Mitt Romney seriously loses his cool while discussing his Mormon faith on talk radio.

Okay we have been asking for awhile who is the REAL Mitt Romney.

Well here he is folks, and he is and ASSHOLE!

Update: I have learned that Romney did NOT know that he was being videotaped during this exchange. Essentially, just like the 47% comments, THAT is when you see the real Mitt Romney. And once you do you realize why he keeps his true personality hidden from the voters.

Update: If video won't play for you try clicking here.

  1. Here's the real Mitt under a tiny amount of stress, and he's about to blow a gasket because he's questioned about the details of only one of his many inconsistent statements or positions.

I can see why Ann is worried about his health.

Ditto -- she said his "mental health" was her main concern if he were elected.
Imagine being in a meeting and trying to present an opposing point of view. Imagine having him for a boss.
This was in a softball local radio interview, where he couldn't think fast enough to gloss over the Mormonism part of the question and move onto politics. "Who are you questioning -- me, who's been a bishop and a high-muckity-muck when you don't know nothing? I'm taking my ball and going home."

Wow. He's not very smart; just brainwashed.

I can see him coming home to Ann after a hard day of campaigning and doing a similar rant to explain to Ann what dunderheads the rest of us are. Similar or worse. Day after day.

Compare the scrutiny President Obama has been under for the past years and all the negative he has endured from the media, extreme right, racists, anti Muslims, etc. He has NEVER reacted to any of the crap except with leveled and non defensive reponses when he has even responded (which hasn't been much!).

Romney would never be able to handle it as is consistently being proven. He doesn't have the balls or temperment to be POTUS!

Wow! Mitt can take NO stress at all----even from someone who agrees with him. This man should not be anywhere near the codes. I don't think it would take too much to push him over. And for someone who isn't running as a Mormon he sure lets his Mormon faith help him shelter fifteen years of taxes.

    Dangerous lunatic.

I read an article about when he was in charge of the olympics in Salt Lake City. He was stuck in traffic, leaped out of his car and took over after screaming obsenities at the police officer trying to direct traffic. The F word flew, from this holier-than-thou religious person. I watch his wife when he is around and I seriously think she is afraid of him.

6:05 After having watched Romney all this time, I really question if he actually did the duties of a CEO. I suspect his temperment is such that he held the position in name only and the rest of the group ran Bain. He had the money, so perhaps they made him look and feel as though he was running things. I cannot imagine him having handled the problems that running a major company takes. I think the man is a lying fraud!

And, I do not think he is fit to be POTUS. Ann has already warned/hinted that he has problems.

I find him to be nothing more than a man of privilege with zero respect for others.

Interesting tape. The only time I've ever seen Romney address his religion. Also scary. He has the thinnest skin imaginable for a potential president, even thinner than John McCain's.

And then the flip-flopping just in those few minutes on abortion. While in front of the microphone Romney is trying to look pro-choice, sort of - at least with respect to non-Mormons. When he thinks he's not being recorded he states that he always behaved in an anti-choice way while governor of Massachusetts so that he is always consistent with his Mormon beliefs.

By the way, the Mormon belief thing is beyond the beyond! I don't think that most Americans have a clue at how crazy that group is.

And, as a postscript, the radio interlocutor's statement about Sen. Kennedy and Sen. Harkin is a little misleading. Pro-choice people are not also pro-abortion; they are above all pro-children and want the best for children who are living, breathing people. Mitt Romney and his "pro-life" pals don't care at all about children or their families once the child is born. No money for healthcare, no money for education, no jobs programs, no health or environmental regulations, and on and on.

What Romney does believe in is his inherent superiority over women. That part is not an act. Control of women is both his birthright and his pleasure. I had hoped this election would have given us an unscripted Romney telling us what his god has in mind for women.

I guess I'll just have to be content with Romney's consigning 47% of American's to despised whining victims.

I have a very simple way of handling the young Mormons who try their proselytizing on me. I laugh and tell them I wouldn't accept ANY religion, let alone one as ignorant and insulting and stupid as Mormonism.

Then I cut them off, either by shutting the door or walking away.

      Delete
    2. I tell them I'm a witch (which is actually true), and give them the hairy eyeball. Mean? Perhaps. But as a young, involuntarily fundamentalist child I, too, spent far too much of my time forcing religious materials on the unsuspecting and unwilling. I'm not mean or rude. But neither am I welcoming when the proselytizers are adults and arrive with the attitude that they have the answers to what "ails" me.

Are you suggesting, 7:04, that we all invite those young missionaries into our homes to hear what they have to say? No thank you. I've read up about Mormonism, so I know what it's all about and I want no part of it. Furthermore, if I was interested in getting religion (which I'm not), I'll seek it out myself.

So, when I see those young men at my door, I politely say, "no thank you," and if they won't accept it, I shut the door in their faces.

The process of proselytizing is uncomfortable, awkward, insulting, and invasive.

We have Mormon neighbors and they sent their missionaries to our house, they should know better as they have been told MANY times we are diehard atheists and my daughter was sexually abused by Mormon boys in UT at age 6. Do they stop , NO, not even with what they know to be people hostile, to the extreme, against their religion and even when they have been told a dozen times to cut it the fuck out (yes those words exactly).
Another case, a neighbor girl, age 14, went to some of their family nights out just for some company and food (her family is pretty poor). The girl moved away but the Mormon neighbors gave the missionaries in MI her name, phone number, address, and where she went to school. They never fucking let go.

