It may seem somewhat spiteful to take such glee in Allen West's long overdue concession, but let's fact it the guy totally deserves it!I have been fairly liberal with my usage of the term "douchebag" but if ANYBODY deserves the label it is this ginormous asshole.

Martin was completely justified in his glee; I did a freaking tap dance when dickhead lost. West is about as nuts as it gets in the GOP and that is really saying a lot.

ReplyDeleteNo, that's not true. Members who participated in the Congressional pension system are vested after five (5) years of service. A full pension is available to Members 62 years of age with 5 years of service; 50 years or older with 20 years of service; or 25 years of service at any age.

I do believe West will receive all his benefits forever...maybe someone knows for sure. I agree he was a major nut, but I think the actual teaparty base is just going to die, the majority is old and white. We need the young to change the GOP party, as we do need 2 parties...just not right now. I am always hopeful a 3rd party would rise, a green party.

If West was an ordinary Field Artilleryman, it's hard to imagine that he had a very high security clearance. Did he mention what it was he did in the Army that required him to have, in his words, a security clearance higher than the president.

I cannot believe the race was that close! What is wrong w/people in Florida that voted for this asshole? Thank God he finally accepted his defeat! Doesn't the jerk still obtain benefits from the government even though he only served one term? If he does, that is pure bull and the rules should be changed.
