I have to say that I am SO looking forward to watching Mitt Romney, the man whose face turns purple whenever he is called on the carpet, deal with THIS guy in a debate.
It is going to be a bloodbath.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

It should be a bloodbath, but it depends on whether we get moderators who hold Romney accountable or let him lie. I was not impressed with the kid glove treatment of Palin in 2008, which continued with Perry, Newt, Cain, and Romney this time. We need the only real journalist left , Rachel, to moderate.
ReplyDeleteIt was disgusting how Gwen Ifel let Palin make a circus out of the 2008 debate.
DeleteActually it was not a debate at all, it was, Sarah Palin repeating her memorized talking points, and making a mockery out of something that is supposed to be a serious event.
I felt bad for Biden that he had to be subjected to that mess.
I don't know how letting her slide through that debate was a GOOD thing for America.
DeleteBut considering she's a slippery fucking bitch,
They seemed more concerned with focusing on Biden,
Letting America see why they could love him.
If he dismantled Palin (as appropriate as it would be),
You would suffer from people seeing Big Pompous Politician Biden, talking DOWN to a mom who got into politics via the PTA.
It was a powder keg I guess they were smart to avoid...
But it was SUCH a failed opportunity to showcase Palins total ineptness.
Some people still think that actress robot won that debate!
Please.
And I'll just bet that man can roller skate also too.
ReplyDeleteYou know what's funny?
DeletePeople idolize rock stars because they have an IT factor, and can usually sing.
People forgive EVERYTHING ELSE about that person.
But President Obama,
Who has shown that he is:
Intelligent
Caring
Empathetic
Strong
Formidable
A great singer!
A great basketball player!
A great comedian!
A great orator!
A great dad!
An engaged husband!
And an AMAZING COMMANDER IN CHIEF!
And yes, I bet he CAN roller skate!
Yet there are Americans who can say, Eh? What ELSE CAN HE DO?
Yet if Gingrinch could get out of a chair without assistance,
He would probably have won the GOP nom with that single feat!
Whereas Mitt Romney would enjoy firing those (lighting) people.
ReplyDeleteYou win the interwebs!
DeleteMidnight skate!
ReplyDeleteRomney is so thin-skinned and so shallow, he will not be able to handle a debate without turning red and going arrogant.
ReplyDeleteThe contrast between this remarkable man and the Palins of the GOP is unbelieveable--take a look at this open letter to Sarah Palin in the Atlantic:

He's awesome in sunglasses!

"An Open Letter to Sarah Palin: Why Do You Mistreat Your Donors?"

The question is, why does she have donors, why is people sending her money? She is not a politician, nor is she running for office.
DeleteSh really has a 'grifter scheme' going.
I hope this signals to all you non donors ~
DeleteDo people have more faith in Sarah Palin,
Than YOU have in President Obama?
OBAMA 2012
Donate what you can!!!
OT: Something else for the positive file:
ReplyDeleteYoung Afghan girl holds hands with female US Soldier - the girl was awed because she had never seen a woman doing what would be considered a man's job before:

That is a powerfully beautiful picture. The child will always remember this, but she may also pay for it in this backward male-dominated world in which she lives. So it has bittersweet feelings surrounding it for me.
Delete"We could put folks back to work right now rebuilding America....."
ReplyDeleteMaybe we could start with a dependable electrician or two? :)
My thought exactly!
DeleteSo nice that he found the humor in the situation instead of becoming frustrated or angry. He is the epitome of COOL!
Remember, remember, the sixth of November. Democratic Landslide!!!

But that lesson seems to have escaped Hannity. And despite the derision it earns him from the Lamestream Media, it's probably been mostly beneficial for his show. The reason he's able to book so many GOP luminaries is that they know that they have a safe space, a child-proofed room where they'll be able to talk at length without interruption, state falsehoods without challenge, and reach the Republican base completely unfiltered.
Romney and Hannity talk about how important it is for politicians to use teleprompters while they attack Obama for using a teleprompter. "It does make some sense," Romney says. "It keeps you from saying something you don't mean, you get the message out."
"Yeah, of course it does," Hannity concurs. "It's smart. You don't want to make a mistake. I'll tell you, they're out to eviscerate anybody who makes a mistake."
Contrast that with just one of the innumerable (202 at least, according to Nexis), prompter potshots Hannity has taken at Obama: "I think he's got a teleprompter on each side of the bed when he goes to sleep every night. I think most Americans have figured out that you take away that teleprompter, he's in trouble. as evidenced by earlier today. Let's roll this tape."
Does this scumbag even hang with women?
DeleteOr is he a closet case, a homophobic who would like nothing better than to meet Marcus Bachmann in a dark alley,
With lube...
LOL! Was that some kind of Morse code?
ReplyDeleteHe looks so fine in his shades. Maybe when his time is freed up in 2016, he can be my body guard? One can dream, hehe.
ReplyDeleteHe's a natural. Nothing phases him, quick on his feet, handsome and eloquent.
ReplyDeleteRomney must be so proud to have been chosen to lose to President Obama,
Ain't no stopping us now, Landslide 2012!
I love this man. He is so funny, so ready to find humor in things. That's called emotional intelligence, and he has it!
ReplyDeleteHe realizes he cannot control everything and he doesn't lose it when the unexpected happens.
He acts like he's a human being just like us, and we are right there with him.
You're right, Gryphen, this guy compared to the goofy Mitt Romney?
No contest.
