Mitt Romney: "You better shop around!"

And after all WHY would Romney care about helping to educate young people?

As we know a well informed electorate is far less likely to vote Republican than one that makes their choices based on faith rather than intellect.

First Romney loses the middle class, then the women, and now the students.

Pretty soon the only people he will have left are the 1% that currently share his income bracket. Sweet!

My son asked for money for college ...

I told him to just withdraw francs from his Swiss Bank account ... like Mitt's kids did.

      Hilarious!

I heard Romney then thought it is true he has no idea the median income people have presuming parents have vast amounts of cash. His response said nothing about grants or loans. I am expecting Romney to have one answer for everything, "Let them eat cake!"

    2. But Daaa aaaad. Now I'm going to hafta rebalance my entire portfolio of international holdings. It would be a lot simpler for you to just spot me 500 G's for now and we'll settle up later if these minute transactions are still stuck in your craw later when I actually have the time and level of interest to bother with crunching some numbers.

But right now I'm really busy packing to go to Dubai to see how our new polo ponies perform. I can't be dealing with chump change right now, Daddy Mittens. I've got to keep my head right for this exhausting trip of pleasure. So chill, Pops. We're cool.

It scares me that 34% of senior citizens and 24% of women think that Mitt Romney would be a better choice for them. How stupid can Americans get?

You can now add that Romney and Ryan have both had a problem 'stealing' the music for their campaign stops!!

Martin Bashir showed the statement of Dee Snider of Twisted Sister on their song "We're Not Gonna Take It" (which Ryan played at a Town Hall meeting).

"I emphatically denounce Paul Ryan's use of my band Twisted Sister's song in any capacity. There is almost nothing he stands for that I agree with except the use of P90X."

    Thwwwwack!!!!

Politicususa has a great poll post up:

"An 18 Point Swing in Economic Optimism Powers Obama Over Romney"

    http://www.politicususa.com/18-point-swing-economic-optimism-helps-obama-gain-steam-romney.html

"46% of respondents are more optimistic in August. This is up from a July poll that showed only 37% were optimistic about the economy.

Those who are less optimistic have dropped almost equally, from 55% in July to 46% in August. This is almost an 18 point swing into Obama’s direction in a month.

This is great news for Obama going into the last three months of the election cycle.

Another point is the answer to this question, if Romney “has the right set of goals and policies to improve the economy.” 42 percent said they were “not at all confident.” President Obama has the same outcome also, which is not good for Romney — considering the economy is the entire basis of his campaign."

Politicususa also provides the WSJ link to the poll data.

  7. That will be plenty since the 1% have Citizens United to let them buy as many votes as it takes.

I just spent a week at a conference with international students. Many go to college for FREE. They were completely aghast at the amount of money US students need to borrow for a college degree. "Doesn't your country want educated citizens?" (Apparently not.)

I just love this! My daughter is shopping for colleges with a partial scholarship, I wonder if Romney can retroactively "adopt" her so she can ask him for a hundred grand? She's over eighteen so she could run away after the check clears.

Anita, even with a partial scholarship, most colleges out of state cost more than 100000. for 4 years. It's crazy out there for a middle class family thinking of sending their kids to college.
