then you my friend have not been paying attention.

If a Canadian politician even thought about making a political ad like that one, he/she would be considered insane.

What kind of voter would fall for such utter nonsense?

Well, the really, really , really dumb ones who have sixteen assault rifles and a year's supply of food stashed with their Beck Goldline gold purchases. Also, anyone who thinks Santorum and Christ have anything at all in common. And anyone who thinks America is electing a Pope this year and not a President of all the people. I think that is about 666 people in all.

This reminds me of the "Letter from 2012 in Obama's America" that was written and sent out from James Dobson's Focus on the Family Action organization. That letter went viral, so maybe it's time to revisit it and see how accurate all the fearmongering was.

If you don't remember the kerfuffle over this, you can read up on it here:

Actually, that commercial had pretty good production values; very effective.

It would be wonderful to sit Mr. Santorum down and SHOW him that commercial in 2014 - after President Obama has been re-elected and things are going quite well, thank you very much you lying bastard.

It was a horror movie all right...due to the main character. And if it's so bad, why are they showing it every day? The GOP will be lucky to get 2 million votes come November...this will be the biggest blowout in history, and all due to the wars the GOP is running on everyone but the rich white guys and the poor whites too dumb to know they are being lied to.

Part of the FoxNews empire are all of the doctors offices that show it in the waiting rooms - it's part of the deal to get the television service. The next time I'm waiting at the internist's office, I plan to ask the receptionist to either change the channel to something innocuous or to turn it off. Just being in the proximity of FoxNews affects my blood pressure (i.e., raises it). I'm curious about what the reaction will be.

The happy amazing numbers person (must be a double agent headcase) they are doing a great job of reminding people of Game Change and Sarah Palin's part in Game Change. She had to have the numbers, remember that double agent headcase? She was terrified she was losing numbers back in Alaska. Just had to have those numbers to soothe her angst, can't let her go catatonic or any kind of break down. Remember how bad she looked when she fell a part? The numbers game is a serious for her, her minders can super-mega control her when they play the numbers right. She goes absolutely nuts over numbers. Anybody that wants her happy better darn sure manipulate the numbers and analyze to please simple Sarah from Alaska. Funny money and funny ratings is what she gets.

The cawing of the birds as they scatter into the sky is a nice touch, isn't it? We saw this last night and shook our heads in amazement. These people are really trying their damndest to incite violence against our President, aren't they? And this is coming from the second runner up of the Republican nomination, people.

The actors are also an unsettling choice. I guess in the rightwing world these are supposed to be characters one should empathize with, but they look creepy as hell to me, like the Undead. More like Wingnutville.

I'm pretty sure this is not his first. I just don't think his body is going to accept a human heart no matter how many times they try. And so if this one doesnt work, maybe next time they'll install a spitting cobra or pit viper heart as I've been recommending from the very beginning. But, hey, either way, good luck dick. head.

When they can't answer basic questions that you learn in grade school...they have to take a civics course and actually pass it to vote. The low information voter watches Fox, and the active normal voter watches most everything else. There are a tremendous amount of normal people not watching tv news...so its easy to explain the numbers. This election cycle is gonna see women come out for Congress and the Senate...that's the big news.

Sarah Palin Attacks and Demeans The Disabled

...Sarah Palin isn’t a defender of the disabled. She is an enabler of the stereotypes that those with disabilities battle against every single day. Palin’s idea of defending the disabled is to place them on a pedestal and tell them everything that they can’t do or be. For the record, this isn’t the first time that Sarah Palin has managed to insult the disabled while trying to attack President Obama for his insensitive Special Olympics joke. (Note to Palin: The president apologized for his remark before it even aired on the Tonight Show).

Here are some statistics for Mrs. Palin to chew on. Nineteen percent of Americans (over 54 million people) have some sort of disability. Forty six percent of individuals with a disability age 21-64 are employed. Thirty one percent of those with a severe disability are employed. One of the biggest problems that people with disabilities face is economic opportunity. Twenty seven percent of those with disabilities live in poverty. Disabled workers earn 40%-50% less than their non-disabled counterparts. Disabled Americans need economic opportunity, not a Mama Grizzly oppressor.

The irony shouldn’t be lost on anyone that Sarah Palin managed to smear 54 million Americans while she appeared on program to complain about the hate speech of the left. Sarah Palin has spent the years since the 2008 election trying to make a buck by exploiting the ugly stereotypes about disability. Just as she has single handedly set the cause of women’s rights back a century, Sarah Palin is doing her best to turn the disabled back into a pitied class.

Babies and small children are defenseless. Disabled people are not. Despite her intellectual limitations, this is a lesson that for the good of her son, we all should hope that Sarah Palin will one day come to understand.

