President and First Lady explain what was behind the most tweeted picture in history.

I am not a fan of Barbara Walters but I thought this was a genuinely sweet moment between the President and Mrs. Obama.

I sometimes think that without her, he might simply crumble under the weight of his job.

You know I am one of those people who is always impressed by relationships like this. To me it is almost like a magic trick for someone to believe they found true love and to still know twenty, thirty, or even fifty years later that they were right.

I too share your sentiments. You just know when the connection is there. They are the lucky ones who recognize a true partner. It makes me smile to see this picture.

I too am impressed by the love they share. My man, well, we have lots in common and can share a lively and intelligent debate with each other, but sometimes, I think I wear him out and he doesn't always feel the love but merely tolerates me. He thinks I'm full of hate, and I think he's full of compromise. Whaddya do?

Sledneck voters, thanks! Carly Davis is now ahead of Joey Junker 3707 to 3409!

I,too, have been so impressed with the Obama family. We really have never seen a family like this in the White House for many years. I love how they work together and support each other and really watch out for their girls' experience while living in that bubble. I hope they are always able to maintain what they have but we all know life can change as we grow and evolve throughout our lives. We have been married 45 years and we are still waiting to see if it will last. We certainly are not the same people we married. Fortunately, we like the people we have become.

Thank God President Obama has Michelle as his wife. She supports and loves him there is no doubt.

The Republicans are so damned hateful daily - hourly - ever since he was elected the first time -I'm sure Michelle utters 'fuck them' every night! Probably makes our wonderful, steady, smart President smile and agree. I'm sure he knows there are many of us out there supporting him too and that we all say 'fuck them' in a huge chorus.

Vote the Republicans out of office next election cycle - especially the likes of McConnell and Boehner. What friggin' jerks!

I think their relationship goes beyond a deep love, they are true friends (which is harder) and they simply adore each other. It is easy to see just in their body language and eye contact..so sexy after 20 years. Teenage girls are as a rule aliens, but there is so much physical contact and respect, those daughters are incredible and so beautiful. They remind me of John and Caroline, how much they respected Jackie. I too agree with the strength of that family bond is what keeps Obama going. Michelle remembers all too well the struggles of her wonderful father and sees the deep belief in her husband to make life better for the majority, esp women....his daughters. She is an amazing, beautiful woman inside and out and he knows he hit the lottery. Isn't that what really makes the haters crazy....plus they are highly educated, personable, healthy, and black.
We have the perfect storm of hate.

I'm not much of a "babwah" fan, either. She usually has a dumb question that comes off as being smart, only because the person answering came up with something witty.
We've been fortunate, we just squeaked past our 25th and it's still a mystery to both of us how it happened. Where does time go?
I haven't seen a first couple so genuinely in love as Barack and Michele. When he said "I Love My Wife", you could tell he meant it. There wasn't a second of hesitation. That's rare.

A lovely family! The girls reflect it too. And credit to the grandma--we moms know how much a dedicated grandma means to family health.

  9. I think a successful marriage, like a chair, needs four legs to keep it steady. Love, respect, trust and laughter. And all of those aspects need to be equally strong.

Why it is so hard to find that with a person is something I don't understand.

It just goes directly to their thighs.
