Rachel Maddow explains that Paul Ryan is NOT a fiscal conservative, and that Sarah Palin is simply no longer relevant to the discussion.

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy
"Mostly she and her family are just doing reality shows now. She had a reality show, her daughter had a reality show, plus the dancing thing, and now her husband has a new reality shoe as well. Nobody in current Republican politics calls themselves a 'Sarah Palin' Republican."

God I loved that.

And Rachel's take done of Paul Ryan is a thing of beauty. This is a MUST SEE segment!

Maddow speaks to the intelligentsia. She used the word "profligacy"; we get it, but would Fox News ever use that word? She tries so hard but the only people that watch her are the people that already realize what a bunch or "morans" the right is. There is no hope for them; a fair dose of Rachel wouldn't ever change their minds because most of what she says is over their heads.

    1. Ditto here on Rachel. She does a good job of explaining on different levels as well. My son started watching her show with me during the BP Deep Horizon spill when he was in the 10th grade, and that's when I actually noticed how much research she was putting into the nuts and bolts of a topic.

She prepared well by reading all of the safety reports, etc., and my son pointed out to me that she was discussing the same things that their instructor had talked about in classes (Physics). It made an impression on me that he noticed that "Dad, she asks some good questions. She's done a lot of homework and she's guiding his answers to teach the audience the important things do it's not too complicated."

The next day or so, I was listening to Hannity on the radio and my son asked me, "Are you listening to this guy because it's funny to hear him whine and complain? Because I know he's full of it on a lot of the stuff he said about the President's wife and President Obama."

The only I could think of was to say that it was just entertainment, satire or listening to someone talk just to hear their own voice." When he said, "Like Rush Limbaugh?", I nearly lost it laughing. I didn't know he knew the name. But he had Hannity nailed from that point on.

I might've known the meaning of the word propaganda when I was in high school, but i don't know if I could've differentiated between a good source and a terribly biased source based on a short exposure. I was glad that his BS detector was on regardless of what he was being exposed to.

I am to the point I can not watch Robme or Eddie Munster....the lies are just so bad, saying Obama is dividing the country and promoting hate, that did it for me. The welfare lie, the medicare lie...the budget lies, now that scumbag judge in PA, when you see his comments on upholding the voter ID law..jeez. I hope and pray enough of us vote every single one of those horrible republicans out of office...for good. I want to take my country back. It is beyond my comprehension how anyone could possibly vote for these 2 and say they love this country.

    Gryphen & Everyone,

I know there's very little love for Chris Matthews, but you have to watch this segment from tonight. It's short and actually painless as it doesn't involve Chris talking to or questioning anyone!!

It's a must see of Bill Maher comparing Ryan and Palin.

Evident is a three syllable word. Make it four when she added -ly. She was so proud of her new favorite word she used it ten times in one of her word salads going after Dick Cheney.

    2. Anonymous5:53 PM

If you think about it, there are not that many people who can use a particular word, say "evidently", for instance, 4 times in one sentence. I tried, and it's hard to not laugh when you hear yourself saying the same shit as Sarah. That's why Tina Fey was the funniest when she quoted Sarah directly.

Sarah is a comedic genius playing a political analyst. She just isn't paid as well as Will Ferrell.

As Sarah continues her warp-speed slide into irrelevancy, I'll bet she'll decide to cash in her last chips and finally come clean on how Trig came to be.

The big reveal won't come cheap though. The interview will be granted for the right price because of all the "hurt telling the story will cause her fammmilleee." Getting that last fat paycheck will be enough to soothe the hurt because it will beat the hell out of finding a real job and it will keep her in the headlines for just a little longer.

She's a hypocritical conservative talking-point spokesmodel for sure, but when you get down to it, she a fluffer. But not good enough to warm up the RNC Convention. LOL.

She says herself she's been saying the same thing since 2008 and that she's eager to hear new voices. New voices like, John McCain?

Rachel Maddow is on a roll again tonight: she's talking about the Pennsylvania court decision that is going to disenfranchise a huge number of voters, mostly Democrats among the elderly, poor, and other. The person in charge of educating the PA public about the new voter ID requirements is a Republican bundler for Romney. This is a horrific development. That judge is an idiot.