Number one, Mitt's missionary days were a long time ago and he looks to be out of practice.

Number two, maybe Mitt never was a very good missionary to start with.

      Delete
    7. as an ex-Mormon, I know that a lot of these missionaries are treated like pack mules for the Church. The mission either makes or breaks their faith. I read a testimony from a return missionary who was sent abroad and when he got sick with meningitis, the mission president in the area refused to give him back his passport and just had him go to the local hospital (which was... shall we say sub-par at best).
With his weakened immune system and the poor health care/sanitation in the area, he lost 60lbs in his two years there and constantly had fevers. He wasn't told he had had meningitis until the day he left for home on the plane. The mission president told him he hadn't disclosed his illness to him because he wanted him to stay; and had prevented him from writing to his mother (a NURSE) because he was afraid if she knew his symptoms she would demand he come home.
When the missionaries come to my door, I pity them. You can always tell who is the "new guy" because he's cheery, upbeat, asks all the same questions and can't take no for an answer. His spirit hasn't been broken yet and he thinks people are dying to open the door and hear him spout off the word of God. I explain my whole family is mormon, I was born and raised and am no longer in the Church. When they (unfailingly) ask why I left, I'm quite frank: "I was abused by my family and was threatened with excommunication by the bishop if I didn't recover from anorexia."
As much as I want to tell them off, they're just sheep.

I can tell you from experience that Mormons do NOT like it when anyone questions ANY aspect of their faith. They take any question, or remark, as an attack on Mormonism. Makes you wonder what they're so afraid of, if they don't want to answer very simple, basic questions.

But in that video, I noticed that Mittens has a very practiced, and very aggressive manner of explaining the Mormon beliefs he was asked about. This is THE Bishop Mitt that threatened & harassed the married mother of three who was going to have an abortion to save her life, with the full permission of the Stake President who was a Dr. Romney all but called her a liar, gave her further insults & even went to her parents and tried to pressure them into convincing her not to have an abortion even though it would cost her her life & leave her three living children without a mother.

He's a psychopath of the worst kind.

Rachel Maddow would clean his clock w/excellent questions and "scaredy cat Mittens" is afraid of her!

Romney is a friggin mess and so is his running mate. Frauds both of them, I say!!

He'd never demean himself enough to go on a show with a (gay, Democratic) woman interviewer.

Not to mention the fact that he's no doubt terrified of being questioned by her...and rightly so!

This video is from the 08 campaign, and I believe this is a big reason why he doesn't discuss his faith anymore. I've long said that he's so used to being listened to and obeyed as a Mormon male/bishop/stake president and CEO that he can't handle anyone questioning him or telling him no. I would love to have a video of him when he finds out Barack Obama has been reelected (please, please, PLEASE let it happen!).

You can tell he was a CEO and leader in his church. His words should be taken over anyone elses - so he thinks. He has zero respect for others. He interrupts constantly, gets up like he is leaving when he isn't and on and on. If I'd have worked for this guy I'd have quit quickly!

He NEVER should be voted into the White House. Can you imagine him w/the heads of state in Europe, etc.? President Obama has earned their respect already (except for Israel and don't forget that Romney is personal friends w/their head!) and Romney would come in and totally screw things up!

What an asshole and jerk - both Romney and Ryan!

I watched this video yesterday and feel it should go viral as it shows the real side of Romney when he thinks he's off camera. This guy is not a cool and calm person that should ever see the doorstep of the whitehouse. He shows a very controlling manner and quite frankly it scares the crap out of me. Especially when it comes down to foreign affairs. With confirmation from his wife and sons that he needs to be cooled down and that she is the one that has to do it, it should be quite frightening to Americans that he could be commander in charge.

I sure hope Bill Maher has some fun with this video tonight. Please Gryph, I don't get HBO so can you post a link tomorrow if he should happen to bring this up in his show. Thanks :)

What a huffy little pissant! How DARE anyone question him or take him to task, he is the tyranical boss we all shudder to find ourselves facing. A pussy bully, a thin-skinned viper, and hissyfit throwing, pathetically small man who has coasted on his false life narrative his entire life, until he hit the national spotlight and slowly but surely he is being revealed for the fraud that he is.

Why does nobody, including people on this blog, refer to him by his legal name, Willard? I notice the right wing nuts all call President Obama, "Barack Hussein Obama," but none of them refer to Romney as Willard Mitt Romney. After all, Willard is his name.

Question: when Jeebus rules mankind from Missouri - which coincidentally enough is where I would choose to rule from under similar circumstances - will it be from St. Louis - where He'll certainly enjoy the wonderful BBQ tradition and many jazz venues - or from Branson - which has a more casual lifestyle, great dinner theater, and the amazing violinist Shoji Tabuchi?

I guess, being Jeebus, He could have a nice ranch kind of place - say... 30-40 acres - near Branson and also a sophisticated pied-à-terre in STL or even Chicago for when He tires of country living.

Now that I think of it, what He really needs is a great real estate agent! But, as Mittens accurately points out, He'll have a thousand years to work out the details... So He's got that going for Him.

Did you read what your wrote before hitting publish? Perhaps you didn't intend to declare your pride in Mittens for NOT discussing his faith whilst inexplicably wishing someone WOULD ask President Obama about his. Over at the defunct Immoral Minority blog some pesky librul commentarians would refer to this as Palinesque Logic. Or typical conservative hypocrisy. Or just dumb.
