Rupert Murdock gets pwned on Twitter.

I believe that someday future historians will looked back on this time in America's history and lay much of the blame for societies ills, and the break down of journalism, and political cooperation on the advent of Fox News, and will identify Rupert Murdoch himself as one of the most evil men in history.

Anybody disagree with that assessment?

(By the way for any of my less than internet savvy visitors "pwned" is internet speak for "owned.")

I think Newt Gingrich will have to own some of the notoriety as well. Newt was one of - if not THE main purveyor of "scorched earth politics".

(Palin, however, will be little more than a footnote)

Rupert finds his part in the disintegration of political journalism and journalism in general as an old carnival barker would describe his life
as a carney. They know they are selling bullshit--but give the suckers what they want 'til they get fed up or realize they've been had. Then try to sell them something else.

Only the carnival barker isn't going to get people killed or imprisoned, skew elections, hack the phones of murdered children or demonize whole sections of populations because of race or religion to further an insane political agenda.

That he had the nerve to think it, much less write it out. . .can't believe the gall this man has.

I have more respect for Larry Flynt than Rupert Murdoch.

And if you are paying for cable service that includes Fox News, YOU are putting money in Murdoch's pocket.

FOX also has non cable local affiliates in every city just like ABC, NBC and CBS. Most sane people are not going to stop watching television because FOX is on the line up. Of course most sane people do not watch FOX News either.

Anyway, Rupert is everywhere. . . . Newspapers, radio, magazines, movies, tabloids. You would have to live in a cave not to brush up against something he owns.

I may be paying for Fox News in my lineup, but it's locked out on my tv's.

If I had my choice I would pay twice as much per channel to choose from an individual channel menu. I'd be rid of half the shit they sell me.

Regulation is needed, but these conglomerates have a tighter strangle hold on the buying public than AT&T ever did.

Murdoch should talk! He started by lowering print standards in the UK. He figured people would buy his trash if there were sexy women all over it, and they did. Then he started FAUX, lowering TV news standards. He is a one-man trash machine.

It is a sign of the times that this man thrived under the radar. Dubya made this country like a petri dish...where the dumb was encouraged, just look at the reality shows popularity and how Fox is still #1. Takes work to learn the facts, and if no one is watching...why would the networks care. I love the way MSNBC keeps showing that Seinfeld clip with George saying "if you believe it, its not a lie"
It kind of sums it up, I keep hoping Occupy Wall Street makes it back into the spotlight again.

He's just trying to keep up the front that he has no idea of what his empire is.

The fact that SO MANY people are heard to quote the exact same wording as comes from the mouths of such propaganda meisters as Gretchen the Bubblehead, Billo the Clown, Hannity the Hun, and others on the Fox channel, is testament to just how pervasive Murdoch's evil empire has become.

The internet is chock full of video compilations of these liars saying one thing, followed by one of them saying the opposite...but the majority of Americans never see those.

The misinformation going on, makes what we read of Orwell's predictions in "1984" look tame.

No argument here. What Sarah is to Politics, Rupert is to "journalism". It saddens me to see the demise of the fourth estate.

  18. It is amazing a man can be as evil as Rupert without having committed genocide.

BTW, on a sadder note; Maurice Sendak has died at age 83 in Danbury, Conn.
