Bill Fulton answers your questions.

As promised here is FBI informant Bill Fulton's response to your questions.

Courtesy of 2emptynest: First of all, thank you, Mr. Fulton, for doing our country a great service. We need people like you infiltrating these groups to expose these people for what they truly are and many thanks to Gryphen for his forum and his unending search for the truth. My question is a general one - do you think that there is a connection, or any centralized organization, between the militia groups found in various states? Do you think that the current threats of gun control will make them more radical?

Fulton: Have you heard of the internet?  Not to be flip but of course they use social media, just like the rest of us.

And to your second question, yes I do think the talk of increased gun control makes them more radical. No doubt about it.

Courtesy of Deb:  Since the issue of gun control is now front and center of our national debate, I do hope this is one of the questions that you will take and elaborate on. What has been the general consensus among your colleagues and yourself as to what they are hearing or what concerns them if some measure of gun control is passed? What is being discussed in regards to how these militia groups might respond if some gun control laws are passed? Personally, what type of gun control laws, if any, would you like to see pass?

Fulton: In my view again the wrong question is being asked, gun control is a symptom of a much larger issue.

The one thing that nobody seems to be looking at here is that maybe we need to sit down like adults raise the debate a little and have a serious discussion on weather or not the Constitution as written is working anymore. Gun Control is a small part of that. Does the 2nd amendment guarantee a right to own guns I believe yes. Do we need the second amendment anymore is a question that we should be asking, and people much smarter than myself need to be debating.

While were at it we should debate all of it. We are not a country where only rich, educated, white, male, land owners get to vote and hold office anymore. Maybe we need to sit down and figure out if we should allow the country to be run by the document those men produced. I have sworn an oath to defend the Constitution and in no way am I saying we should just toss it away. What I am suggesting is that it may be time for all of us to grow up a little and just deal with it.

I don't know if that's possible since we live in a world where most of our information is spoon fed to us in 30 second sound bites by networks we choose to watch because they agree with our point of view.

As for the second part of your question, I can't really discuss that.

And as to the last, I refer you to the first part of my answer.

Courtesy of Gles:  Thanks for doing this interview, both you and Jesse. Can you discern the difference between a really serious threat as opposed to someone that is a blowhard or is that left up to superiors? I ask this because there may be a time when instincts dictate there is no time to wait for backup. Are you empowered to act?

Fulton: I don't actually identify threats. That is the job of my supervisors, though I can bring them information and leave it up to them to decide if it is actionable.

And yes I am allowed to act in order to defend myself.

Courtesy of Anonymous 6:06: Did you ever meet Todd? Is he as wimpy in person, as he appears in interviews?

Fulton: I did meet Todd socially many times. However I am not going to lower myself to making any disparaging comments about the man. He is who he is.

Courtesy of Katie Annie Oakley: Q for Mr. Fulton: Did you get the sense or have first-hand knowledge that Schaeffer Cox and Sarah Palin dealt directly with each other, that he took first-person direction from her or was everything handled through intermediaries, such as Frank Bailey, Joe Miller, etc.?

OR:

Did you get the sense or have first-hand knowledge that Norm Olson and / or Ray Southwell or other ACM members and Sarah Palin dealt directly with each other, that he / they took first-person direction from her or was everything handled through intermediaries, such as Frank Bailey, Joe Miller or Schaeffer Cox, etc.?

Fulton: I do not have any knowledge that Sarah Palin and Schaeffer Cox ever met personally, and as far as I know Palin always used intermediaries.

Courtesy of Thanks a Bunch John: Bill, a sign appeared on the door of DropZone after the hand-cuffing incident reading:

IF YOU'RE JUST LOOKING JUST GO SOMEPLACE ELSE WE ARE NOT A FUCKING MUSEUM IF YOU ACT AS SUCH YOU WILL BE ASKED TO LEAVE

WE SELL TACTICAL AND MILITARY EQUIPMENT IF YOU HAVE ISSUES WITH KILLING PEOPLE PROFANITY OR CONSERVATIVE GUN LOVING PARANOID TEA PARTY ZOMBIE HUNTERS TURN AROUND AND GO CRAWL BACK IN YOUR PEACE AND LOVE HOLE

THE MANAGEMENT DROPZONE

Were you responsible for that, if not who was?

