President Obama responds to Mitt Romney's indefensible attack after murder of four Americans. "Governor Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later."

Courtesy of CBS News:

In response to Mitt Romney's criticism of the Obama administration for its handling of recent violence in Egypt and Libya, President Obama told CBS News on Wednesday that Romney "seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later." "There's a broader lesson to be learned here," Mr. Obama told "60 Minutes" correspondent Steve Kroft. "And I think -- you know, Governor Romney seems to have a tendency to shoot first and aim later. And as president, one of the things I've learned is you can't do that. That, you know, it's important for you to make sure that the statements that you make are backed up by the facts. And that you've thought through the ramifications before you make 'em."

Asked if Romney's attacks were irresponsible, the president replied, "I'll let the American people judge that."

Yes I think the American people will DEFINITELY take the opportunity to judge this pathetic excuse for a presidential candidate. Personally I think this will be remembered as the day this election was decided.

A smirking Mitt Romney leaves his press conference after defending his attacks on the President.

If Romney wins the election it will be with the help of the vote-flipping Diebold machines. Does anybody remember Ohio in '04? The Ohio Secretary of State, Ken Blackwell, stole the election in that state. A whistle blower who was ready to testify in the investigation died in an unfortunate plane crash. Hmmmm. Who does that sound like? Despicable. Get out and vote, people!!

Idiot Rommney should have waited and not said anything while things were still in chaos. I shudder to think how he would govern. Our president needs a cool head, gets his/her facts right, meets with advisers, then, and only then make a statement.

  3. Chris Matthews and his panel eviscerated Palin over her remarks on Billo. "Dr. Freud to the courtesy white phone," said Joan Walsh, after Chris read Palin's "grow a big stick" comment. "We are all diminished for mentioning Sarah Palin's name," said Ron Reagan. The remarks of Mitt Romney were described as Palinesque (probably in reference to her stupidity.)

I wonder how his low caliber brain is going to react (aside from the predictable "it's all a political attack!") if the IRS goes back earlier than 2002 in Bain and nails his butt!

I mean, there HAS to be a reason why McCain tossed him aside right after seeing his tax forms! And it has to have been pretty bad to pick a fool like that Alaskan loudmouth over him!

Raise your hand if you think the American people ("you people") will ever see ANY tax returns from this wonderful, outstanding, business man, Mitt Robmey? If I want a loan from my local bank I have to show 3-5 years worth of tax returns. I wish all media would keep hammering on this.

    YEAH! Saw this earlier!

Cool Hand Obama: "I'll let the American people judge that"...

I cannot imagine how this man finds the Strength
to remain outwardly calm. While Secretary Clinton's statement was slow and measured, it showed the grief beneath her calm demeanor.

The president's statement in the Rose Garden (?) shortly after that with the Secretary at his side, had in my opinion a purposely flat, factual delivery, but I sensed his raw anger beneath.

Don't know how this man does it... and though I am not into hero worship as I have stated before, I admire his internal discipline which invariably shows in critical moments.

Perhaps that is why Mittens walked off the stage today with that smirk on his face that everyone keeps talking about? Perhaps he does think he has it in the bag no matter what the polls show. Remember, he said not too many days ago that he doesn't pay attention to the polls and we should be either.

Sociopathic Mitt Romney Smiles During and After Presser on Embassy Tragedies

Which brings to mind what I observed when I watched Mitt Romney’s press conference today:

    Smiling while discussing the tragedy.
Smirking while lying about Obama’s response to the tragedy.
    Lip smacking after declaring emotions.
Curled lip of contempt when blaming Obama for the embassy’s statement.
    Smiling gleefully while answering questions.

To which we can now add:

    Smiling while leaving the podium.

Mitt Romney couldn’t keep the glee off of his face this morning. It wasn’t a Bushian smirk or a Cheney smirk or even a Palin smirk. It was devoid of the inner rage of the last two, and the light ignorance of the first. Mitt Romney’s smirk is empty, cold and bottomless; it’s self-satisfied in the way of a serial smirker, but cold. So cold.

