Apparently an endorsement from God is almost as career ending as one from Sarah Palin.

If image does not enlarge please click here.
Hey you know what I just noticed?

I think Palin also endorsed all of these candidates at one time or another.

    i'm agnostic, but i don't think if there is a God that he/she takes sides. The arrogance of these people thinking that it is their personal God that doesn't give a crap about the other side is the height of delusion.

    Off topic, but I'm so hopping mad right now about the latest Republican "outrage" over what a Democratic strategist said about Ann Romney. And I refuse to register on Huffpo to comment on the article.

    What happened is, this Democratic strategist was responding to Mitt Romney's use of his wife as a woman who cares about economic issues. The Democrat rightly said, "Ann Romney has never worked a day in her life." The point being, Mitt Romney using his wife as an example of an ordinary woman concerned over the economy was ludicrous.

    Well, then Ann Romney tweeted, "I made a choice to stay at home and raise five sons." So now the Republicans are saying Democrats are against women doing this.

    Guess what? A lot more women in this country with kids don't have the "choice" to stay home and raise their kids instead of holding down a job. THEY HAVE TO DO BOTH.

    It also really irritates me that Obama's campaign put out a statement that the Democratic strategist's astute observation was "offensive."

    No it wasn't. It was the truth!

      I hear you and I understand your frustration, but please keep in mind:

      President Obamas campaign is. A. Machine.

      It does NOT work as well when outsiders try and tinker with it.

      Here, you have a rogue writer (I went to write rogue writer and my phone wrote ROGUE QUITTER! It knows sarah!)

      Who wrote something true, yes, but as you saw in Annies immediate response, it appears that she was a stay ~ at ~ home mom of five.

      Now, I couldn't care less about how many nannies and maids she had to HELP her RAISE these boys, because we will never GET to know and speculation muddies up the issue.

      So, again, you have little Annie at home, raising her boys...and this rogue writer says Annie has never done a day of work in her life.

      Now, WE know the writer was speaking of the stresses of finding a job, remaining employed, unequal pay for equal work...

      But what the GOP will JUMP All Over, is the fact that it APPEARS the writer is denigrating SAHMs AND an opponent.s spouse,

      Which are two HUGE NO.NO S in Obamas camp.

      I think the strategist's choice of words was unfortunate, in that it gives the regressives a way out.

      If she had used something along the line of "Ann Romney was never gainfully employed", to begin with, it would have been much more difficult to make something of it.

      As it is, it happened, and now it will be in the news for the rest of the contest.

      That is the real problem with this dust-up.

      You are so right. Whoever said this was way off base. And add in Ann Romney's MS, and he really looks like a heartless fool.
      Pkus, remember, it is just fine for the GOP to make up all kinds of hateful lies, but when you're on the left, you have to be polite, politically correct, and truthful at all times, or the Fox machine will make up even more hate about the left than they do on a daily basis. What he should have said was that she never held a paying job, which may or may not be true anyway (I'm guessing even Ann did some babysitting or was a clerk before Mitt.) So be careful who you attack and how.

      @7:05, you almost have me convinced, but then...that nagging feeling that by characterizing Rosen's observation as "offensive," the Obama campaign is playing once again into the old Republican talking point that Democratic women are unfeeling and unmaternal.

      Why even address it at all? Rosen isn't associated with their campaign.

      What we need now is for another prominent progressive to tweet: "Applaud Ann Romney for her choice. One that fewer women will have if her husband is elected."

      @8:24~ perfect idea for a tweet!

      Agreed, I don't love that they used the word offensive, but they are acknowledging that THEY (i.e. President Obama and co.)

      Would never, ever want to OFFEND SAHM s, and the remarkable job they do.

      If you really question why they felt the need to reject this before it got pinned on them (President Obama and co.) ,

      Just look at how Sarah Palin linked President Obama with a single comment Bil l Maher made about her.

      What?!

      It's ludicrous,

      It's ABSURD!

      It became a GOP. FOX talking point...

      Still.

      We are not talking about people who are looking for the truth,

      They are looking for reasons to justify their hate of President Obama.

      ~~~~~~
      And 7:56?
      Fuck. You. Moron.
    Well actually, Self-appointed Spokespersons for God: 0 for 4.
    God Himself could not be reached for comment because unlike the four former candidates, He was busy elsewhere trying to remind people to focus their passionate efforts on alleviating the problems of this world that really matter to Him.
    His actual long-time spokesman noted, “Frankly God just doesn't care to get involved in all this brouhaha about whether increasing marginal tax rates on the wealthy, continued funding for Social Security and Medicare, and invoking the commerce clause vis-à-vis the individual mandate are tyrannical encroachments on American liberty. You remember that He did, after all, say some time ago that ‘the love of money was the root of all evil,’ and he actually means what he says. No kidding. For real.” The spokesman further quoted God as saying, “I would ask my poor misguided children, Michelle, Herman, Rick, Newt, Ricky and Willard how, when people are dying for lack of health care and going to bed hungry each and every day, how can you all be so willing to let these things happen in a land that I have blessed with such great plenty?”
    I think you might make it 0-5 for poor God, since he told Sarah Palin last October to stay home with her family and such.
    Since then, she's been making appearances, raising money for her PAC (and not giving it to anyone else except the Iowa Republican Party), and, generally, not staying home to care for her family.
    If I were a bettor, I'd put my money on the candidate(s) who don't brag about Divine selection in their race for worldly gain. It takes monumental hubris to imagine that God involves himself in electoral politics.
      God told them to run,
      So their bigotry, hatred and LIES
      Could be brought into the light,
      And REAL Christians
      Stand up and DEMAND
      that THESE people do not represent
      Jesus Christ
      And they do not represent
      Me.
    Maybe God did call them to run--but it was part of His re-elect Obama efforts.
  6. But see a real Christian - one who knows that none of these clowns reflect Christ in any way - could say that God's will has been done since they did not win.
    Sarah doesn't have the cajones to endorse a POTUS candidate. She's scared to death to be nailed down so she sends her stupid GED thug hooker-making husband in to do her dirty work.
    You forget that God told Sarah Palin that the RIGHT person would win 2008;
    perhaps the only TRUTH that has ever stumbled out of Palin.s ugly mouth!
    Let's not forget she endorsed Jeremy Lin who blew out his knee a couple of weeks later and Tbone who she endorsed and he got traded to the Jets where he's slated for wildcat duty and special teams trick play work. Keep those endorsements coming Sara
    They are all lying. God did not tell them to run.
    If God had told them to run, they would have won.
    Palin thinks she IS God. Perhaps then the statistic should read "Gods: 0 for 8" (a little pagan aggravation for the die-hard Christians out there).
    Well, to be fair, God had nothing whatsoever to do with these people. It's more like: "People who claim they talk to God turn out to be unelectable flakes."
    God told them to run, she never promised them that they would win. And if God selects our presidents for us, than its obvious that she already picked President Obama to lead our nation.
  16. Oh, I agree with a whole bunch of people here. God had a purpose for them all right. He told them to run to be sure we woke up and elected the right man for the job.
  17. So if $arah Palin endorses a candidate, Dog says "No." That makes pretty clear about Rev Muthee et al's assertion "Sarah Palin is ordained by God" as the Dominionist leader.
    Also, too, these candidates all said Dog told them to be President. There are meds for that.
    We never actually heard from Dog at all.
    From a purely psychological perspective, it's interesting how these wannabe candidates mistake their own ego desires for the voice of God. Kind of lets you know which God they actually worship....
