An average of 50% favoured Mr Obama, with 9% for Mr Romney, in the survey of 21,797 people in 21 countries.
Only Pakistan's respondents said they would prefer to see Mr Romney win November's election.
France was the most strongly pro-Obama (72%).
The survey was conducted by GlobeScan/PIPA between 3 July and 3 September.
I'll tell you why there is such a disparity between how America views this President, and the rest of the world views him. The rest of the world does not have Fox News lying about the man 24 hours a day, every day.
Gee don't you wish we could say the same?
If we didn't have Fox News spewing propaganda for the Republicans perhaps we would not have this idiot running almost neck in neck with the President.
I mean come on!
Makes me wish they could vote.... even the RNC can't change, lose or steal on that scale.
ReplyDeleteO/T, just saw a still from Wiggy's appearance on Gretawire - she is staring to look like she's benn made up and embalmed! Please, Palin family, get help for her while you still can.
OT: does anyone here "do" intrade?
Deletehttp://www.intrade.com/v4/markets/contract/?contractId=743474
Someone tried to game it right after the debate. for rMoney.
You have to provide all kinds of ID to join.
I hope they catch the "gamer". It is interesting, I would of bought some Obama stock if they had PayPal :)
Cayman Islands is 100% for Mitt.
ReplyDeleteWhat the hell is wrong? A whole bunch of racist, ill-informed ignorants.... and the evangelical right... And Fox news....
ReplyDeleteThank you Gryph for this post, sheer genius! I totally agree with you, calling Faux a news channel is just insane, its the GOP QVC. If a product uses false advertising, its a lawsuit. Karl Rove's GPS a social tax exempt entity? The dumbing down of this country is yet another legacy of Dubya. The world sees Obama as the light of hope and change....just like we do. He is here in Las Vegas today and Michelle on Friday, I can't wait.
ReplyDeleteI agree! I watched Baldy last night and her and GVS are rabid! Both spewing shit about PBO and of course Benghazi!
DeleteWhen you think of all the idiots on fox spewing, and that lots of TV's are tuned to their shit, that's a lot of brainwashing.
Of course rMoney tried to spew FNC bullshit at the debate and look what happened? I guess those idiots didn't see that or are too stupid to connect the dots.
And Blame Sarah Palin, the pied piper of racist pigs!
Its a sad state of total racism that the whole world loves PBO and the idiots here will vote ABO "anyone but Obama" thanks to the retards at fox and stupid palin.
We lived in fucked up society to treat our POTUS like that.
Well I'm waiting for Gloria Allred to come through. She took out "The Herman Cain" and "NutMeg" in Cali. Cons are very worried what she is up to.
It is not only Faux to blame for the ignorance, the "lame stream media" is proRmoney also, too!!
DeleteSome of the disparity may be explained by the fact that Obama is much more famous than Romney. People in other countries may just be thinking that O is so much better than W that I wouldn't want to risk it with another Republican.
ReplyDeleteOn the other hand, it is fairly widely known that Mitt is a Mormon and I can tell you that outside the U.S. Mormons are considered a weird cult. They're mostky viewed as more polite Jehova's witnesses who visit less frequently or like scientologists who also believe weird stuff that is too recently made up to appear plausible even to less inquisitive minds. That may be a turn-off for many people, especially in Europe.

DeleteRomney is not liked. He has insulted every country he visited. And insulted countries he has not visited.
So the report is right.
What were the dates of Romney blindly insulting random foreign countries? This poll was taken between July3 and September3, 2012. And I'm pretty sure that some time in that frame RMoney opened his big fat Cold War mouth, I honestly have a poor time perception.
DeleteI'd say it's believable that Romney was not particularly well known worldwide when he got the nomination... but now.... After calling Greece a shithole, Spain a shithead, Russia a shitbag, Britain a shithouse and China a shit with soy sauce, I think it's pretty safe to assume that he's gotten people's attention.
It seems bizarre that Romney would do best in Kenya. The people of Kenya obviously know nothing of his racism.
ReplyDeleteYou have to know there are a lot of immigrants in Kenya.
DeleteThese fuckers go to Kenya, to "Save" them, like Sam's House goes to Haiti.
DeleteThey are helping people...but while they help them the coerce them to b/c Mormons or Christian. So their "help" comes with strings.
I can't wait until this joke of a candidate is retired as a footnote as a perennial POTUS wanna-be.
ReplyDeleteHe and Ryan are as cringe-worthy as McCain & Palin and that's saying a lot.
