I don't know, sometimes I am just a sucker for sentimentality.
Besides I was impressed with how the President really seemed interested in their story, and also seemed to take some pride in having played a part in their relationship.
Altogether now, "AWWW!"
I LOVE this man!!!!!
ReplyDeleteAw, that was so sweet. I am just so sentimental.
ReplyDeletePresident Obama is a real person. He took on the job, hired by us the people, he thinks of us as his "employer" = unlike certain people who think of the presidency as a title, or a power trip.
ReplyDeleteWe are beyond lucky to have President Obama leading our country.
As his 2008 motto says: "Change will not come if we wait for some other person or some other time. We are the ones we've been waiting for. We are the change that we seek." Barack Obama
He thinks of us as a team, no holier than thou attitude or division. We have his back, and he has ours.
LOVE our president. Let's work on winning the 2014 election, and not make it another disastrous 2010. There is still so much work to do. Change doesn't come easy.
I have a refrigerator magnet that says that I'm a member of the president's kitchen cabinet! I'm very proud of the magnet and of our president.
DeleteThe annoying pundit columns by the likes of Maureen Dowd about how aloof President Obama is are simply fiction. He is the warmest person we've ever had as president. I just love him.

Love POTUS's remark "...put a ring on it..." and his proud show of his own ring. There was no speech written or any rehearsal for this clip, just a spontaneous display of human affection among people.
ReplyDeleteDude, the POTUS with the MOSTUS is a busy man, wrap it up for crying out loud (but that was cool.)

ReplyDeleteLove Love Love our President!!!!
ReplyDeleteSweet and memorable moment for this couple. Our president is such a genuine person.
ReplyDeletealso loved the KU Jayhawk poster in the background.
I also noticed the KU Jayhawk - my husband and I met in graduate school at KU.

Hey how can you not love Obama.
ReplyDeleteJust imagine Willard stiffening up when the prospective bridegroom mentioned waking up with his sweetheart and preparing toast and coffee ("Sinners!").
ReplyDeleteI can't imagine Willard spending a whole five minutes genuinely engrossed in someone else's story.
How I love our President!
I love it! Our President is so cool. They're both nervous and excited and the President took the time to share in their joy.
ReplyDeleteImagine, years from now, them showing this clip to their kids?
Best Wishes to the new couple!
