Cutting government waste, while saving 4 billion dollars in taxpayer's money, how is that NOT an action that conservatives would greet with a standing ovation?
Oh that's right, Obama did it.
However I wonder how the average voter would respond to this information? Let's keep telling them all that this President has done on their behalf and see shall we?
It always amazed me in years past that Dateline, 20/20 and 60 Minutes could find scam artists ripping off Medicare, even confronting the rogue chiropractors and doctors, yet the authorities did nothing about this. It takes a democratic president to get things done. Jeb Bush was partners with a crook who ripped off Medicare for years, then fled to Columbia (?) just before the axe dropped. Jeb of course, being a Bush, got off free with his loot from the scam. It IS the Bush way, after all!!

ReplyDeletegGovernment jobs. Now how can they whine about unemployment and smaller government when the result of smaller government is fewer jobs? And this then trickles down to the state and local levels, making out jobs picture worse too. Thank you GOP.
That guy Scott, who is the governor of Florida. Well, he cheated Medicare out of money, lots of money, and then the people of Florida voted for the crook for governor of their state. Disgraceful.

ReplyDeletePresident Obama could end federal taxation, abolish the EPA, sell off the national parks to the oil companies, and require every citizen to own multiple firearms, and it wouldn't change the one thing about him that makes Conservatives want him out of office so badly. So a mere $4 billion saved from Medicare scammers definitely can't change that. They want "their" country back. - Sarah B

As near as I can tell, "their" country has been seen carousing around with "those" people (offering them equal rights and who knows what all else, just as though their citizenship was as good as anyone else's, the nerve!), and they want it home right now!

Stop waiting for and start paying attention to our first black president
ReplyDeleteOver the last three and a half years, there have been three silly political storylines that have driven me absolutely nuts because it was plainly apparent that they were not true. One was that author, reality television star and former half-term Alaska governor Sarah Palin was going to run for president in 2012. Another was that President Obama would swap out Vice President Biden in favor of Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. And the most irksome of all is the complaint from African Americans that Obama ignores their concerns.
The latest manifestation of the Obama-doesn’t-care-about-black-people whine comes from Fredrick Harris. In a piece for The Post’s Outlook section headlined “Still waiting for our first black president,”which was adapted from his new book, the Columbia University professor makes a stunningly false argument.
Obama has pursued a racially defused electoral and governing strategy, keeping issues of specific interest to African Americans — such as disparities in the criminal justice system; the disproportionate impact of the foreclosure crisis on communities of color; black unemployment; and the persistence of HIV/AIDS — off the national agenda. Far from giving black America greater influence in U.S. politics, Obama’s ascent to the White House has signaled the decline of a politics aimed at challenging racial inequality head-on.
Those are all important issues. They must be addressed. The problem for Harris is that they are being addressed by the president. Not in the theatrical way Harris would like. But in the actions-speak-louder-than-words way of Obama.

Too bad the repubs. do not want what dems. want - a PRESIDENT who is intelligent enough to do the job. What the hell does skin color have to do with it? President Obama is smarter than any gop rep. they have. THIS is what irritates them. Their side attracts the crazies like Breitbart, Palin and others. The SMART people are democratic voters.

I dunno, Gryphen, you're so quick to cheer for any little success scored by President Obama, but as usual, his achievements just aren't very impressive when compared to the imaginary achievements of his opponent.
ReplyDeleteFor example, according to an official statement of the Rmoney campaign, President Rmoney would have recovered FOUR times as much money (that's 16 BILLION DOLLARS for any math challenged readers) in only 1/3 the amount of time that Obama took! That's money desperately needed to fund critical tax reductions for our nation's suffering most wealthy citizens.
The real question isnt how do we celebrate Obama's success, the real question why was Obama so slow and ineffective when compared to President Rmoney's VASTLY MORE impressive pretend achievements?
This is yet another reason why I am supporting Mittens for president. I'm just sick to death of Obama's over-dependence on facts and reality. I think Amercia needs a leader with more imagination. And the fact that Mittens imagines that he's qualified to be president of this country is evidence of a MASSIVELY powerful imagination.

DeleteThe man is doing everything in his power, without congress. The GOP went to washington after their Memorial Day Vacay, Blasted the job numbers, jumped up and down in front of the cameras, then left for another week's vacation.
I'm glad he's putting this out. Once again, he's got our back. The republican gov of Virginia complemented Our President's Stimulus, he says it "Saved his state's economy and worked well". The stocks rebounded back to their previous level, hope this trend continues.
