Official trailer for "The Road We've Traveled."

You can sign up to be among the first to see the entire video by clicking here. (Warning after signing up it will take you to a donation page, however that is not a necessary part of the sign up process.)

My impression is that the production value alone puts to shame just about EVERYTHING produced thus far by the Republicans. Of course the content is far more compelling as well.

Just my opinion.

    Interesting article forwarded to Palin.

"I feel like you guys are
always trying to put me on the spot," she said finally, as the room became silent.

Back Home in Alaska, Palin Finds Cold Comfort
    By Michael Leahy
    Updated: Wednesday, February 18, 2009

JUNEAU, Alaska -- A couple of weeks before the Alaska legislature began this year’s session, a bipartisan
group of state senators on a retreat a few hours from here invited Gov. Sarah Palin to join them.
Accompanied by a retinue of advisers, she took a seat at one end of a conference table and listened passively
as Gary Stevens, the president of the Alaska Senate, a former college history professor and a low-key
Republican with a reputation for congeniality, expressed delight at her presence.
Would the governor, a smiling Stevens asked, like to share some of her plans and proposals for the coming
    legislative session?
Palin looked around the room and paused, according to several senators present. "I feel like you guys are
always trying to put me on the spot," she said finally, as the room became silent.
Gone was the self-assurance that Alaska had come to know in its young Republican governor, well before
her life and career were transformed by Sen. John McCaln’s selection of her as his vice presidential running
mate. "She looked ill at ease, more defensive than we’ve been accustomed to seeing her," said one legislator
who was there and spoke on the condition of anonymity because he said he might need to work with Palin.

She turned out to be a disaster! (I'm from Alaska and stating facts!). Press conferences (by herself) got her in trouble so then she would hold them w/all of her commissioners present and direct questions to them that came from the press. Total idiot. Not in any way, shape or form capable to hold any office - governor, senator, VP, etc.

Horrifying, but truly sad, in a way - as I said before, w/o Todd there to hold her hand (mentally), or one of her children there as her "shield" (mentally/emotionally) or, perhaps an ear piece with some "expert" supplying cues/hints at good answers - kaput, nothing there, paranoia! She probably could have answered but freaked out not having her "props". Of course, I am assuming Todd and the children weren't there and she couldn't think fast enough to prompt one of her advisers to jump in and respond for her. There is definitely some sort of weird dynamic going on there with the dependence on Todd (or Todd-like surrogate) and/or at least one of her children being right there at her side at all times - linked to her ability to articulate, not degenerate into confused word salad, having brain freeze - even over simple questions! Learning disbility, substance abuse, bi-polar, starvation, processing deficits or a combination of these?

  3. FINALLY I have figured out a way to copy and paste on blogger comments. I have to go through google reader which I hate, but I just could not get it to work on my iPhone OR iPad- when I hit "paste", nothing would happen.

So the most interesting email I've seen today- after Trig had been I their home (officially) for a YEAR, Todd still couldn't spell his own son's NAME? What a tool.

    Sorry Gryphen,

Off topic, but I just spent 2 hours reading Shailey's book and I should be packing for my trip. Could you PLEASE fill us in as to why no one is giving her the attention this story deserves? You have to have some insight. Please, pretty please. I can not believe what I have read so far.

    1. I stayed home from work on Monday and read it in one sitting.

I am STUNNED and disgusted. If this was ANY other person even tangentially connected to a major name politico, it would be headline news and Shailey would be on the cover of People magazine.

I have been trying to think about what we can do to make noise. If a thousand people contacted Matt Taibbi, I bet he would at least consider writing about it. Based on the number of visits to IM, I have to think a thousand people is doable.

I'm still thinking about what I personally can do. One thing is sure, I am definitely not going to say nothing, while women continue to be used, abused, manipulated, and lied to by Todd Palin.

And Sarah? KNOWS. Sarah, I always know you were dumb but devious. Now I know why you spent the whole of your governorship containing family secrets, plugging leaks, and getting revenge.

Remember folks- SARAH SAID IT FIRST. She said "prostitution RING". Nobody else until after she went on the radio and said it.

Todd is the devil and Sarah is his chief horned minion. Now Bristol has joined the ranks as well. They are a horrible family. Bristol belongs ALONE, without custody, for flagrantly violating a court order SO many times. And that's in public- imagine what she says about Levi in private? Tripp's young ears have likely heard things a child should never, ever hear.

