Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

After two days off the air Jon Stewart finally gets opportunity to weigh in on Hurricane Sandy. And Chris Christie's amazing epiphany.

"Yeah I guess he found that fucking light switch huh?"
By the way I could watch this lady all damn day long.
Everything about this terrible storm sucked except for watching her in action.
The look on Christie's face after he says "If you think I care about partisan politics, you don't know me", juxtaposed with the "Bloviating Windbag of Partisan politics" at the convention was perfect!
But I do give him credit for doing what's right for his state. Rush and Fox News have been bursting capillaries over Christie's behavior!!
I so loved Christie's smack down of douchey. I bet Christie won't be asked back anytime soon.
O/T; Is it me or has the Wicked Witch of Wasilla been really quiet lately? She usually has some nasty comment when there is a disaster/tragedy. Not that I'm complaining, just wondering if it's nip and tuck time again.
I loved the smackdown as well. I rarely watch Fox unless it's on a clip here or on some other program. Today, I was in the dentist waiting room and they were blowing fuses and making excuses for Christie. They're still hyping the conspiracy at Lybia and calling Obama's jersey visit a "photo op" to deflect from his abysmal record.
I noticed that about Baldy- she ALWAYS inserts herself into disasters, but she's been eerily silent, and I'm fine with that.
I hope that at some point Christie apologized to President Obama for saying repeatedly at campaign stops that the President wanders around the White House "looking for a clue." He knows and he knew, when he was going around saying those nasty things, that President Obama has given all of his energy and attention to serving the American people since his inauguration. The same can not be said of former president George W. Bush.
I scan the headlines at Drudge and laugh. He´s got the Far Right scared shitless and convinced Romney has a chance. Their disappointment will be a sight to behold.
For almost a week the conservative leaning RCP only updated 40% of their polls, creating the illusion that Mitt had momentum. My son swallowed this BS until I guided him to 538. Nate pulled him away from the window ledge.
Nate Silver now gives President Obama a 80.8% to MittÅ› 19.2% probability of winning and gives 303.2 electoral votes to Obama. Better yet, Sam Wang at The Princeton Election Consortium now has President Obama winning with 315 electoral votes (it was 303 two days ago). Sam was off by one electoral vote in the 2004 election and predicted the 2008 electoral vote count perfectly.
The absolute best entertainment on election day is watching Fox and listening to conservative talk radio. It´s a hoot.
Chris Christy is no doubt a major political opportunist, but he did the right thing for NJ....and that is his job. Who cares if he back tracks next wekk, or next year....the video exists. Something that our boy Willard or his little buddy Eddie really don't understand!
Fyi - as for the translator? Whatever! It got the point accross. :-)
Chris Christie did what's right for New Jersey by working with the President. He maybe a bully but he is also tough enough to take whatever shit the RWNJ's will throw at him.
Last time I saw signing like that, I slammed on the accelerator to get through a burst of gunfire. That's the last time I'm going through the drive-thru at McDonald's on the way to work. I'll live longer without that eggamuffin anyway.
Thanks for highlighting the ASL translator. ASL is a rich language with history, beauty, expression and emotion. If nothing else good comes out of this horrible disaster, at least more people have been exposed to the richness of another language.
Hey Gryphen , I know you like and respect Chris Kluwe. Here is his latest and greatest. I know it pertains to Minnesota, but I think marriage equality is something your others readers are interested in.

I roared at "I think I got the gist of it".

She's silent when she's getting some work done on her face. As soon as she heals up we'll be seeing her ugly mug again.

The Jon Stewart clip is a gem. Did you notice that his sign language "translator" used a swimming motion for the word "Manhattan".