After Louisiana Win 5 of the Top 6 Porn Consuming Red States Have Voted For Rick Santorum

...According to a 2009 study by Benjamin G. Edelman eight of the top ten pornography consuming states are Red States. Of these top eight six have now voted in the Republican 2012 primary, and Rick Santorum has won five of them. Santorum has won in the third (Mississippi), fifth (Oklahoma), sixth (Arkansas), seventh (North Dakota), and eighth (Louisiana). Mitt Romney can take comfort in knowing that he has won the second (Alaska), and he is a lock to win number one (Utah). West Virginia has yet to vote, but one could easily see Mountaineer State supporting Rick Santorum.

Besides the fact, that this demonstrated how self-deluded some red state Republicans really can be, this is also another potential example of voters voting against their own self-interest. What we have here are a group of conservative states that consume a great deal of pornography, yet they ended up supporting the one candidate in the primary who has all but promised to take away their porn.

Wanna hear the lazy ass crap coming out of the mouths defending this POS ad:

My conversation with Rick Santorum spokesman Hogan Gidley about the new Santorum ad in which images of President Obama are interspersed with images of Iranian president Mahmoud Ahmadinejad:

Q: Is the moment when Ahmadenijad and Obama's images are interspersed meant to suggest that they are the same person?

Gidley: "Don't be ridiculous. He's the president of the United States, Ahmadenijad is the president of our sworn enemy. I'm don't know that it was 'interspersing,' I'm confused by that. Obviously I'm not trying to say anything about Obama and Ahamdenijad. So if we're not trying to say anything about that, then I don't understand the issue.

I think everybody knows -- our party and Rick has been very adimant and open and vocal about the fact that Barack Obama has been absolutely leading from behind as relates to Iran. He's the leader that deals with rogue nations, and Rick doesn't feel like that's something he should do. But, you know, the whole ad is based around the fact that, in two more years, this is what the country is going to look like.

Q: What is the country going to look like in two years?

Gidley: That's what the whole ad is saying: If we continue on the track we're continuing down, this country is going to be in a whole lot more trouble than it was in the first four years of his administration.

Q: And there's no suggestion here that Obama is Ahmadinehad?

Gidley: No, no, no, no, no. We'd be a lot more deliberate if that's what we were trying to do. There'd be something a whole lot more -- Rick doesn't parse words, our campaign, we're not sneaky people. We'd tell you what we think, obviously. That's not what we're trying to do.

Q: Was there any point at which you were looking at this ad and thought this might be an issue?

Gidley: Not the specific moment. I thought that the whole ad would definitely raise some questions, I just didn't know which questions you guys would come up with. The bottom line is, the campaign is making a point that Barack Obama is wrong for the country. He's wrong on foreign policy, he's wrong on domestic issues. That's basically what the ad is trying to say, in a horror story fashion.

Q: How does a shot of Ahmadinejad and Obama switching back and forth make the point that Obama is wrong for the country?

Gidley: I don't even know. I need to go and look at this ad, because I don't really remember the part you're talking about. I'll call you back.

Gidley called a few minutes later to say that the man who made the ad would be calling shortly.

+However, there is a back story that was missed regarding how Palin and a number of influential neoconservatives helped create the opportunity for her.+
“star quality” a mix of Joan of Arc and Annie Oakley. Now it is Bristol's time to WOW them. Sarah Palin cannot be defeated again.

The ad did have good production value, it is still bad crap. That is how the propaganda games are played. Bristol is getting all dolled up to be a bigger player, what is “God’s will” for her? Sarah cannot be DEFEATED again. Too many failures and even Fox and all their ratings will drop her. At all cost, Sarah cannot take another big hit.

Thank you, 10:09 PM That is a good read.

At the end of “Game Change,” Palin is shown desperately trying to read her own concession speech on Election Night. But campaign strategist Steve Schmidt’s character forcefully tells her that the concession speech is always delivered by the head of the ticket as a way to convey the orderly and peaceful transition of government in a democracy – an especially important moment given that the U.S. electorate had just chosen its first African-American president.
Palin, who had roused campaign crowds to shouts of violence against Obama with her casual accusations that he so disdained America that he would “pal around with terrorists who targeted their own country,” simply didn’t understand what Schmidt was telling her. She just wanted to put herself at center stage, again.

It bothers me whenever I hear Rick Santorum speak, I keep getting these thoughts that he wants to run for "Pope of America" not President of the United States.

    ReplyDelete
  30. I think in his rational mind he knows he won't win, and so he is trying to make as big a splash as possible in order to spend the rest of his life as a well-paid speaker and author of right-wing christianist drivel.

But way in the back of his festering "brain", there is a glowing nugget of delusion that says, yes, he can win, and be not only the elected leader of the country, but the anointed one as well.

Hence his chosen SS name, "Petrus", Latin for Peter. Catholics see the apostle Peter as the first pope...

He hasn't figured out that the vast majority of non-right wing Catholics in the pew are aware of the vast body of Catholic teaching on social justice. all of which Santorum ignores. It is not just his blatherings on birth control that turn those Catholics against him.
