Misogynist minister says on Sean Hannity's show, what Republican males believe but are usually too careful to admit.

Now I usually steer clear of the Sean Hannity show because the banging of my head against the wall disturbs the other people in my house. (Of course I make an exception when "She whose name must not be mentioned" is on because that is part of my job, and primal screams help to release the pressure between my ears.)

So I happened to miss this appearance by one, Reverend Jesse Lee Peterson, who apparently is now the Republican Id made manifest.

Here get a load of what this guy says about how feminists are building a shameless society.

I know, right?

Apparently this guy is a frequent guest on Hannity's show and in fact Hannity is on the board of his organization, something called "BOND: Rebuilding the Family by Rebuilding the Man."

From what I can gather this guy is essentially TERRIFIED of strong women and wants them barefoot, pregnant, and back in the damn kitchen like God intended.

Usually this idiot is able to sit on Hannity's show in the company of like minded neanderthals and nobody says boo about his misogyny, however on a recent program Hannity also invited columnist Kirsten Powers on the panel and was all ready to start the attack on President Obama for taking credit for the death of Osama Bin Laden (How dare he!) when this happened.

Now I cannot say that I am a fan of Ms. Powers, but damn! She did a pretty good job of standing up to this asshole,  (Of course I could not help but notice that she seemed to be much less offended by his attacks toward "liberal" women.)

In my opinion this is EXACTLY what a lot of Republican men, and especially Sean Hannity, secretly believe but are just to aware of the shit storm they will unleash if they say it out loud.

So as a man who ABSOLUTELY recognizes the positive impact women have in our society, whether working in the home or working out of the home, I would like to congratulate Kirsten Powers for bringing the long overdue shit storm to this man on national television.

I would also like for somebody to ask Hannity how he can continue to justify serving on the advisory board of this man's clearly anti-woman organization?

Now who said that the Republicans were waging a War on Women again?

  1. Did anybody else notice that at the beginning of the video this "Reverend" looks down and checks out Kirsten Power's ass?

Pretty sure that is what I saw.

I am sure Hannity is thinking the same thing about giving blacks the right to vote. But he won't say it. Soon they'll have a woman come on the show to say it was a mistake to give blacks the right to vote. Nothing like using some self-serving idiot to do your dirty work for you.

Kirsten should have asked him why he hates women so much. Then she should have thrown five pounds of bacon at his dumb ass, then smacked Hannity for sitting there like a double dumb ass . . . . Only on FAUX--and sometimes I guess, CNN.

  4. I can actually feel the stupid.

That so-called reverend sounds as stupid as the stupid words he speaks.

One would hope that Christians would see right through his nasty bullshit. Jesus Christ would never speak those words. Never.

O/T Governor Sarah Palin and Todd Palin endorsement – for US Senate

Lincoln, NE – Today, Senator Deb Fischer, a Republican candidate for U.S. Senate in Nebraska, announced that she has been endorsed by former Alaska Governor and Vice Presidential Candidate Sarah Palin and her husband Todd Palin.

“I’m incredibly honored to receive the endorsement of Governor Sarah Palin and Todd Palin. I greatly admire their willingness to stand on conservative principle and their resolve in standing up to the political establishment,” said Senator Deb Fischer.

“Our campaign is grassroots powered and focused on conservative policy solutions that will change the course of this nation. I’m a wife, mother, rancher, small business owner, and citizen legislator, not a career politician. To change Washington, we need to send a different type of person there. That’s why I’m running for U.S. Senate.”

At the onset of the campaign, Deb Fischer shared her story, her passion and and beliefs with Governor Palin and requested her support. Below is part of Senator Fischer’s note:

I am writing to you as both a fan of your strong, conservative principles and as a fellow female Republican. I have watched your career with respect as you take on tough issues, all while raising a family and serving your great state. Your career has inspired me and so many other female politicians who believe principles should be above politics.

Yesterday, Governor Palin responded with the following note:

Deb – thank you for your note. We have been watching your race closely. Your efforts remind us of those our family put forth for Sarah’s races here in Alaska. Winning over voters through personal interactions is the way to go. People are tired of outside interests spending millions of dollars in political attack ads. We’re glad to see your grassroots efforts paying off!

We admire your conservative principles and know that you will not go to Washington to amass great wealth or power. You will go to Washington to serve the people of Nebraska, protect our Constitution and work for common sense solutions to help restore America. We are happy to support you and have asked SarahPAC to send a financial contribution to your campaign.

Good luck next Tuesday – the Palins are in your corner.

Why is she including Todd in her endorsement? How weird because who cares what either one of them think.

Wait..it says "those our family put forth is Sarah's races." Then it says "People are tired of outside interests spending millions of dollars in political attack ads."
Now who signed this? We know Sarah didn't write it, but if she signed it, did she actually read it? And if the Palins are so against 'outside forces' why are they participating by prying loose a small contribution from SARAHPAC? The whole thing smells.

Americans society is sick and immersed in hate and religious dogma. That is what is now holding your country back and it's so powerful on the political right that it's going to take some more suffering to put it right.

How did it all happen? How did America slip so far behind other countries which threw off the religion, racism, and superstitious nonsense?

Lack of intelligence in the deep south where the problem lives and breeds or lack of education? Whatever it is it is not going to improve to first world levels overnight!