      Sarah belongs in JAIL.

      Todd belongs UNDER THE JAIL.

Okay Sarah we know what you are going to say...

"Good news! My underlings got a bootleg copy of "The Road We've Traveled" and said it's crap. So you shouldn't watch it. I mean it! DON'T watch it!"

"The Road We've Traveled" movie is a series of scenes where the dialogue, locations and participants are invented or rendered unrecognizable for dramatic effect blah blah blah.

We know Sarah you hate President Obama and you want the the guy who finished last in the Alaska GOP primaries to be president so that you can work in his cabinet like he publicly announced.

Now go to your room and take your meds!

Sarah - when you read this. President Obama does one hell of a lot better in his video than you have done w/your movie. You've been outclassed by him in every direction! He's classy and smart which you are not and he has a great record to stand on! He will be reelected!

I don't know about the rest of you, but I got goosebumps watching that! Can you imagine where we would be if McCain/Palin had won that election. We all came together then, we have to do it in November. Those 4 clowns spending millions to defeat him need to be fact-checked too. Our country need us now! Those idiots in Congress need to be thrown out too! You know who I mean! Not enough room here to name them all, but most of them have R behind their name.

That picture of him standing in silhouette in front of that window brought tears to my eyes. Can you imagine the weight on his shoulders at that moment? How lucky we are to have him leading us.

Just like everything he does, President Obama is calling on the best of the best and they are showing up! LANDSLIDE here we come!

    All about his campaign headquarters:

With a “chief scientist” specializing in consumer behavior, an “analytics department” monitoring voter trends, and a squad of dozens huddled at computer screens editing video or writing code, the sprawling office complex inside One Prudential Plaza looks like a corporate research and development lab — Ping-Pong table and all.

But it is home to the largely secret engine of President Obama’s re-election campaign, where scores of political strategists, data analysts, corporate marketers and Web producers are sifting through information gleaned from Facebook, voter logs and hundreds of thousands of telephone or in-person conversations to reassemble and re-energize the scattered coalition of supporters who swept Mr. Obama into the White House four years ago.

He’s gotten more done in three years than any president in decades. Too bad the American public still thinks he hasn’t accomplished anything.

The Incomplete Greatness of Barack Obama

...The answer is that Obama has accomplished “a great deal.”

Measured in sheer legislative tonnage, what Obama got done in his first two years is stunning. Health care reform. The takeover and turnaround of the auto industry. The biggest economic stimulus in history. Sweeping new regulations of Wall Street. A tough new set of consumer protections on the credit card industry. A vast expansion of national service. Net neutrality. The greatest increase in wilderness protection in fifteen years. A revolutionary reform to student aid. Signing the New START treaty with Russia. The ending of “don’t ask, don’t tell.”

Even over the past year, when he was bogged down in budget fights with the Tea Party-controlled GOP House, Obama still managed to squeeze out a few domestic policy victories, including a $1.2 trillion deficit reduction deal and the most sweeping overhaul of food safety laws in more than seventy years. More impressively, on the foreign policy front he ended the war in Iraq, began the drawdown in Afghanistan, helped to oust Gaddafi in Libya and usher out Mubarak in Egypt, orchestrated new military and commercial alliances as a hedge against China, and tightened sanctions against Iran over its nukes.

Oh, and he shifted counterterrorism strategies to target Osama bin Laden and then ordered the risky raid that killed him.

That Obama has done all this while also steering the country out of what might have been a second Great Depression would seem to have made him already, just three years into his first term, a serious candidate for greatness. (See Obama’s Top 50 Accomplishments.)

And yet a solid majority of Americans nevertheless thinks the president has not accomplished much. Why?

It's very well done, and it's about time!

I don't like this at all. This video should be for people to get informed. Not to make money, I think the President has enough support and people that are sending donations to his campaign.

Anonymous at 10:44, you do not have to donate to be able to see this unless you want to. I do not have any extra money right now, so I cannot donate, but I would if I could. However, there is a message after you enter your email and zip code on the donation page that says you will be notified when the video is available. And Gryphen pointed out that you would be taken to a donation page and that donations were not required.