Agree Gryph, Romney's comment is right up there with McCain's "the fundamentals of the economy are strong" and then suspending his campaign to rescue the country. Oh and there's always the secret plan strategy they both had - McCain knew how to get OBL, but wouldn't tell us until he was elected, and Romney's policies, like his tax returns, are secret, too.

    violent death of Americans,
    overseas,

    diplomats (and staff),
attack by unknowns (but probable terrorists),

does a normal person interject a political attack on an opposing candidate for president?

The take-away from this debacle is that Romney's brain does not function properly. He is unfit to govern.

Some are even starting to doubt that there even was a man whom Mr. Klein called ‘Sam Bacile’ and that Mr. Klein made the movie himself. The lack of production quality demonstrates a lack of knowledge for filmmaking techniques, and with the most realistic portrayal in the trailer being a US military officer. Mr. Klein’s own military record would enable him to make that part work far better than the rest of the trailer. Eventually Mr. Klein admitted that the name is a phony, but would not divulge any further.___

If there is a good, clean count of votes---> Obama is a lock with EV
Dirty tricks in high gear now. Be Vigilant. Vote. Bring someone with you. We will need extra margin if key precincts in FL, WI, VA, CO are not monitored. Watch your individual precinct counts, work polls or be a poll watcher if you can volunteer or be appointed. This is a federal election.

Gryphen, have you noticed any suspicious traffic higher than usual from China, Dubai,UAE or higher than usual from US locations in WA, VA or WVA? You had power out a couple of days, no? Surely Sarah's not smart enough to have insiders snoop your system with power co.Insiders or "fake" power or cable personnel. Her postage bill will be released mid-October. Should be very interesting.

Couple of concerns/reminders: I'm having to tighten down network security bc of more suspicious data packets being sent (sniffing). And security exploits done via "updates" in fake McAfee and Windows Updates (spoofing). Report these to your vendor and track them if you have software. Protect your back door security if any recent power/utilities or phone/cable unplanned or unrequested service "checks" or "inspections". If it doesn't seem right, check it out. Advise your readers as well if they have sensitive database of personal or business base that can be exploited, watch to see what is being turned away by your firewall.

No one needs to be paranoid if your system is safe and if you monitor it see what updates your system is making automatically. Make sure you don't have ports open unprotected. Run an AntiVirus with auto updates and external firewall. If you make if difficult to get in, you'll be fine. Lots of online security subscriptions have lapsed though. It's not optional anymore, and I would be concerned about McAfee and Norton if you're buying or renewing. Check out reputable sites which are less shill, more savvy and are tech heavy. Ask pros and see what they use on their personal systems. They know.

Be aware of "petitions" and data harvest operations for spamming and tractkng software looking to exploit open ports. Don't encourage giving email addresses or as little personal info on public sites like Facebook. Data mining is going thru the roof and not all will be used ethically or legally.

Just a few things off my checklist and the top of my head. Part of it is the events of the last 36 hours combined with all of the Rove, Koch, int'l money trying to find a home to capture whatever edge can be exploited. Desperate times make ratfucking all the more necessary for GOP to give the appearance of a close election to drive a high turnout to local races, especially in non-urban areas.

Romney does not just want to be President, he lusts after the post in what seems to me to be an almost sexual way. He gets aroused by the power.

He has lusted for it for a decade, give or take.

Romney is craven. He will do anything and say anything to advance his cause.

His cause is Romney. There is little doubt about that.

There are only a few driving forces for most primates: self preservation, food, reproduction, material things, and status.

Romney has all of those. But I said PRIMATES.

Humans have a couple of other bits about us. Compassion for others comes to mind.

So does understanding of the conditions of others.

So does understanding that one might just be not that special.

So does understanding that he is a dick, and thinks with it.

Romney lusts after being in the highest position of power with his little head.

He cares not a fig about serving, he just wants to have sex with his fantasy, himself as President.

He is a self absorbed jerk who wants to jerk off on the sheets in the White House, just because he can buy the privilege.

