Chris Rock has a message for white people.

Gotta love that hair on Obama at the end of this video.

I wonder if he actually wore it like that it would get him more votes?

ENDORSEMENT: Obama has proven he can do the job

...To evaluate President Barack Obama's performance over the past four years, it's important to remember two crucial pieces of contextual information. First, Obama took office at a time when this country's financial and housing markets were on the brink of collapse. Second, he faced an unprecedented level of political opposition for nearly every key policy initiative from Republican lawmakers, exemplified by the now-famous 2010 statement from Republican Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell: “The single most important thing we want to achieve is for President Obama to be a one-term president.”

With that background in mind, one can look at Obama's accomplishments during his first term as rather impressive. The president was able to help stabilize the economy through efforts such as the federal stimulus program and the automobile industry rescue. As much as Republican nominee Mitt Romney likes to malign the state of the U.S. economy, the truth is there's been slow, steady economic growth under Obama and all signs point to that continuing. We've seen more than two full years of monthly job growth, and the stock market is up about 60 percent since Obama took office. Consumer confidence has gradually improved, too.

    O/T

Paul Ryan, Reince Priebus & Gov Scott Walker had their curtain pulled back today to expose that they are part of the organization 'Bradley Foundation' that paid for the 'anonymous' erected Billboards in Ohio and Wisconsin warning communities of color that voter fraud is illegal.

"Billboards warning communities of color in Ohio and Wisconsin that voter fraud can lead to jail time were put up by a group led by a Milwaukee-based venture capitalist and donor to Mitt Romney and the Tea Party movement, an investigation by NBC’s theGrio has found."

Story: Initially posted October 30th as to who was the 'anonymous' client behind the billboards

    http://tv.msnbc.com/2012/10/30/venture-capitalist-einhorn-behind-voter-fraud-billboards/

Video: Update on MSNBC Melissa Harris-Perry show today -- disclosing who is behind 'Bradley Foundation' -- Ryan, Priebus & Walker

    http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/46979745/#49684061

Romney & Ryan are made for each other. They both have much to hide behind those 'curtains'. Ryan's brother having worked for Romney at Bain and entered into contracts with the State of MA which are ethically questionable. Romney & Ryan are dirty players -- just like Rove et al.

Kids vote and reelect Barack Obama

We are down to the last days before adults who haven't voted already go to the polls to cast their ballots. But young people across the U.S., in a wide group of polls and mock elections, have already made their choices, and the winner was Barack Obama.
    Not scientific? Cute?

Not so, say many social scientists and observers of child and youth behavior. What engages me, as a cultural anthropologist, is thinking about where children get their first enculturation—at home, then at school, from peers, in a wide variety of religious institutions and also from the media. What is very interesting is that children and teens are not always carbon copies of their parents' perspectives, since what is learned, or heard discussed at home, is affected by other variables.

These "kids" will be our future voters, and the future looks bright for the shift away from conservatism. This is not to say that all adult voters cast ballots in lock-step with what they learned at home. We've read many pieces here over the years from those raised in very conservative homes who have moved on in adulthood to join progressive ranks.

I've been enjoying this cyber visit to schools across the nation, and elated by the intense civic engagement students are involved in. Kudos to their teachers, librarians and local school communities.

If you need a short break from intense pre-election day/night anxiety join me in taking a look at what our future voters have decided.

All of a sudden Ann's MS has flared and she's only going to do 2 events today.

Sorry -- but that's bullshit. Sympathy vote at this point -- ain't gonna work.

  9. I think Ann knows her hubby's gonna lose and has taken to her fainting couch with the vapors. She also knows that her life will be hell with the Mittster/Hittster when he loses. She looked like she was on the edge in an appearance yesterday. Of all the Romneys, I think she deserves our pity. She's paying a big price for her privileged life.

To the first statement: BS! Who do you think wears the pants in THAT family?
As for the second: Nope....First of all, Coca Cola contains caffine....a substance baned by Mormons. It is only acceptable to make a PROFIT of the sale of this items...booze & caffine....not use it.

And then of course, maybe Willard will just have to buy Ann a small country somewhere to make up for not becoming Queen of the USA. :-)

Yeah, Ann didn't look too well. She actually teared up at one point while Mitt was making his final plea for non-revenge, love of country votes.

Go for it, Ann! Put your man pants on and chug away!!!

She could drink caffeine and Alcohol, the female body has a mechanism to break that stuff down, only if it's legitimate caffeine and alcohol.

Or she could drink caffeine-free soft drinks and alcohol free wine and beer.

Ok, I'm glad I saw that video. Because of the video I've decided to vote for President Obama.

Well, really it's the video AND the fact that Obama has performed admirably under horrendous conditions and Mittens would be one of the worst presidents this country has seen since... ever.

All right. The video had nothing to do with my decision. It's just a simple comparison of everything we know about President Obama and everything we know about Mittens Rmoney. Literally, no contest.

The video was still funny, tho.

My friendly, clueless, myopic, pea - brained local Republican Committeeman sashayed up my "Obama/Biden" parade of lawnsigns flanking the walkway, knocked on my door and asked me who I was voting for while handing me a packet of pro Romney/Ryan propaganda.

Imagine his surprise when I proudly stated "Mitt Romney, of course!"
He smiled, stressed the importance of this election, and handed me some junk mail.

I closed the door and said "November 7th" while I laughed hysterically.

I have YOU to thank for that.

Loved the video and Chris Rock. All true, but I think the "mom jeans" is a little unfair. They are multi-cultural attire.

Though I do have to say, President Obama somehow makes those mom jeans work! What a Man!

What are the comedians going to do when Mitt loses? The jokes won't write themselves anymore.

  17. Love this recording. How funny is Chris Rock! Gary & I will be voting on Tuesday. President Obama will continue as president and finished what he started. All he needs is less whining, moaning & bitching that the rich need to be more rich. We are what was fondly called 'middle class'. You remember us? Right? We are the baby boomers who are sent deeper down the economic scale by every GOP that has been in the White House since Regan. I am still waiting for a share of the trickle down. Oh,.....you too?!
