Utah GOP activist charged with multiple rapes and kidnapping. Gee I hope nobody important was photographed standing next to him.

Courtesy of the Salt Lake Tribune:

A Utah Republican activist is accused of raping four women — two of whom say they were taken to the Heber cabin where the man hosted major political events.

Gregory Nathan Peterson, 37, of Orem, was charged Wednesday in 3rd District Court in Salt Lake City with 23 felony counts, including rape and kidnapping, and two misdemeanors. A jail log indicates U.S. marshals arrested Peterson in his home in Heber and booked him into the Salt Lake County jail. He remained there Thursday in lieu of $750,000 bail.

Charging documents allege sexual assaults against four women Peterson met in Salt Lake County beginning March 26, 2011. In the first case, the documents allege, he met a woman at a church function and she agreed to go to a movie with him.

But instead of going to a theater, the documents allege, Peterson told the woman he had a gun and took her to his five-bedroom, five-bathroom, 3,000-square-foot cabin in Heber. The documents allege he sexually assaulted the woman and hit her when she did not do as he wished. Peterson drove the woman back to her vehicle the next morning.

Peterson’s Heber cabin is where he has held annual Republican barbecues and gatherings.

God what a fucking pig! It is EXACTLY this kind of son-of-a-bitch that gives men everywhere a bad name.

But you know what I am NOT going to damn Mitt Romney for his association with this piece of garbage. After all how was he to know?

Besides what kind of middle school idiot would try to smear somebody just for who they once associated with?

Which by the way is a good thing considering just how many prominent GOP politicians this guy associated with:

Peterson’s Facebook page featured several photos of him with Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney, Florida Sen. Marco Rubio, Texas Rep. Ron Paul and South Carolina Sen. Jim DeMint.

Peterson has billed himself online as a "close personal friend of the Romney family," and posted video on Youtube of Romney speaking at a 2007 fundraiser at Romney’s home in Deer Valley. He contributed $2,300 to the Romney campaign that year. In addition, he posted several photos of himself and Romney on his Facebook page.

Yep, sure is good thing that we are above that blaming by association thing.  Don'tcha think?

Hello, human diary. It is I again, Mitt Romney, your better.

I am tired of this. No matter how many times I praise their local foodstuffs or regale crowds with humorous anecdotes about the various times my family laid people off, this tax foolishness continues. I have already explained to these people that my taxes are of the legally correct height, and that the core reason for my campaign is to make them a different, lower height, and that it is none of their business what precisely either of those heights might be. This has always worked in the past, and I see no reason why it should not be working now.

I earnestly desire at this point nothing more than to purchase a new business just so I may have the momentary satisfaction of firing someone. None of these press units have been paying nearly enough respect to me, even after I pointed out that I could quite easily erase all of their hard drives. Even my own campaign surrogates cannot be fired, as we apparently do not technically pay them.

This campaign nonsense is a mess. I do not have believe I have had a single good day on the campaign trail since the Supreme Court decided that thing I did in Massachusetts that in hindsight was an abomination was not an abomination after all. Now that each day includes these new constant discussions regarding various idiot vice presidential candidates, I do not know how much more of this I can take.

An acquaintance at a fundraiser once muttered that it would be far less costly for we wealth units to simply purchase our own small nation and be done with it. I have seriously begun to consider it, but only if I could be assured that the others would in fact make me the president of that new country without undue irritation. There is no way I am going to subject myself to another damned primary.

    (Crickets chirping)

Then he sends out his wife: Ann Romney.

Ann Romney has tried to provide cover for her husband with the following during an interview with Robin Roberts of "Good Morning, America":

“We’ve given all you people need to know and understand about our financial situation and how we live our life.”

"What's Mitt Romney hiding?" is the question on everyone's mind

You are so right Sarah, there should be consequences for bad behavior and whatnot.

So past associations are fair game in order to properly vet a candidate and whatnot.

"Addressing the president's ties to his former pastor, Palin argued that the controversial figure should be fair game in the race for the White House. She explained, "I thought so in 2008, and that's why I went rogue, if you will and disagreed with some of John McCain's advisers when they said no a lot of these issues like past associations and Rev. Wright and Bill Ayers and those that helped shape Obama's world view needed to be off the table and not discussed."

The former Alaska governor added, "I disagreed then, I disagree now." She took issue with the notion of a "one-sided ceasefire call" and argued that some GOP operatives "have the fighting instinct of Mr. Snuffleupagus.""

Sarah Palin pals around with the likes of Joe Miller, Frank Bailey, Bob & Mark, Reverend Muthee, Chuck Kopp, Papa Pilgrim, Schaeffer Cox, Jeremy Morlock, Bill Allen. . .the list goes on and on, you nefarious twit.

DFA members are walking into Mitt Romney's campaign headquarters in Boston right now. They're delivering over 224,000 petition signatures from DFA and MoveOn members from across the country calling on Romney to release his tax returns.

The best part? We invited the press.

Romney's been getting hammered on this for weeks -- and his campaign is in complete meltdown over the issue. They've tried every trick in the book to change the subject and distract from Romney's tax returns.

We can't let them do that. We need to keep the pressure up. Mitt Romney is hiding something -- something so big so that he's willing to get beaten up by the press for weeks to keep it under cover.

Now, let's deliver the knockout punch. If we raise $50,000 this weekend, we'll have the resources we need to blast Romney on this issue for weeks to come -- on TV, on the radio, in Google ads, Facebook ads, everywhere.

This week has been devastating for Romney. More than half a dozen Republicans and right-wing media outlets came out against him -- demanding he release his tax returns and clarify exactly what he was doing with Bain Capital from 1999 - 2002.

Romney's tried everything to change the subject. He did a round-robin of cable channels to try -- but all he got was questions about Bain.

His campaign tried leaking names from his VP shortlist the press -- but the questions about Bain kept on coming.

Now he's trying to shrug the whole thing off. But don't let him fool you. This could be the defining issue of Romney's campaign and we can't stop hammering him on it until he tells us exactly what he's hiding.

Romney Invested Millions in Firms That Pioneered High-Tech Outsourcing

EXCLUSIVE: A government document shows that at Bain he held a $54 million stake in companies that manufactured electronics in China and Mexico for US firms.

In March 1999, shortly after Romney left Bain to take over the troubled Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City, Brookside Capital Investors Inc., a Bain-related entity wholly owned by Romney, filed a report with the Securities and Exchange Commission that listed dozens of companies in which Brookside held a stake the previous quarter. The roster included investments in Singapore-based Flextronics International ($13 million) and Florida-headquartered Jabil Circuit Inc. ($41 million), two companies that were leaders in the fast-growing field of outsourcing electronics manufacturing and offshoring production to low-wage countries. Together, these two investments represented almost 10 percent of Brookside's $559 million portfolio.

    Mitt Romney, Un-American

Republicans have questioned the patriotism of Democrats for nearly a hundred years. But now, at long last, Barack Obama is turning the tables on the GOP.

John Sununu opened the “American” door the other day, and now the Romney campaign is barging through it, plotting attacks on Barack Obama’s “biography,” which will inevitably include veiled accusations about his alleged alien cast, his lack of American-ness. So now that it’s open, let’s stroll through it ourselves. What’s taking place in the room on the other side of that door? Republicans and conservatives are bouncing off the walls because they face a serious risk for the first time in a generation that their definitions of patriotism and Americanism are losing. And not just losing—losing to, of all people, Barack Hussein Obama!
