I have written a number of rather controversial posts in my time (Splitsville anyone?), but perhaps NONE of them were as controversial as my "Tale of Two Babies" post.
For those of you who are unfamiliar, that is the post where I made the case that Sarah Palin had presented a child on the campaign trail whose ears did not match the child that she had passed off as Trig right after he was "born." (If you remain confused please click the link above for clarification.)
Here is the picture of Trig's right ear on the campaign trail.
And here is the picture that was supposedly taken of him (From the right side) at a baby shower on May 5, 2008.
And here is the ear comparison we did at the time.
However that was not so obvious to everybody and this post was attacked and challenged with "new information" quite few times since I first posted it back in February of 2010.
I was undeterred though since I had done quite a lot of research, and consulted with several physicians, before writing my post. And even afterwards more medical professionals informed me that I was on the right track. (And some doctors even chimed in on other blogs.)
Since that time of course we have often theorized, sometimes with a little TOO much imagination I should point out, as to the fate of the poor ruffled ear baby which, until now, seemed to have completely disappeared.
Well now, after two years, it appears that he is still with us and is now going to Vacation Bible School.
Here have a close up.
Here, just in case it is not clear enough, allow me to offer a comparison.
Number one is WHY did Palin present another baby as Trig on the campaign trail?
Number two, WHERE did she get that substitute baby?
Number three, WHERE has this child been all of this time? (Or, if I may add an addendum, is he the one we have always seen since they arrived home, and have we simply never had a good look at his ear before?)
And of course number four, and perhaps the most important question, WHY are we seeing him now presented front and center on Brancy's blog?
I of course have my own theories, though not nearly as clearly imagined as you might think, but I am quite anxious to hear what all of you have to say about this. So please, chime in.
Update: I ran across this comment on one of the posts I wrote following my initial one on the ruffled ear baby. It was in response to all of the talk about "ear forms" and the like:
"This precious child's ear did NOT heal itself in four months! It also
was not reformed through the use of a "ear molds". In fact I would bet
almost anything that it looks very much like this even now, almost two
Well now it is FOUR years later, and it appears that this person was spot on in their assessment of the possibility of an ear healing itself, or being repaired to look completely normal.