Was it to appease the militants you were trying to fool - and didn't they realize it would further cement their image as unhinged?

I never forgot that sign... "If you have issues with killing people.." Seriously?

Thanks, Laurie

Fulton: To be blunt, yes I authored that sign. And I take full responsibility for what it said, and how it was said.

However by way of explanation you should know that after the Hopfinger incident we got a lot of crazies coming in and threatening my employees and disrupting our ability to conduct our business. I just didn't feel we needed to deal with that any more, and thought the sign might dissuade people from just walking in off the streets and being assholes. Which it did.

I do regret that I put the sign up now of course, but keep in mind I was getting hit pretty hard back then and I was not exactly in a kind and generous frame of mind.

It should be noted that the sign did nothing to scare away my regular clients, or people who were actually interested in making a purchase. In fact they loved it.

Courtesy of Anonymous 9:04: Had Bill ever heard of any prostitution ring around AK and was this ever discussed by those he worked with during his undercover time? Did Bill feel like he could trust local police and did he have a good rapport with them? Did Bill ever hear of any members of local churches that had any affiliations with the militia-types he hung around?

Fulton? Of course I heard of prostitution rings, this is Alaska!  Did I ever hear that Todd Palin was involved in any of them? No.

Yes I we had a good rapport with the police. My bounty hunting job required that I interact cooperatively with the police. No problems to speak of.

Was the militia affiliated with any churches? No not really. Schaeffer's dad was a Baptist minister and Norm Olsen runs a church of some kind, but there was no direct correlation between the churches and any militias.

Courtesy of Anonymous 9:46:  Did Bill Fulton feel that the ADN was in anyone's pocket? I know he can't speculate, but were the people he dealt with paranoid about AK media? Or did they feel it was under their control?

Fulton: No, not to my knowledge. I think the news outlets have their own agenda directed by their owners desire to make a profit, but I don't think anybody was bought off if that's what you're asking me.

Courtesy of TomandLou:  Bill in your opinion are the militias in Alaska a threat to the rest of the Country. And if so on a scale of one to ten how much of a threat and in what way?

Fulton: Well not all militias are created equal. The ones that organize to protect their families and communities are all right in my book, it is only when they threaten to kill law enforcement agents that they become a problem.

However for those militias that do have government overthrow on their to do list, yes I think that they were encouraged by Shaeffer Cox and probably see what happened to him as a reinforcement of their paranoid view that the government fears them and wants to lock them all up.

Let me add that we did not go after Schaeffer Cox because he was a member of a militia, we went after him because of what he was planning to do with that militia.

Courtesy of Anonymous 12:04: Is Sarah and Todd Palin known to be underhanded people? Did Sarah and Todd have others do their dirty work to keep their hands clean?

Fulton: Read Bailey's book.

Courtesy of Anonymous 12:13: Right now all Alaskan politicians seems crooked. Who can be trusted?

Fulton: I trust nobody who calls themselves a politician. To put it in simple terms.

Courtesy of Anonymous 8:02 PM:

Is there any truth to this document ?  "As the G4 he wrote off numerous FLIPL’s (Financial Liability Investigation for Property Loss) and rubber stamped charges against soldiers, without proper investigations and never took into account that all facility Security was compromised with COL D***** possessing access to secured equipment around the state.

Domestic Terrorists (Sovereign Citizens/Shaffer Cox) were caught with what seems to be many of our missing items." "Arranged for Sensitive Property to be stolen for Domestic Terrorists (Sovereign Citizens)."

"Has spoken of support for the “Sovereign Citizens” member that have been arrested for attempts to kidnap and kill a Federal Judge and State Troopers.

They were caught with stolen military property that looks like a shopping list of items missing from the AKARNG"

Just curious, thanks Bill !

