Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey
That's how atheists are treated up there in Nazi-land? Wow! I have honestly never seen or heard someone bash an atheist. I live in a very conservative, military town, but I have never heard any atheist bashing even though we have more churches than stores.
That's sad and beyond hypocritical. That kind of hypocrisy is why I stopped going to church. Oh I still believe, but I also believe that everyone is free to choose their own path as well. I don't choose my friends based on whether or not they believe in a deity.
Yep! That's about right. And it's also what I expect this next family get-together when I give them all a paper enumerating my personal wishes concerning things like who is going to make decisions if I have an accident and can''t make those decisions; and who is going to be allowed to "view" my bod if I croak (no one); AND THAT I DO NOT WANT ANY SERVICES BECAUSE I DON'T BELIEVE.
I think my sister-in-law is the one going to go batshit crazy over that one. She's one of those Xtians, a Methodist one, no less. I expect to be banned from their house - not that I ever go there anyway!
So think about me and laugh with this picture in mind come christmas!
Love it, but they'd probably reverse the two panels, you know, to show that the bad, evil, sinful, hedonistic, not very nice atheist did something to provoke "a conversion opportunity".
Freedom From Religion Foundation. People, look it up. Recently they helped put atheist signs on Anchorage People Mover busses. I'm happy just knowing I'm not alone.

Congratulations on NOT being an Xtian!
DeleteYou've never seen it because, in a town like yours, atheists wouldn't dare come out.

PS: I plan on being a LOT nicer than she WILL be!
Love. Understanding. Compassion. Forgiveness. Tolerance.
Oh! And Peace. Please?
Every atheist coming out will encourage another. Stand up and be counted people. You are not alone. It's the next civil right. This bears repeating.
ReplyDeletethe only thing for certain sure is change. we sure are seeing a lot of it lately. hopefully mostly for the good.