The large state newspapers are the pulse of where things are going, and that is resounding endorsements for President Obama from crucial swing states.
As my three year old says - 4 more years!
Why isn't the national media pushing this information for crying out loud? As an American citizen I am absolutely amazed that the asshole Romney is running neck to neck w/President Obama! (If the media is reporting this correctly?)
ReplyDeleteAnd, it is being announced that we are now the #1 oil producer in the world and Romney has campaigned saying that President Obama has stopped production during the past four years (on federal lands?).
OBAMA/BIDEN 2012 (I've already voted, have you?)
I don't believe it's that close. I think the media WANTS it to be close, so that's what they tell us. After all, most of these polls talk to 1000 people, who may or may not tell the truth. And some of the questions are rigged so that what you say may be the opposite of what you think.
ReplyDeleteThat said, I think this media blitz will get out the Dem vote, because i they were reporting Obama 10 points up, people MIGHT stay home.
Hm. That thought never actually occurred to me. I honestly have no idea what is going on with the national polls (some have romney +7, others have Obama +7), but considering today's gotta-have-drama social media/nes cycle/etc.... that's actually a pretty good theory.
DeleteI'm turning in my ballot today! :D OBAMA/BIDEN!
Romney Family Investment Ties To Voting Machine Company That Could Decide The Election Causing Concern!

The Foxhole exists in Canada. It's on our dial but for most it's a diff cable package and won't pay for it! We have had CNN forever and I can't say it's much above the Foxhole for sometime.
ReplyDeleteThe Foxhole being as it is in the states, they tried to replicate it here but it initially didn't happen. The Canadian Right finally made application and took over a station on the dial and now we can get our CDN equivalent of the Foxhole so it's not as far out there. Let's call it 'they're second and trying harder'!! Thanks America.
There are now people who talk like and walk like and act like CDN baggers. They do easily stick out and get smacked down quickly!! Canada is no where near the US 'Right' and if it appears it's got momementum -- there will be many smacking it down.
As for Pakistan being the only one like Romney -- he hasn't flown drones!! otherwise they too would be for Obama
Not only is Fox up here, we have to suffer through the political negative ads too that many in the US don't even have to see.
DeleteTo explain region I'm getting - it's Warren/Brown ads, McMahon, New York State and the Obama & Romney stuff foruced into the region.
The Republicans are doing everything they possibly can to steal the election in Ohio. Frightening. We're in for a bumpy ride...
ReplyDeleteI truly believe that this election will be as much a referendum about FOX News as it will be on the direction that America wants to go, especially if the only thing buoying Romney's numbers is the garbage it spews to its legions of intellectually anueploidic followers.
ReplyDeleteHow ironic that Pakistan prefers Romney.
ReplyDeleteAnd speaking of Romney-- you'd think after his 2008 disaster he'd try practicing expressions in the mirror before trying them out in public. This man is incapable of looking normal. He's either bored (hibernation mode, I'm sure) or is making a thinly veiled attempt to emote something he has never emoted before.
That pick makes it look like he's slowly birthing the stick that's been up his ass all election season. And (as I stated on my facebook) Ann Romney's necklace looks like a string of reject silicon boob implants.
"What is wrong with you America?"
ReplyDeleteLet Bill Maher tell you: "We are a stupid country."
Look you muricans, the lack of Fox's noise has absolutely nothing to do with the reason why the rest of the world would choose Obama in a landslide. This, on the contrary, has everything to do with the murican mindset, along with their religious belief nonsense. Don't ever try to credit Fox with problems that you need to credit yourselves with.Don't you people ever wonder why half of your middle class and poor are going to vote against their best interests? Duhhhh! It's because the Romney trashy lies are considered the americans way of course. Equality, and fraternity are lost concepts in the land of the gun.
ReplyDeleteluv from Canada.
Canada sucks
Deletewe Europeans had centuries of religious wars and wars waged in the name Of God. That is Why Romney would never have any chance to win In Europe. Same about why Europeans are considered "pussies" when it comes to export democracy using weapons. We have a 2000 years long history of violence. We think twice before using war as a mean to fix problems. Said that, and since I love American people, I hope Obama will win the ejections
ReplyDeleteThe GOP are Pro war. They just love going out and killing people that are different from themselves. Even foreign countries know this. Even; "holier than thou" Palin is Pro War. Didn't Bush say that war was good for the economy? THAT is how stupid those "christians" are. And they have the nerve to hate on Muslims.
