Flash mobs: Would you, could you, on a train?

Here is the description from the YouTube site:

In April 2012 Copenhagen Phil (Sjællands Symfoniorkester) surprised the passengers in the Copenhagen Metro by playing Griegs Peer Gynt. The flash mob was created in collaboration with Radio Klassisk http://radioklassisk.dk/. All music was performed and recorded in the metro.

Much like the last one that I featured here (Which you all enjoyed so much), this one is also an advertisement of sorts. Except it is an advertisement for the Copenhagen Phil, which in my opinion makes it somewhat less manipulative, and more about the music.

Besides what a lovely way to start your Saturday, don't you agree?

Romney raised $100 million in June and Obama is openly begging for money.

And there's those pesky monthly jobs reports. The final one is Friday before the election.

    Healthcare bump, what healthcare bump?

How long before you start secretly wishing Palin was the nominee if not already?

Wow, you are so pathetic! You can't even bother to listen to and appreciate some beautiful music. Instead, you spend your sad life stalking blogs where you gleefully make immature and completely delusional off-topic statements. I would wish you a happy weekend, but I believe that is completely beyond your capabilities. Sure sucks to be you!
Uncle G, thanks for the lovely music that I'm listening to whilst I compose this message.

We can't hear you. The beautiful music drowns you out. Now, go away.

How long will it be? Until never.

I have working brain cells and use them. Sarah Palin is a national embarrassment. Not only is she willfully ignorant, she is arrogant about it.

Get real, get a life, and appreciate the beauty around you - like the music on the Flash Mob video.

There is nothing remotely beautiful or intelligent about Sarah Palin. Shame on you for bringing that ghastly woman's name up in this post.

If Palin were the nominee it would definitely make it easier for Obama. But don't worry, be happy! That's what this thread is about- you're off topic! THIS is the kind of stuff life is about!!

      Jeebus H. Krisp.

Be gone. Before a tornado drops a house on you or you melt if covered in water.

The music is wonderful. Yet probably nothing beautiful penetrates your dark heart and empty soul.

So very funny! I see you didn't get the latest talking points memo. Sarah Palin plays the flute, also, too!

Compare her "talent" to the clip!

OK Anon @ 4:58, please do us and yourself a favor:

Take a few deep breaths... then look at and listen to the above video...really look and listen... there now... take another deep breath... do you feel a smile forming? Does it lift your mood, put you at peace, if even for a moment? I hope so.

    Big smiling Thank you! fromthediagonal
    Happy sigh!
    We all needed that!

    Now back to regular rantings.

That made me smile so hard, I had tears in my eyes. One of the joys of public transportation.

How beautiful and the smiles on the metro passengers as they realized and then just enjoyed being surrounded by wonderful music. I love Denmark and I love Copenhagen! And I think these musical happenings are just what "the world needs now."

IN the train itself? Bullshit! So few instrumentalists couldn't produce that sound. It's all pre-recorded and the "musicians" are....what's the instrumental equivalent of lipsynching?....fingersynching, mebbe?

Also, too, do their trains run TOTALLY silent?

I love music. I won't tolerate being lied to, scammed.

    2. On the YouTube site they explain that they did in fact record the music on the train, when its was stopped.

They did not try to scam anybody, and they did play while passengers were on the train and it was moving, they simply wanted the most crisp performance to use for the video.

      Wouldn't you?

I thought that trolls slept in. Apparently not.

Romney is sucking up money from anyone he can. He's getting it from dark and nasty places and people and his total lack of integrity and soul lets him do it with abandon. He's using every trick in the book to skirt the law, as is the GOP, which is typical of them.

President Obama will win this election, and he doesn't need Palin or anything remotely connected to Palin to win it.

He will win it on the same principles he's always stood for and you can take that to the bank, you sorry ass jerk who lurks in the middle of the night to post stupid ass comments.

Well, it is pretty obvious which "side" has class and enjoys life for the beauty that it offers. People who cannot enjoy moments of sheer job as in the video back Sarah Palin. How pitiful their lives must be.

Thank you,Gryphen, for lifting us out of the miasma that surrounds people like her. You are a class act, Gryphen, We are grateful for your love of the country and for your appreciation of the beauty in the world.

      +1

In my area, the heat wave finally broke, after yesterday's 100 plus and 70% humidity. It's a nice low 80s day with lower humidity.

This song was perfect for the absolutely wonderful morning I'm having in the Upper Midwest.

Listening to the video and music was fantastic.

      Thanks, Gryphen.

Thanks Gryphen, great stuff. Not sure if you saw this a few years back but it's in the same vein really cool experiment they did on the DC Metro where they had Virtuoso Violinist Joshua Bell (one of the best in the world) play in the subway like a normal busker and see peoples reaction:
    http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2007/04/04/AR2007040401721.html

I won't spoil it but just like in your video the Kids have the best reactions. Thanks again.

Thanks, there's something profoundly beautiful in the expressions on the passengers faces. We all laugh, cry and smile in the same language.

Random acts of kindness are something we all can relate to.
