I awake to two good things Sunday morning.

First - President Obama will be attending the memorial in Aurora, CO -- The Consoler-In-Chief.

Second - PSU has been a step behind but this morning finally erected a fence around and put a tarp over the statue with will be removed and put in storage. Finally -- Yahoo. Actually, it being bronze, melt it down and erect a teaching tool that no sport is bigger than the school -- no sport or coach is god.

The threats of those that will protest or try to chain themselves to the statute -- remove them too. Sorry -- I have no sympathy for the students continuing to treat JoeCoachroach as a god as he too had he lived would have been charged with perjury and who knows what else -- deservedly so.

Oops -- There is a third. Coffee just finished brewing. Goodie!!

It's clear from the majority of comments on the Paterno statue removal that they've learned NOTHING. Further confirms they should shut down the football program for at least a year.

When you read that the fundraising and academics were #1 -- yea -- because of football and fundraising by Paterno. Without the football, it was just another school. The students are too thick headed as when the 'leader' fails, there's collateral damage. There is no grip of reality by the many what Paterno did and it's too bad -- they are the collateral damage as it happens many times in life. They're coming across as arrogant snots. Don't like it -- transfer. They don't give a flip as to the boys who were abused -- they only care about their 'god' coach. No better time to learn life lessons. Deal with it.

I'm beyond sympathy for those arrogant shithead students, alumni and those in the community still preaching their 'god'. Cuff the fuckers up the side of the head -- everyone of them.

I totally agree on all points. We toured the school with my daughter when the scandal first broke, and what bothered her most was the "homogenous Joe Pat Stepford Students".
They did the right thing, but I would have liked a scene like the statue of Saddamm heing destroyed, dragged away, and sold for junk metal.
What gets me is the governor is on the board of trustees and hasn't clarified what or how much he knew, if anything, about the entire matter.

Seusss...he spelled it Seuss (although I guess whoever did this parody may have wanted to avoid litigation.

    Anyway, very well done!

What's not to like about Dr Seuss? I grew up reading his books and loved reading them with my own kids. I think he'd approve this spoof of his style.
