Here let me help you feel totally inadequate.

He's five. Five!

I don't think I have ever felt less talented in my life.

And look how much fun he was having.

  1. And I had just come from my (adult, beginner) piano lesson when I saw this!

It's OK though; I rejoice in his talent and joy. As I tell my art and design students: start where you are and do your best, with the intention to improve and that will lead you to excellence.

Cheers to all music lovers and music makers, as it is magical balm for the soul.

Cool, but can he yell obscenities at adults, ride a bike with no training wheels, or catch a salomon with his bare 4 year old hands? Bristol, thatcchild has real talent, and loving parents. Has Tripp started piano lessons yet? They love kids on AGT, but they have to actually have talent. Hanging out on fake TV shows with two trashy young women teaches him nothing but swear words. No sale.
Sorry to rant, but Sarah's hate with O'Reilly where she told Mitt to lie more about Obama, and then Mitt's totally ignorant lies this AM about the Obama response to our citizens' deaths in Libya make me so angry at the people like her who encourage hate. This is what you've sown , Sarah. Death.

OK, I feel like something the cat dragged in and my piano 'career' that that developed, and my middle age blues doesn't feel better now, G., after watching this.

I can't believe what I just heard. That kid is incredible!!

That's weird he looks the same age as Tripp. Maybe a few months older. Could the palins be lying and Tripp is older than they say???? Why would they lie about a kids age? It's like they're covering up some much bigger lie. Hmmmm

You know, I am seeing and hearing this after my comment on your Dalai Lama post, and I have to tell you that whenever I see a child prodigy I wonder about the idea of reincarnation.

This talent is something that comes imbedded in the genes, of that I am sure, but could there be more to it? Yeah, there this unbeliever goes on a magical mystery trip, HA!

There are more videos at 'andylee1893' of this little guy equally joyfully playing the drums. He reads and has memorized the sheet music for the drums as well, as you can tell by the way he looks back at the camera while he is hitting all of the right rhythms. Inspiring, and I think we all need a bit of joy in our lives.

    Thanks, I needed that!
The look on his face is priceless, what a smile!
I know talent of this caliber is rare, but it does speak to the value of the arts in education.

yes I think it has to be reincarnation. I am not an atheist, in fact I completely believe in divinity, just not divinity as defined by the various religions. I think even Gryphen believes in divinity as reflected in the amazing creations and peaceful presence of Nature, given his numerous closing posts about amazing wonders of space, and awe-inspiring scenes of Alaska entering Fall. Child prodigies MUST provide some proof of consecutive lives! How else could it possibly happen - children performing like that?? Ever heard the theory that there is no time? That supposed eons of time are all simultaneous in consecutive vibrating circles? Gosh darn, sorry to confuse you. I know that this is not the blog to put this on. Anyhow, thanks Gryphen for your inspiring posts about space and Alaska. I am a Palin hater like all the rest of you, and I admit I feed on my addiction to all your posts and comments about her. But the only time I am inspired to write my own comment, is about something uplifting that Grypthen posts. So thanks. By the way, I live in the Sothern Hemisphere, New Zealand. I am an expatriate American. I was never interested in American politics before the 2008 election, but ever since then,I have been transfixed. Sarah Palin is my pet addiction. It is laughable, I know.

Still, thanks Grythen and all of you commenters, you are my daily entertainment!