Perhaps I sound a bit harsh, but why else would he do it?

This man is a dangerous narcissist with delusions of grandeur.

No wonder that only damned old Limbaugh, a misanthrope himself, and Kristol, a neocon who never saw a gun barrel that he did not want to use for masturbatory reasons, approve of him.

Romney does not think. He lusts. His penis has replaced his brain and influences all of his responses out of lust for power.

    ReplyDelete
  37. Anonymous9:57 PM

Mitt Romney is in actuality the diametric opposite of a man deserving of power. With every passing day, he is showing himself to be less deserving, less capable, less worthy. The contrast he poses to the giant of a man he hopes to replace grows steadily more stark, and as we enter the final weeks of the campaign, Romney and his angry little coterie of selfish haters look smaller every day.

Far from being entitled to the Presidency, Mitt Romney is the sort of shallow, cold, amoral and narcissistic person who should never be allowed power of any kind. Ever.

    Mitt Romney, Sociopath

    Profile of the Sociopath
This website summarizes some of the common features of descriptions of the behavior of sociopaths.

    Glibness and Superficial Charm

    Manipulative and Conning
They never recognize the rights of others and see their self-serving behaviors as permissible. They appear to be charming, yet are covertly hostile and domineering, seeing their victim as merely an instrument to be used. They may dominate and humiliate their victims.

    Grandiose Sense of Self
Feels entitled to certain things as "their right."

    Pathological Lying
Has no problem lying coolly and easily and it is almost impossible for them to be truthful on a consistent basis. Can create, and get caught up in, a complex belief about their own powers and abilities. Extremely convincing and even able to pass lie detector tests.

Lack of Remorse, Shame or Guilt
A deep seated rage, which is split off and repressed, is at their core. Does not see others around them as people, but only as targets and opportunities. Instead of friends, they have victims and accomplices who end up as victims. The end always justifies the means and they let nothing stand in their way.

    Shallow Emotions
When they show what seems to be warmth, joy, love and compassion it is more feigned than experienced and serves an ulterior motive. Outraged by insignificant matters, yet remaining unmoved and cold by what would upset a normal person. Since they are not genuine, neither are their promises.

    Incapacity for Love

    Need for Stimulation

    Poor Behavioral Controls/Impulsive Nature
Rage and abuse, alternating with small expressions of love and approval produce an addictive cycle for abuser and abused, as well as creating hopelessness in the victim. Believe they are all-powerful, all-knowing, entitled to every wish, no sense of personal boundaries, no concern for their impact on others.

    Promiscuous Sexual Behavior/Infidelity
Promiscuity, child sexual abuse, rape and sexual acting out of all sorts.

Lack of Realistic Life Plan/Parasitic Lifestyle
Tends to move around a lot or makes all encompassing promises for the future, poor work ethic but exploits others effectively.

I agree with all but the implications of sexual promiscuity. Mittens is obviously asexual: he is not a real person, he is a cardboard cutout. He can barely stand to touch his bitter and suddenly
unattractive wife but does not seem like a man interested in other women or humans, period. Even his very attractive grandchildren don't seem to move him. He is cold and inhuman. Moreover, he does not appear in any way to be capable of child exploitation. He can overpower others with his money. Otherwise, check, check and check.

Seems to describe both Sarah Palin and Mitt Romney. Hmm. Is there a pattern for GOP'ers here?

So proud to have President Obama as commander in chief. Feckless Romney's grin is too similar to Shrubs, and no, I don't miss him yet! And I don't want Romney anywhere near the nuclear code.

My husband said he' surprised Romney has so many children considering his, ahem, "Ready, fire, aim!" methods.

    LOL!!!!!!

    Once again:

President Obama: the ONLY adult in the room!

Romney's candidacy shows that money, even tons of money, can't buy a whole lot of things besides love.

He's 15 years older than the President and like Palin, still stuck with the mentality of a middle-schooler (with apologies to many in middle-school).

Remember the picture of Sarah walking away from her quit speech smirking? Who took that and where is it - totally the same look as Mitt walking away from the podium.
