Obama landslide? Could happen.

Courtesy of Business Insider:

With two weeks to go before Election Day, a new Reuters/Ipsos forecast released today predicts an Electoral College landslide for President Barack Obama over Republican rival Mitt Romney.

Obama leads Romney by a point in the Reuters/Ipsos daily tracking poll, 47-46. But results from Ipsos' tracking in key swing states leads to a projection of a much bigger Electoral College victory. The Ipsos projection has Obama winning the big three swing states of Florida, Ohio and Virginia.

Ipsos' final Electoral College score: 332-206

332 to 206 electoral votes? Now THAT is some very interesting news.

Oh and by the way, that whole weird uptick for Mitt Romney over at Intrade that somebody kept bragging about in the comments section? Totally faked, most likely by some Romney supporter.

Remember, if you have confidence in your candidate, you don't feel the need to fake poll numbers or  attempt to manipulate market shares in order to convince others that your guy is NOT having his ass handed to him by his opponent.

  1. Rmoney will most likely take Florida and Virginia. Possibly Colorado too.

Pennsylvania and Ohio are the states to watch. Mostly due to voter suppression, Republican voter registration fraud and those voting machines Tagg Rmoney has some connection to.

Pa isn't in play. Oh is only in play because of the fact that Tagg owns those machines. Obama hasn't had less than a three-point lead there since summer.

I am glad Maddow is discussing how a candidate suddenly changes his policies two weeks out. I wondered how Romney might have responded if Obama asked him "Why are you saying this now?"

IMO some people have not paid attention and most are dismissive saying "they all lie" which justifies people making no effort to fact check anything.

I don't believe anything Romney says when he speaks out of both sides of his mouth for he lies he did not say the opposite thing. People want to chose the better of two faced answers. I do not believe Romney is the moderate guy he recently passed himself off as.

  3. You make some very good points here! It seems like they take a poll every time one of the candidates has a bowel movement and they really don't tell us much.

Nate Silver has Colorado as a tossup right now. I'm going to still believe it could very well go to Obama.

I also think President Obama will take Colorado because they have legalizing marijuana on the ballot and that brings out young people that vote mostly for the D's!

    2. Maddow has been running segments on how screwed up the Colorado election is - thanks to the Republican in charge of it.

May be O/T, but could this be related to trump's "big news" he was planning to announce on Wednesday?

    Mitt Romney
Court Battle Over His Involvement in Bitter Divorce

    EXCLUSIVE
Mitt Romney was heavily involved in the extremely messy divorce of one of his key supporters ... and the Boston Globe is going to court first thing Wednesday morning in an attempt to unseal the court file as well as lift a gag order ... TMZ has learned.

The divorce was between Staples co-founder Tom Stemberg and his first wife Maureen. We're told the divorce battle lasted for years and was extremely ugly.

Sources tell us Romney gave both a deposition in the divorce and testified in the trial. According to our sources, the Boston Globe got a tip that there was "juicy information about Romney" in the sealed documents.

Romney, Stemberg and Maureen were all served papers by the Globe notifying them that the paper was trying to unseal the case and lift the gag order enforced on all parties.

According to an article in the Boston Globe in 2005, Maureen received nearly 500,000 shares of Staples stock in the divorce ... but sold half her shares before the company went public.

Stemberg and Romney's business ties go deep. Bain Capital helped launch Staples ... widely seen as the first big success for Romney's venture capital company -- and Romney sat on Staples' board of directors for many years.

Our sources say Tom has filed papers opposing the Globe's motion. Romney's lawyers have not responded.

Tom has been a major Romney supporter, even speaking for five minutes at the Republican National Convention.

We're told Gloria Allred represents someone connected with the divorce and we believe -- though we have not confirmed it -- that is Maureen.

If the gag order is lifted, Maureen and others could freely talk about the divorce ... less than two weeks before the election.

YES! Hell hath no fury as a woman scorned, and Gloria Allred is a pittbull with lipstick. Imagine how much 500,000 shares were worth AFTER the buyout?

Oh, we're scared. And by tomorrow night the debate bounce will be in the polls, and Obama will be surging, right through the election. But we do understand your pathological need to pretend Romney has a chance to ruin this country as he has ruined MA and so many good businesses here at home. We will not let him outsource the USA.

I think the polls are bullshit..my phone rings all day and I don't answer (NV) so its all hype by the media...Obama is killing it. I heard the Trump thing was the Obama's almost divorced 12 years ago...yawn, who cares. Gryph there is an interesting chart on the Obama Diary showing how the world is voting, I found it interesting but I am too lame to post it here, maybe you would like. I really wish the media would hammer the tax thing....that would finish him off for good. Looks like the Freeport story is quiet again too which is a sin for those poor people.