Palin spun SPA as a "documentary" which her supporters accepted, agreeing to the lie thus embracing Palin had a servants heart for AK.

Palin did just enough in politics to confuse and control attention as a possible future presidential candidate. She was pursuing more reality shows deceiving her supporters taking advantage of them for her personal gain. Palin used people leading them down a primrose path. The remaining bots need to blame for truth surely hurts to accept you were had.

The well will run dry. This will be good for our country, politicians and for the Palin offspring.

Just imagine what she could of done if she actually had a brain and was knowledgeable instead of being a carnival barker. If Sarah Palin had any type of brain with her evil mean soul, she could of been another Hitler.

Guarantee, she will do a reprise of her Thunder Stillin' bus tour and try to upstage any and all at the RNC.

I am positive every security guard, cop, and entryway guardian/ticket taker have been told personally- DO NOT LET HER IN.

I'm thinking she won't be able to stand it way back at the strip center mall where her "brand" is on par with Michael Vick's Dog Training Videos. No, she will show up on the grounds of the venue WITH a camera crew because she has learned by now people congregate where there's cameras.

She will say she's just "try'n to suppert our pardy, just a reg-yew-lur citizen, don't mind me!"

But of course she will do everything possible to wrench the spotlight toward herself, including getting a rent-a-Trig or drugging up one of the real ones.

You just know she has an internal dialog going-
"How DARE they not invite me! I practically brought their stupid party back to life! I AM the most prominent republican in the country!"

Finally I'm sure she will ice that crap filled cake by saying, after she has caused a huge security breach and generally tried as hard as she could to get a crowd together/hopped up on hate- she will play dumb (so hard!) and whine about how you have to listen to the people and if rill people want her, then by golly she's gonna be there for tha rill people!

Jon Stewart Blasts ‘Divisive’ Charge Against Obama By Chronicling GOP’s Own Divisiveness, he takes on Lego Hair:

"And then there’s Sarah Palin, who argued that no prominent Republican spews the kind of divisive rhetoric that the left has been using. Stewart begged to differ, proceeding to run a clip of comments by Palin herself — ranging from accusing Obama of palling around with terrorists and calling Nancy Pelosi a dingbat, to, “They’re like dead fish.”

There are only two explanations, Stewart concluded: “One, not even Sarah Palin believes she’s a prominent Republican anymore or, two, Sarah Palin can no longer hear herself speak. You can read about it in my new book The Luckiest Woman in America.”

I actually believe it's still possible she could end up in jail one day. I'm fairly certain she's laundering money somehow through SarahPAC, and I'm 100% certain she's engaging in tax evasion with it. On the latter, she clearly uses it for personal purposes, from family vacations to, I suspect, legal retainers for legal counsel completely unrelated to political matters.

Someone is eventually going to drop the hammer on her, and I base this on simple mathematical odds. You cannot screw over the number of people she has without it coming back to bite you really hard at some point. And most of these people are in her own political party. I think she knows this, which is why she tries to toe the line, albeit not very successfully, with the GOP party.

Who knows, maybe that's why they are keeping her away from the convention. Maybe they know something really unpleasant is on the horizon and they want to put enough advance distance between her and the party.

But if her own party doesn't doesn't see to this, I suspect Obama will. Hey, he got bin Laden, didn't he? He got universal healthcare passed into law, didn't he? Does anyone honestly think this president is finished with righting the most grievous wrongs done to America?

      Delete
    4. I don't think she could be host of a talk show. To do that, you have to be able to at least convincingly fake interest in your guests and whatever they accomplished that got them on your show. Palin is incapable of doing that.

Remember that abysmal Fox show where she was supposed to host and interview real American heroes? She couldn't do it. She can't handle a situation where she is supposed to put the attention on someone else. You can tell that it sticks in her craw to take the attention off herself.

And her stupid "Alaska's Sarah Palin" show? Why didn't she just help us learn how oh, halibut fishing worked by focusing on the people actually doing the job? She had to horn in and have herself filmed bumbling around.

She's like Bette Midler in Beaches: "But enough about me, let's talk about you,........what do You think about me?"

Rachel needs a wider audience, perhaps a television talk show in prime time, a radio program or even produce and narrate documentaries. She did a great job with the Tiller Story.
