Perhaps the MOST important reason to support this President.

Has anybody really imagined just how much damage a Romney Presidency would cause?

Well I have, and that is why I will keep supporting President Obama with every resource at my disposal until we are safely past the November election.

Not only Congress, but we have to get these RWNJs out of the governor and state positions as well.

Lots of damage can be done at the state level, as we've clearly seen in Wisconsin, Michigan, Arizona, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas......

Romney can do great damage to our country. Besides he is unpatriotic, he has his money in off-shore accounts, and he refuses to show his tax records.
Have we ever had a tax evader as a presidential candidate? No, haven't. We have a job to do, and that is to make sure we get Pres.Obama supporters registered and voter ready. And get them to the polls, or vote by mail, if need be.

We no only have to keep President Obama in the White House, we need to keep the Senate and out those Tea Baggers.

If the Tea Baggers stay, the House, which controls the budget, will prevent any positive changes in jobs numbers.

I hate to say vote the straight Democratic Ticket, but voting for Republicans, Tea Baggers or Libertarians is just asking for economic devastation of the middle class and our way of life, including basics such as healthcare, education, fire and police protection. They want wars and to enrich the already wealthy citizens and corporations.

I agree with Sally in MI, the GOP and their allies in the Libertarian Party and the Tea Baggers will turn us into Greece (or Spain, which is on the verge of going under). Austerity cuts don't work to help the economic. Only the truly ignorant or misled think so.

Yes, we must take back the Congress. A strong Dem turnout will do it.
We have our job cut our for us. Get the Dems to the polls.

Voting straight Dem might have been an unreasonable request years ago when there were a few good, respectable, honest, compassionate candidates on the other side.

These days, however, the GOP has swung so far off the edge of right that all Republican candidates HAVE to be radically conservative or they get drummed out of the party. There ARE no more moderate GOP candidates left, and none of them dare disagree with the most wingnut GOP policies or follow whatever shred of conscience they may have left.

I have many reasons to vote for our President and all Democrats, but one of the most crucial is the Supreme Court.

With the possibility of three justices retiring in the next four years, including the awful Scalia, we need President Obama to be in charge of nominating moderate and progressive Justices. We have to turn the Supreme Court into a moderate panel - not the activist conservative majority we have now.

Please, please, please, every one - pay attention and make sure that Romney isn't the one to pick the Supreme Court. We have to turn things around or we may see more decisions like Citizens United.

We have four moderate to progressive Justices, we just need one more to take control of the Court. Two of the Justices who may retire are in that group - imagine if Romney were to be President - it would be decades before we could see decisions in favor of the middle and lower economic classes.

Vote Obama-Biden! Vote for Democrats! Our very future depends upon it.

A bad president and Congress can do a lot of damage in four or eight years, but radical right wing Supreme Court justices can cause destruction that will last for decades.

Romney has shown just incredibly poor judgement in everything he does that I cringe to think of the justices he would try to appoint. And with a GOP majority in Congress supporting him, he could get the most radical justices through.

    One more thing to consider:

    http://godsownparty.com/blog/2012/06/247-ihop-where-the-menu-is-christian-nationalism-with-syrup-on-the-side/?utm_source=rss&utm_medium=rss&utm_campaign=247-ihop-where-the-menu-is-christian-nationalism-with-syrup-on-the-side

The GOP is being (and has been for some time) infiltrated and controlled by dominionists intent upon seeing their 7 Mountain strategy put into place - essentially turning America into a theocracy.

If you don't believe as they do, you will indeed suffer. There is also the White Horse strategy whispered about in the Mormon theology - Romney has been anointed by some high placed Mormom leaders as the One who set America on its proper course - a course defined by the church. These two strategies are not necessarily compatible, but they are often seen by confused fundamentalists are close enough to make them allies.

I do not know about you, but I do not want to live in a theocracy where a minority of religious zealots set the rules for the rest of us.

If your first reaction is that this could not happen, just stop and think about what Sarah Palin has stirred up already - the Prayer Warriors, the hate, the intolerance. Think about the War on Women - based on narrow and twisted interpretations of Biblical verses. Think about how much hate there is towards the LGBT community and towards anyone who refuses to conform to the religious right.

President Obama is a man who lives his faith but does not force it on others, and when there is a conflict between his personal faith and what is fair and right for all Americans, has has proven he chooses the rights of all Americans, not just those of his faith (which is, by the way, a moderate Christianity, not that of confused and crazy people like Sarah).

We need to keep President Obama at the helm, steering us away from the shores of hate and craziness.

    1. This is SO true! I'm reading a book right now about fundamentalist Mormons by Jon Krakauer ("Into the Wild," and "Into Thin Air") called "Under the Banner of Heaven - a Story of Violent Faith," which is, to say the least, HARROWING. As one who grew up in the CULT of Mormonism (more-MEN-ism), I can attest to the fact that Mormons have "prophesied" that one of their own will become President one day and turn America into Joseph Smith's theocracy. Former "missionary," Mitt, will use this to get the Mormon vote for sure! And he's only a generation away from Romney polygamists in Mexico. "DANGER, Will Robinson!!!" Please remember, folks, there is NO nut like a religious nut!

The efforts to turn this country into a fundamentalist (faux)Christian theocracy is one of the most frightening aspects of the current crop of GOP right wing politicians. They have no compunction about forcing everyone to follow their religious dictates, but the moment there is any kind of pushback from those outside of their narrowly-defined faith, they scream about religious discrimination.

Here's an example of what Romney thinks is funny:

Yeah, that is just hilarious, Mitt. What a jerk.

Like his criticism of President Obama eating dog when he was a child in Indonesia reminded people of Romney's abuse of the family pet (when HE was an adult and should have known better!), his most recent 'joke' has also come back to bite him in his pasty white arse.

The line on the note about erasing the reporters' hard drives serves to remind everyone about how his administration illegally removed or destroyed state records on computers in the state capital before they left office.

      Nice going, Willard, you idiot!

Under Robme the United States of AMERCIA will become an Oligarchy without regard for its citizens. The 1% will rule, plunder and dominate with their avariciousness in order to increase their power while investing in anything but America.

President Obama is facing a treacherous battle led by uber wealthy who are heavily invested in gaining control at any cost. Robme is totally ill-equipped to be president, as he was as governing Massachusetts. He failed there big time. He hasn't changed.

This November is extremely crucial to the freedom of American people with "Liberty and Justice to all."

OBAMA 2012...We can make it happen!

I agree and want to add that the Romney goals/trends are already present, visible. So they are no mystery or idle prediction crafted out of fantasy. It's all already here now, only it will be dramatically more so with Reub wins.

So forgive Obama any slight shortcomings you might see (he is not perfect) and let's support him wholeheartedly on this hugely uphill battle against the mega-money, the dirty tricks and the voter fraud to come.

Our lives as we know them (or as we knew them) are at stake.

Romney is being supported by two very dangerous groups:
      - the religious right who want to turn this country into a theocracy and
      - the corporations and wealthy who want to force the middle and lower classes to hand over every last penny they have left so they can buy one more yacht or private island

I used to think it was a no brainer between Barack and Shitbird McCain and the loser from up north,

But between Romney and President Obama?

There is nothing but darkness for "the rest of us" if Mitt Romney wins.

    Get out the Vote!

Romney is one dangerous buffoon, makes President GWBush seem "wise", and that's no small feat.
