"You're the man." Air Force Academy football team visits the White House.

Sure it has its downsides, but you know sometimes being the President just rocks!

My Mom got to see him give a speech in person at the auditorium in the Holocaust Museum. He was there with Elie Wiesel. Very exciting. She said that Obama was leaner than he looked on tv. She got there early and sat in the 6th row, right behind all the vips and political people. Holocaust survivors sat in the very front row and she said that he shook hands and spoke with all of the survivors. Pretty cool. She is the first person in our family to see a President live and in person like that.
I saw Clinton walking past with his scary secret service detail one morning when I was walking across the National Mall to work.

A number of people I know have been to events and speeches and seen and even met him in person. All of them, without exception, whether Republican or Democrat, have said how momentarily awestruck they felt, looking into the kind, intelligent eyes, witnessing that megawatt smile up close, shaking a firm hand, knowing they had met someone that stands above the crowd. They said that they felt instantly relaxed, accepted, and that his full attention was on them in that moment in time.

I NEVER wanted to have a beer with any of them...but damn, I'd sure love to sit down with a brewsky and Barack. I just love that guy. He's a beam of beautiful light in the face of such dark, dark energies that are being directed at him. He just maintains his grace.

Totally agree. I've been in the company of some pretty cool people, but the only one that is in the company of President Obama is Sidney Poitier - and he is even more gorgeous in person and his voice is even more mesmerizing than one can believe. He was wonderful - but I still want to meet my President!

I concur. I so wish people could see him without the black or democratic filter. He is truly a star, brilliant and unruffled by the swirl of idiocy leveled at him. I also think Michelle and the girls set the standard for what the First Family should be.

Yes, yes they do. They are so respectful of the White House. I love how they call it the 'People's House'. That's not something I've heard before.

Before President Obama was elected, I had never been interested in the White House and now I visit the site DAILY to see what they are up to, check out the Flickr account to see if any new pics are posted, and check into YouTube for the latest videos.

It's where more people should go, rather than listening to the pundits and loudmouthed media. I like being able to look and listen and form my own opinion of what I see and hear, rather than listening to someone elses.

And I love the Obama Diary. It's so positive and Chips always has the latest, hottest news on the First Family, along with some pretty funny commenters.

We MUST get him re-elected. We MUST be the pushback on all the negative stuff being directed at him. It's a monumental task that lies ahead of us who love our president and want and NEED him to have four more years to make things right.

It's going to get ugly, maybe the ugliest race in political history. My stomach turns just to see the beginnings of it, and it's only going to get worse. Which is why we must rally EVERYONE we can to get the vote out, NOT stay home, make calls, work hard to KEEP HIM and his AWESOME FAMILY in the 'People's House'.

    This is great news!

A new poll of New Hampshire shows President Obama with a nine point lead in the state, as his overall approval rating and rating on the economy have recovered. Obama gets 51 percent of likely voters in the poll, conducted by the University of New Hampshire (UNH) for Manchester, NH television station WMUR, while like GOP nominee and former Romney sees 42 percent support.

Obama’s approval rating is at a positive 50 - 47 split after spending most of 2011 underwater in UNH’s polling, and his approval on the economy stands at 47 percent against 50 percent disapproval, again better than it was in 2011. Romney’s personal favorability is at 36 percent among likely voters in the state, against 51 percent unfavorable.

No question in my mind who is the most trusted and the ONLY one I would trust, so good on Americans for seeing the stark differences.

By a 50% to 42% margin, more Americans have confidence in Obama than in Romney on economy

Fifty percent of Americans say they have a great deal or a fair amount of confidence in President Obama to do or to recommend the right thing for the economy, more than say the same about Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney (42%).

Ouch . . . POTUS is certainly a fine specimen of man and sure looks good in that suit, against a sea of Air Force uniforms.

This is what we are up against. President Obama is doing an amazing job, but it is hard to know this with the media behaving the way they are right now. Not sure why this is going on, nothing fair and balanced about it, and I suspect it's only going to get worse, depending on how much money is dumped into the pockets of the press.

All I ask is to make it fair, but I guess I'm just being naive.

Media Bias Exposed: Romney Gets 3 Times More Positive Coverage than Obama

A new study from Pew’s Project For Excellence In Journalism has uncovered a serious case of media bias, as Mitt Romney is getting three times more positive media coverage than President Obama.

The new Pew study found that after Mitt Romney won the Michigan primary his coverage went from a 37%-35% positive/negative split to an overwhelmingly positive 47%-25%. Before Michigan, the coverage of Romney had been mixed. After his New Hampshire win, the Republican enjoyed positive coverage, 45%-33%, but his loss in South Carolina got him a negative coverage week 28%-40%. Romney hit his low point from February 13-19. His coverage was overwhelmingly negative that week, 51%-23%.

After Michigan, Romney’s positive coverage jumped by 17 points to 45% and negative coverage fell by 5 points to 28%. As the Obama campaign turned their attention to Romney in the first week of April, Romney’s coverage stayed positive but mixed, 35%-33% with 32% neutral.

However, no candidate has received the amount of constant media negativity that President Obama has endured. President Obama has not had a single week in 2012 when positive coverage has outnumbered the negative. Obama’s negative coverage was driven by the media’s willingness to parrot Republican talking points, and the Supreme Court challenge to health care reform.

Forget liberal bias. A new study reveals that the press covered Romney twice as favorably as Obama during the primaries – and declared the GOP race over weeks ago.

During the bruising Republican primaries, there was one candidate whose coverage was more relentlessly negative than the rest. In fact, he did not enjoy a single week where positive treatment by the media outweighed the negative.

    His name is Barack Obama.

That is among the findings of a study by the Project for Excellence in Journalism, a Washington nonprofit that examined 52 key newspaper, television, radio, and Web outlets.

Love our President. However, just remember Mittens probably has "good friends" who OWN football teams, stadiums, sports franchises. So, HE thinks that makes him more prepared to be President!!President Obama comes across as a normal man, unlike the stiff, plastic Mittens.

Don't give up! In Canada, the Wild Rose right wing party got most of the media coverage, spent most of the money and were always covered as the party who would win a resounding majority--kind of Alberta's tea party. The polls predicted they would win right up to election day. Instead, the Progressive Conservatives won a great majority of the seats and stayed in power. Albertans appeared to disapprove of right wing thinking and homophobic racist slurs from some candidates and defences from the Wild Rose leader that were weak and referred to conscience rather than denouncing them. It sure renewed my faith the the common sense of the normal average voter.

He IS the man. The man who communicates with ease, grace, and humility.

So proud of The First Family. They "Get" the struggles real people are going through. They "Get" the issues we care about, especially social issues.
