Sometimes I think the Republicans believe that all Mittens has to do is show his white skin, disenfranchise enough minority voters, and block Obama's attempts to fix the economy in order to walk away with his election.

DeleteI am assuming that Anon 4:25am means that Romney is "an unlikeable weirdo prick cult member" (not language that I would ever use without quotation marks). Otherwise the comment makes no sense at all. President Obama is definitely not arrogant and he does not act in a "superior" manner and he is not "hateful to the middle class." I fit firmly in the middle class and I do not personally know anyone who does not admire and respect President Obama.

The cult Tparty followers will do as they're told. It's the independents we have to work on and get our message out to. They are being bombarded with millions of $ in negative ads so we have to make sure they receive the truth, in addition to the bs. Work the independents. Volunteer for the campaign. Sign up for vonage and use your phone. I did that in 08 and called all over the nation for pennies.
Use the internet. Do as they're doing with their false astro turf stuff. But use your head. Every time you see bs about Obama posted, post the truth. Every time you see a lie posted, post a fact. Be polite and courteous and don't call names or belittle the other posters. You won't convince the die hards but you might reach an independent or two.
Also, too, don't forget the down races. Get them to the polls for Obama but also govs, senators and house seats. Choose a couple of down race candidates and go to the online newspapers for those cities and states and talk up the progressive candidate. Learn about their strengths and argue them--politely.
If we do this right, by the end of his second term, we can have this Country turned around.
If successful, we'll have no problem electing another progressive in 2016.
Mitt is looking older, seems like his pasted-on smile has changed to look more weary. His self-inflicted problems seem overwhelming, and the Reid revelation will have big fat legs.
ReplyDeleteI almost feel sorry for him, except then I remember how hard it is for most of us just in terms of jobs and bills alone, and how Mitt can retire to a life of contemplating his navel any time he wants. And then I think of the evil puppeteers behind him (or behind whomsoever is the GOP candidate) who have redistributed wealth so successfully and who have lots more plans re how us 99%ers can serve the 1%ers -- and NAAAAAH, poor ole Mitt had it coming.