Fulton:I know LTC(RET) Blaylock and have for years. Although there are a few correct pieces of information in that document it was neither written nor endorsed by LTC(RET) Blaylock they didn’t even get his rank right. There is absolutely no connection between either the active duty Army or the Alaska National Guard to the Schaeffer Cox Case. This is somebody’s attempt to discredit the National Guard but they were too afraid to put their name on it because they knew it was false so they used Ken. Who ever produced this document and posted it on the internet is just as bad as those people in the document they're accusing of crimes. This document has affected my good friend (his name and phone number are on it), and misinforms the public as to certain events that may have transpired.

Gryphen: Well that is the last of the questions. Any last words you would like to say to wrap this up Bill?

Well to sum up I don't really know the Palins that well personally and only had brief interactions with them over the years. I know that disappoints some of your visitors, but there you have it.

Over all I think Alaska is a great place with some truly unfortunate people in positions of power, but that is likely true in many places.

I really appreciate the thoughtful questions that all of your visitors provided Gryph as well as the opportunity to set the record straight. So thanks for helping to put this together.

You're not so bad for a lefty loon.

Gryphen; Yeah thanks your not such a bad guy yourself, You know for a jack booted thug.

P.S. Last night, after I finished typing this out for today, I was alerted to the fact that even though Bill had been rather careful not to define ALL militias by the behaviors of Schaeffer Cox. there were those in the Alaska militia groups that were far less magnanimous toward him.

This from an interview with Norm Olsen, who helped found the Alaska Citizens Militia, with the LA Times:

A day earlier, Olson, who is based on Alaska's Kenai Peninsula, posted a tongue-in-cheek reference to Fulton, who has left Alaska because of fear of reprisals for his FBI work.

"FBI paid informant, Bill Fulton, was found dead last night from what sources say appears to be an assassination. His hands were bound and a hood was placed over his head. Militia literature was left near the body with a note scribbled, 'payback's a bitch,'" Olson wrote in a post on his organization's Web forum.

"Bill Fulton is very much alive NOW, but he is a man without a country. He was used by the FBI to wreck Joe Miller's bid for the Alaska Senate and has turned traitor to the militia/patriot cause," Olson went on.

The main topic of discussion on the Alaska Citizens Militia forum was suspicions that Fulton was likely to be offed not by a vengeful militia member but by the FBI, as a way of making the militia movement look bad.

"His cover has been blown and now he is telling tales about his involvement with the FBI and how he cooperated with them and has also divulged information about FBI operations and informants. That is a no-no," Olson wrote. "He is of no further use to the FBI EXCEPT FOR THE FACT THAT HIS DEATH WILL BE PINNED ON THE MILITIA AS AN ACT OF REPRISAL. When his miserable carcass is found, the feds will conclude that the militia whacked him. But it won't [investigate] too far."

Other forum members appeared to agree this was indeed a possibility.

"If he does get whacked it will be used to label Alaska militia men and women as dangerous terrorists. I would not put it past the FBI to grease him themselves in order to set up a false flag against the patriot movement up here," one forum member wrote.

"No doubt," said another.

Olson went on: "They'll paint the militia much like the mafia: you can [get] out, leave feet first. They can use his 'passing' as a message to anyone who affiliates with the militia that they are the savages that the central government paints us out to be."

Yeah, gee no paranoia there!

Now Norm Olsen (Pictured above and to the right standing next to Ray Southwell, the other founding member of the Alaska Citizens Militia.) is tough talking, cry baby who has a history of agitating people and then running away when they get into trouble with the law. (Think Timothy McVeigh.)

He is an agitator who is jealous of all of the attention that Schaeffer Cox has received, but at the same time terrified that the Feds might someday take his Yosemite Sam style rhetoric seriously.

Essentially he is a camouflage covered cream puff, but he is living in an area where he is surrounded by paranoid anti-social types who might actually believe he is somebody worth listening to, and that makes him dangerous.

Fulton was smart to leave Alaska.

