Hah, I love it!
That dog on the roof thing is going dog Romney for the rest of his life. (Did you see what I did there?)
By the way Romney better be careful. As it turns out the President may also be a wizard.
I understand it's just a trick of the light, or is it?
Ooooooooooh, neocons head's are exploding all over the country. How dare he! Uncalled for! Low blow! Harumph, harumph, harumph.
ReplyDeleteThe only thing outsourcing giants like Bain Capitalists are manufacturing these last tax-free days are outrage.
Huffington Post Removes Story After Incorrectly Reporting Fox News Edited Gaffe Out Of Romney’s VP Intro.
ReplyDeleteo/t How long until they shove the "Vets slam Stars Earn Stripes" story starring the biggest mistake and "husband of" to the back pages?
As we type Nickelodeon is working out a program to enlist their audience in fake war competions like the most realistic and fun games imaginable. Counting on over worked and low information parents to be a sleep at the wheel. No college for kids and they can't find work. The military will take over, it is the best way to dole out welfare to the masses.
I will watch the show, when the "stars" have to dodge IED's and look out for enemy snipers.
DeleteSomeone DID edit it out, the AP, which feeds all over the world. A commenter from Sweden said they didn't see the gaffe a few days ago here on IM, A friend of my husband forwarded the AP clip from Germany, and I saw it in another blog's thread.

Granted, this isn't the entire speech, but wasn't Ryan by his side when he "Retroactively corrected" his "premature" gaffe?
Mr. President,
ReplyDelete(Seamus): Thank you.
(me): you are one cool dude.
ha! perfect.

Love it Gryphen!
ReplyDelete"He's got the whole world in his hands...." Or maybe that is the sun. :)
ReplyDelete@anon 2:20: "He's got the whole world in his hands..." is appropriate - not only when looking at this picture, but also when thinking that every president since the 1950ies had that power, as did the Soviet Union.
DeleteThis has not changed all that much since other nations have joined the "nuclear club" (what an innocuous name) and the margins for intemperate action have become ever more narrow.
Be that as it may, this picture captures an almost mystical moment, whether it is photoshopped or not.
fromthediagonal
It certainly is a symbolic image, inadvertent or not. Wow. I like it. Cool.

Mitt Romney should have stopped off in Denmark during his trip to Europe. Of course, he may not know where it is. There is a major island in Denmark that is totally powered by wind.
ReplyDeleteI love that picture. I love the President. When he wins, hopefully we can all love America again.
ReplyDeleteIm amazed that paul ryan is giving speeches right away. I thought repub vp candidates went into hiding for 2 weeks ;)
ReplyDeleteI hope Bo shows up in more ads for the Pres and maybe a couple of personal appearances by the First Dog.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah? Well Romney's got a "My Pretty Pony", and the staff to comb and braid it's hair for him, Top THAT President Obama!
Delete(Romney's waiting for the perfect opportunity to out do "The Wiz"!)
I'm not a lover of CNN, but I have to give props to Soledad O'Brien:
ReplyDelete"Soledad O'Brien Rips Sununu's Medicare Claims: 'You Can't Just Repeat It and Make It True, Sir"
Within the interview, Sununu, in his habitual arrogant condescending, blow out his asshole spew -- he told Soledad to:
"Put an Obama bumper sticker on your forehead when you do this!" the frustrated surrogate shot back.
Soledad is not one that takes this kind of shit lying down!! Soledad maintained her cool. The fat prick didn't as you can hear him shouting.

