Just another reality check.
Seriously, could ANYBODY ELSE have done a better job?
And then you throw in the never ending obstructionism from the Republicans, and it is almost enough to convince me that Barack Obama really IS "The One."
You've posted that before and again if the Dow is valued at $8,000 or $13,000 where can I pick one up? It diminishes the entire purpose to have such a ridiculous error and entirely undermines all the other very valid points about our fantastic President. Facts matter (so does common sense)
It's an average of about 30 different corporations. It's one of the most popular indices but not one of the best. You cannot "pick one up." WTF, you think you can go to WalMart and buy a "Dow?!!?" Doofus. You CAN purchase individual shares in various corporations but you cannot invest in an indicating average.
Facts do matter. The Dow and other economic indicators are up under President Obama. Suck on that.
Hey anon 5:40, let me treat you to a cuppa decaf. Anon 4:42 was making a witty and friendly rebuke of the $ mistake in the post, even called it a "ridiculous error". Perhaps if you slowed down a little you would have seen it that way. Happens too much on here: commenters take irony too literally, and "go off" on long-time and sincere members of the IM community. So, cheers!
And, sure you can "pick up a Dow" in the form of an ETF, offered by many brokers.
I wanted to use this on my website but will not. WTF is w/ the $ sign on the Dow? That's not right! I know 'picky, picky, picky', but that's just sloppy!
I already commented on the other pages but I just had to repeat myself: I'm so flipping angry about the lying Chrysler ad. I googled that story and came up with only a handful of stories, including one from the WSJ the headline of which was rather glib and, IMO, unprofessional given the degree of deceit in the ad. Grrrr! The media just doesn't seem that into the truth.