Thanks for answering those questions, Bill.

But, I'm trying to find out just from whom militias are protecting their families and communities.

Every militia I've read about seems to consist of grown men playing dress up and playing army like my brother did when he was 7 years old. Add in the bravado and the paranoid rhetoric, and is it any wonder they attract men like Cox?

Jesse, when someone asks a question of Mr. Bill it would be better to just let him answer or ignore it. It makes it look like you're really the one doing the answering otherwise and you don't want everybody thinking that!

    3. Well there is little chance that Bill is going to go through the comments providing answers, so since he and I had discussed this topic rather extensively I felt qualified to answer on his behalf.

But please feel free to give me advice on how to run my blog.

Norm Olson is a very dangerous person, in way he incites violence from others. His is the kind of "courage" that Palin uses. Talk big, make a big stink, and get others to do the actual work for you and then deny, deny, deny that your actions had anything to do with it.

Have you ever met Norm Olson? Probably not. I have, he is from the same area of Alaska. He has never tried to get me to be violent towards anyone much less the government. His biggest gripe is he wants them to follow the Constitution.

Bill the Drop Zone Troll is a different matter. He offered to sell me hand grenades over the phone. Yup. I'd put my hand on the Bible and swear to it. I have witnesses. Somehow he was the business that took delivery of a connex of supplies my church ordered. I called to make arrangements to pick up my order. Without even ever meeting me the guy offered me flash band grenades which are illegal. He trapped the others with the same exact ploy. He offered to sell them hand grenades dummied up by the feds.Only this grandma knew better and called around to find out who he was. Another respectable gun dealer said he was trouble and everyone knew it and to stay away. A few weeks later the Cox story broke. He hid like a baby for months.

And, LTC Blaylock freely says that he had that female, pregnant troop come to him and ask for help. He was told to stand down and she was murdered a few days later. He refused to shut up and they cashiered him out of the Army. They buried her at Ft Richardson against her families wishes and without a complete autopsy in violation of Alaska law. She witnessed (supposedly narcotics) being stolen and was told to go along or be killed.

But listen to Bill Fulton. The US Army Alaska has been dirty for years. Anyone telling you otherwise is either ignorant or a stooge

It's mighty convenient for Olsen to post that and then claim any act of violence again Bill would be the FBI framing the militia. It kinds of lets them off the hook, at least publicly, for anything that might happen, doesn't it?

Another question for Bill: Now that Obama has decided that it's necessary for more armed guards around schools, will your NRA type friends go along with it. It should be noted that 55% of the American people think this is necessary. Also, with Obama supporting it, it appears that it could be supported by both sides now. Would you support that considering that it may be the only new gun laws that get passed by congress?

  10. Bill Fulton's comments re: the Constitution reveal his misunderstanding and non-understanding of how it works. Thanks to the amending process, it is a living document that serves to guide government. The Second Amendment should most definitely be under discussion, not the document as a whole.

People in favor of getting rid of the Constitution should be considered traitors; there's no way around that.

  11. I got my question answered; OK, what it tells me is this:

Palin has a whole TRIBE of people that can be flipped into giving testimony against her in exchange for Immunity For Prosecution.

All the feds need to do is find ONE PERSON - just ONE - who has "other crimes" they can face serious jail time on, and if they give testimony against her they get a ticket out of Alaska - for good.

So many contestants to choose from!!

That makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside.

Fulton did do a courageous thing in helping bring down Cox. I respect him for that but otherwise I don't care for his attitude or most of his opinions. The enemy of one's enemy isn't necessarily one's friend.

Fulton lied in his answer to the question about Todd Palin and prostitutes. He also lied about his comradre with the police in Alaska. You should have asked him if he was ever offered any prostitutes. He basically told you that Bailey did everything for Sarah and Todd and probably Miller too. He even told us to read Bailey's book. Did you ask if he had read Tripp's book? If you looked at legal paperwork some of the law enforcement people he interacted with are the same people Tripp had sexual relations with.