de
Soledad O'Brien has TWO Republican surrogate scalps on her belt. She treated Barbara Comstock to the same fact-check, and all Comstock could do was babble talking points. It was delicious.
DeleteThanks for the link, de. I'd never have seen it, CNN has morphed into "Fox lite" with few exceptions.
DeleteI sometimes wonder why Soledad and Anderson Cooper don't jump ship to MSNBC or Current TV.
Sununu hasn't got the nads to go on Tameron Hall or Rachel, either of them could teach Soledad the high art of factual smack down.
Obama is a Christian lol he believes in Jesus lol how can you possibly respect that.
ReplyDeleteI respect the fact that he doesn't say that he seeks guidance from the Almighty, rather than his human advisers.
DeleteI also respect that he is not constantly talking about his religious beliefs nor cramming them down our throats.
And further I respect the fact the he seems concerned with tolerance for ALL religions and not just the one to which he subscribes.
Anon 2:57
DeleteNot everyone spews their religion via a bullhorn. The louder they spew -- the faker they are.
Hmmm - Like Palin for instance. That bitch hasn't seen the inside of a Church since I can't remember when. Oh yes -- for Ted's funeral. As for personally - fucking years.
They are a fake religious family. They use and abuse the use of the word 'GOD' as they truly don't believe.
quite a photo for a talk on alternative energy. yowsa.
ReplyDeleteOff topic, sorry, I just didn't know where else to put it. HuffPost "Media" on Todd's reality show, and oh, my, the comments....
ReplyDeletehttp://www.huffingtonpost.com/2012/08/14/stars-earn-stripes-nbc-re_n_1776653.html
Great video.
DeleteThanks. I loved the clips and the comments are dead on! We promote war as entertainment, yet we ignore our veterans, and the media "sanitizes" the truth about war by not doing in depth reporting and accounting of all military and civilian injury and loss.
DeleteThe fact that they're "playing army" for "charity" is wrong on so many levels.
Romney stuff, important stuff.

Rachel was fabulous in uncovering the true Ryan plans tonight. She is a national treasure.
ReplyDeleteShe is, except for only liberals listen to her.
DeleteIt's sad how polarized the country is.
I'm glad he "went there", how people treat their animals reflects how they would treat people.
ReplyDeleteAnd the second photo is my new wallpaper.
A VP pick usually doesn't amount to much importance, but I think this one is different. Romney has gone to great lengths not to flesh out any policies. He's had no substance to his talking points, but with the Ryan pick, it finally gives dems a motherlode of detailed policy to run against. If Romney consistently comes out against Ryan's policies, his base goes away and he looks somewhat foolish for picking Ryan. If he agrees with Ryan's policies, then not only do dems have a race they can win, but the damage down ticket can also be considerable.
ReplyDeleteAs sociopathic, sadistic, and frankly evil as Paul Ryan is, he is ALL POLICY. He has a clear agenda and gives every example of being as ruthless (and bloodthirsty) domestically as Cheney was in foreign policy.
ReplyDeleteand that's no joke.
Oh, yeah. Republicans are frantic about the Ryan pick which his why he has a 50% favorability rating.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, Obama is spending three days in Iowa on a bus tour--a state he carried by nine points in 2008.
P-A-N-I-C.
And, of course, Obama, he has every right for the handwringing. In his ascension to the White House he has dispatched superior candidates by loathsome, unethical means in two cases and forcing out another candidate on a technicality. The first two were divorced men whose divorce records were sealed and Obama employed the despicable tactic of having the Chicago Sun leak these records which, once tried in the court of public opinion, these men–who probably would have defeated Obama–were forced to drop out of the race. The third was a woman who made an administrative error, filed a document late, and Obama ensured she would not be able to particpate in the election.
To put it in the lingo of boxers, he has yet to be cut. We’re beginning to see how cowardly he is and how his past odious tactics were a harbinger of just how ruthless, unethical, and predatory he can be when there is no other course left for hiom to follow.
He will be cut this time around. Charlie Gibson and Katie Couric will not serve him well to make Ryan look uninformed. He will not have scum like Andrew Sullivan or Joe McGinness to hunt Ryan down looking for proof that one of Ryan’s chidren was not his own.
There will be no Walter Monoghans trying to smear Ryan and no endless parade of legislatures forcing him to raise money to defend his name against fraudlent actions of impropriety. Nor will there be a daughter pregnant out of wedlock made so by one of the most despicable media whoers of the past 20 years that will be granted an interview in Vanity Affair fabricating lies and slander about the Ryan family.
Put simply, Ryan’s personal life is bullet proof and they will have to try to draw blood in intellectual skirmishes.
Winston Churchill once said, “A lie is halfway around the world before the truth has its pants on.” The truth now not only is fully dressed but it bearing down on Obama and his cronies lies like a cheetah.
RAM?
DeleteThe projection is visceral.
DeleteLOL "Ryan's personal life is bullet proof" Thanks for acknowledging we were right, are right and always will be right about Sarah Palin's complete and utter disgrace of a family and sheer stupidity at not being able to finesse two of the easiest main stream interviews ever given to a Vice Presidential Candidate.
DeleteRyan's personal life may be "bullet proof", his public record and fetish for Ayn Rand's Romneyesque' world view where the Rich .05 percent rule the world, Ryan's public record is like Swiss Cheese (domestic, not imported, of course!).
