Once again President Obama takes the fight to the Republicans. This time over their "marvelous" budget proposal.

Obama is currently in the "kicking ass, and taking names" portion of his campaign, and I definitely see a rocky couple of months coming up for the GOP and their presidential candidate.

Let's see how they feel about this President now that he is done wasting his time trying to compromise with these assholes.

    This is not a man that the Failed Mayor,and Failed 1/2 Term Quitter Governor wants to take on in a Debate. In a battle of knowledge, Sarah Palin would be UNARMED.

    "...now that he is done wasting his time trying to compromise with these assholes."

    Ya think?

    Gee, maybe if he'd acted like a, you know, DEMOCRAT, like he was ELECTED to be, instead of wasting THE FIRST THREE YEARS of his presidency on bending over for Repugs and trashing his own base, Repugs wouldn't be in the majority in the house now.

    So this budget can be laid as much at Obama's door as it can at the Repugs' door.

      Examples, please, to back up your opinion. Not trying to be snarky, but President Obama did a lot of things in his first two years that would never have happened - particularly health care reform - if he were "wasting" his time.

      As part of his base, I do not think he trashed us. I would love to see you counterpoint all his accomplishments. Just check earlier Gryphen posts to see them. He's done a great job laying them out.

      I hear this complaint and I can only imagine you are deluded. This president inherited a calamity that would beguile even the most honed political insider. But, he has remained a steady captain at the helm of a ship on which half the crew is determined is to commit suicide, taking everyone with them.

      I agree - President Obama has done more in his first three years than many other presidents in their entire two terms.
      What bugs me, though, is that he could have done so much more if he hadn't tried to bend over backwards to accommodate those thugs!

      Here are couple of comments that made me laugh...

      I'd rather slowly roast my own nuts with a cigarette lighter than watch five seconds of that hateful useless bitch.

      and this one...

      Ah, thank you NBC! Over these many years I have wondered what Sarah Palin would have done to me if I had called her fat while she was pregnant. I feel so relieved now. Next time please ask her what she would do to me if I said she was full of shit. I'm eagerly waiting for that answer now.

      This has been a fun day!

    I saw this live. So proud of this man. So glad he's in campaign mode now.

    Ryan's response was so vague and whimpy. No facts, to figures, just a Palinesque whine.

    President Obama:

    Born in Hawaii to a mixed race family;
    Raised by a single parent;
    Saw and lived in a foreign culture for a few years;
    Returned to Hawaii while his mother studied and completed a course in anthropology;
    Studied at 2 Universities.
    Majored in constitutional law;
    Was the top of his class on graduation;
    Turned down million dollar job offers to work with the poor disposed and disenfranchised
    Became a constitutional Professor;
    State senator for 12 years!
    Senator,
    Has just paid off his first house;
    Has a net worth of 5.6 million dollars;
    Is the first president to pay for renovating the living quarters in the White House out of his own pocket and returned the amount allotted for this to every president, back to the treasury
    Tries to govern from the middle, much to the chagrin of the left base;
    Adopted Republican ideas when he saw value in them only to have the Republicans obstruct even their own ideas
    Gone from poverty to President

    See $arah??? THAT is what you have never done, and never will. You are forever doomed to whiner status, and you are more than RUINED IN ALASKA. YOU ARE RUINED FOREVER in all 50 states. So suck on that.

    Full disclosure: The gist of this post was taken from GomezAdams on Huffpost. IT was so good, I had to lift it for our edification. (Trolls, you can look up that word)

    To the right wing "christian" repugs who keep trying to get inside my vagina.
    your "God" gave me the ability to give birth.
    I have the birth canal. God did not seem to trust men with this responsibility so for your love of God, trust in HIM. He trusts me, not you.

    BTW-Your God created all yes? Blacks and whites and in between, gays, straights and confused, men and women and people of all faiths and cultures. He also made orgasms.......and He gave me the utmost pleasure of having MULTIPLE orgasms. He did not give that to men. Perhaps it is just a little reward for being in charge of REPRODUCTION and for having to deal with DICKS.

      Ole Mitty better be very careful about pulling the religious card. His religion is full of flip flops and inconsistencies the likes of which no other contains.
      He is also beholden to his prophet and president and cannot do anything against his religious leaders' demands. If he does he loses his planet, his celestial wives and family, and his place next to god. He will absolutely allow his religious leaders full control over his presidency and do not for one second believe other wise. He has been groomed since birth for the very position in which he finds himself and his whole religion feels he is the chosen one. The one in the White Horse prophecy. Google it and be afraid. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/White_Horse_Prophecy

    Jon Stewart summed it up: “I think it means you’re cynically exploiting a manufactured notion of yourself as a crusader against a monolithic exclusionary activist liberal media, whilst actually enjoying a mutually beneficial, symbiotic relationship with them — only to the detriment to the rest of the country.”

      I don't think it has ANYTHING to do with having a spine. President Obama believes that he is president of the ENTIRE United States. He left behind any partisan approach when he won the election and has worked hard to bring people together in Washington, but the Rethugs would have none of it and they have been acting out like spoiled little toddlers ever since.

      For you to refer to him in the way you are is disrespectful AND inaccurate and says more about YOU than it does our illustrious president.

    I know we are supposed to be "patient" with the insane ideas of the rightwing extremists.

    President Obama is able to calmly deal with those who show such ridiculous tendencies.

    But I just skimmed a news article that had something to do with how Republicans in Tennessee are pushing hard to make the teaching of real science such as evolution, a CRIME in that state.

    At WHAT POINT are my educated friends who call themselves "conservatives" going to realize they are holding onto a fireball careening right into HELL???

    It really is TIME, now, to stand up and demand that the Republican Party stop the march toward total and complete irrelevance!

    I find it perfectly amazing that anyone besides multi-millionaires would vote Republican:
    EVERYBODY knows that we've got a huge debt - argue about whose fault it is if you must - but we've GOT this huge debt and it must be paid.

    Paul Ryan's (the Republicans') budget cuts the tax rate on the wealthiest people! It's right there in the budget - anybody can read it for themselves. Hell, they brag about it.

    Listen closely, non-millionaires:
    that means YOU have to pay!