As for the other A*hole, that was the first time I'd heard him & have no words for the imbecile he was. An Hannity has the nerve to stick up for him & try to put Powers down for "Hijacking" his show. I give her high fives for her comments in this instance. She was furious as she ought to have been. Didn't know he was going to be on the show with her, so she was sandbagged too. The whole thing left a horrible taste all around. We HAVE to win this election and all the ones in the future until these maniacs are driven away to the asylums they belong in.

Oh you are so right! I have been feeling such a sense of relief, though I know she'll rear her matted head one of these days.

She becomes more and more and more irrelevant no matter how she tries to interject herself in the media through her surrogates Bristol/Nancy, c4P and FOX punditry.

No one is talking about her, except in the context of what NOT to do for a VP selection. Even Huffpost, that smears their pages with her utterings has been dead quiet. She just isn't news anymore.

Now she's using Todd...the shadow Alaskan governor. She must be a real mess.
For Todd to come out with this endorsement, tells me Sarah is having a really hard time recovering from that plastic surgery she's had done in time for her little Salt conference, in between that meltdown she had over the slam her president leveled her with last weekend. She went silent immediately after that...curious. She was looking so nasty and disheveled at her latest 'skreech' so maybe that was just a precursor for the total crash.

And, by the way, who the FUCK cares what two-toned penis pimp Todd has to say?

Yes, 11 days of utter bliss, thank you.

Honest to god/dess, what universe do these people live in? Or come from? Maybe there's an interdimensional portal into another universe and these guys have slipped through.....

For months now I had a hard time understanding why we're sitting here talking basic women's rights in the 21st century... and now along comes *Reverend* Peterson talking like it's the 1500s.

Good on Kristen for slamming him. Maybe it will be her wake-up call about the real agenda these guys are running.

I watched the first video and I'm wondering if Sandra Fluke knows that she has been promoted from a university student to a US Senator.
There really are some dumbass preachers in this world and this guy is only one of many.

Our church had a preacher at our revival tell us that the Smurfs were from the devil, they were demons sent by the devil.
The next three nights I stayed in the nursery and after the revival was over I told our preacher if he ever invited the guy to our church again that would be the last time he'd see me in his church.

We later found out the nut was having an affair with a woman from his church and he also gambled and drank. Three things that he preached against all the time.

LOL, Gasman! But, seriously...when I was a teen in the mid 80's, I had a friend whose batshit crazy, fundie mom tried to convince me of the same thing. She was convinced that that rock music was from the devil, too. I remember her making us listen to this tape of this preacher who 'interpreted' the lyrics of the Eagles, Queen, and Led Zepplin as Satanic. Satan is around every corner for these people. What a way to live. :(

I applaud Powers for hijacking hannity's show and taking on reverend peter-sin. That said, I've heard much more articulate debates in bars at 2 a.m. It was just about 45 seconds from the inevitable "I know you are but what am I" getting flung back and forth. I feel the need for my daily southeastern facing middle finger salute in honor of rupert murdick.

Peterson would like to turn the clock back on women's rights. He doesn't seem to understand that the Way-Back Machine wouldn't just erase women's rights, but also those of people of color. He'd be at the back of the bus and denied HIS voting rights.

Powers was absolutely seething with anger! Even though she kept it under control, knowing that her meal ticket could be as risk if she didn't. Many intelligent women who saw it had to be seething with rage too, even though many women on the right wouldn't dare say a ward against the dogma of their husbands and their party. But never mind becasue this is the foot in the door which Hannity can't posssibly acknowledge, at least publicly.

Ms. Powers will pay the price, just as Colmes eventually had to pay the price. Most likely neither Hannity or Powers will pay much of a price until after the election. We shouldn't underestimate the huge political impact this one will have on women.

    BREAKING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"I've always been adamant that gay and lesbian Americans should be treated fairly," Obama told Roberts, in an interview that will air in full on ABC's "Good Morning America" Thursday.

"I have to tell you that over the course of several years as I have talked to friends and family and neighbors when I think about members of my own staff who are in incredibly committed monogamous relationships, same-sex relationships, who are raising kids together, when I think about those soldiers or airmen or marines or sailors who are out there fighting on my behalf and yet feel constrained, even now that Don't Ask Don't Tell is gone, because they are not able to commit themselves in a marriage, at a certain point I’ve just concluded that for me personally it is important for me to go ahead and affirm that I think same sex couples should be able to get married," he said.

  24. Hate hate, hate, is all the Fox News Broadcast is about. I do like the fact that Kirsten Powers was holding the Rev.'s feet to the fire about why he was spreading hate and misinformation about women in the little space she got in to say it,but let me at him!

So sick of being blamed for the world's problems. Didn't buy the Adam and Eve story when I was a little girl and I sure as hell ain't buying it now.
People like him have made me the pissed off liberal woman (femi-nazi) that I am today. I have had many men who don't like me on principle alone because I can think for myself, talk for myself and am solution based instead of playing the blame game.

Listened to the other guy on the panel this morning, Richard Murdoch, who beat out Lugar in the race. Scary stuff.....this year is going to be brutal for all Democratic runners, no matter how progressive or green one is, going have to fight back with them.

The second one was ok, I suppose. She writes for the New York Post, which has a daily full page T and A photo every day - not sure she reads the paper she works for or not.

I mean, his message is ridiculous, but his delivery is just painful. Someone explain, please. I want to believe he is a con artist that found a lucrative niche on the religious right because he's a black man. The alternative is just too sad. Is that raciest of me? I do believe in equal opportunity stupidity. I'd just have so much more respect if he was just grifting.
