In honor of "Gun Appreciation Day" which is today. Take a moment to appreciate these people and their guns.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

On January 19, our nation will have a new holiday to celebrate. Normally, we’d have the Hallmark corporation to thank for this, but this time there is a very different force behind the movement: the American gun lobby. That’s right, it’s time for the first annual “Gun Appreciation Day,” and instead of buying chocolates and flowers to mark the occasion, this holiday encourages you to buy -- you guessed it --- more guns!

In honor of this auspicious occasion, we've put together this collection of idiotic dangerous great moments in second amendment rights.

Yeah, what will keep America safer is to allow more of these disphits to have weapons.

Makes perfect sense.

    Disphits? LOL

Three hurt in firearm accident at North Carolina gun show
(Reuters) - Three people including a retired sheriff's deputy were wounded on Saturday at a gun show in North Carolina when a 12-gauge shotgun accidentally discharged as its owner was taking it out of its case, state officials said.

    1. Leave it to the morons to shoot themselves in the dick with their own special self-boobytrappin' 12-gauge shotgun right out of the case. They just love giving these to one another as gag gifts.

Crap! That video was too funny!
Bunch of dipshits who don't know how to use guns (like the payme family)
      I was LMAO!
      Funny shit from stupid people!

  4. UPDATED: 5 People Shot At 3 Different Gun Shows On Gun Appreciation Day

    1. And to think my first exposure to the NRA was in a GUN SAFETY class that my Dad insisted I attend before I could shoot my new shotgun I got for my birthday when I turned 10, In fact, to make his point just how serious he was about safety and to make me want to sign up for the class ASAP, he wouldn't even let me HOLD the gun until I did the class first and PROVED that I was just as serious about safety. This was not a toy. I got the point that he was serious about how to handle a weapon, and some things you never forget without having to kill or hurt an innocent bystander first.

Apparently, while I've progressed until I almost as old as dirt (Sarah's age plus a couple, actually, although I look a hell of a lot better, healthier and happier than the ex-half-term Quitter...) the NRA has changed. And its most vocal supporters never took one of those Safety First Gun Handling classes. It figures.

They're so worried that the POTUS is going to come and take their stinkin' guns that they don't even know the basics like to NEVER store a gun loaded. And there ARE ways to check for that, if I recall correctly from that class 40 years ago. And I do. I'm just being snarky, because these gun nuts don't get it. You have to respect a tool or a weapon that can kill or main you or another person, but YOU'LL NEVER HAVE RESPECT FOR A GUN UNTIL YOU HAVE RESPECT FOR YOURSELF AND OTHERS.

Sorry to yell, but I mean it. Forty years later, the NRA is as disgraceful as its worst examples of sportsmen/women, although most women (excluding Sarah) seem to be less about showing off their bad-ass penis-substitutes rifles/guns and more serious about safety, in my experience.

But these brokedicks taking their semi-s to the fucking mall, I'm going to call them out if I ever see them doing stupid shit, and if they're stupid enough to take a potshot at me, so be it. I'll be just as respectful of them as they are for themselves, but you don't use a gun to bully or to try to make a point. If their daddy never took the time to teach them how to handle a gun safely, I'll take a few minutes to go over the basics. Maybe they're just ignorant, but nobody's parents, including their own, should have to bury a loved one because of their ignorance. I NEVER saw a gun in our house while growing up, and never saw one at my grandadfy's house at all, and I never really thought about all those pics I'd seen of him with trophy bucks, geese, pheasants, ducks, rabbits, everything. But I had no idea he had the collection of guns that he had because he kept them stored and I didn't see the collection until he passed away. He was a REAL gun nut, and he used the shit out of his because they lived in the country. Whatever, I'm preaching to the choir at this point. Thanks for keeping keeping this defunct site on life support, Jesse. Im probably not as much of a bleeding heart librul as you are, but at the rate I'm progressing, I'll pass you before the next mid-terms. Take care, all.

What's really interesting about these DSs is that the 2nd amendment was about protecting the NATION from outside forces; while these jerks are only interested in rpotecting themselves from the big bad government that maintains their roads, sewers, water purity, an army big enough to be a small country on its own, and even protects these crackpots from themselves.

    I seeeeeeee by your outfit that you are a cowboy;

Oh yeah: now I feel a LOT safer.

The NRA: leaving no kindergartner standing.

That last guy is hilarious,.. acting so tough, so sick, and then he's whining about HIS MOM, and how much trouble he's in..

It's obvious that most of these idiots have never had 1 minute of basic weapons training.

Personally, I think everyone should complete a mandatory safety training and get a license to have small arms.

We require licenses and training for cars, boats, and even hunting , but
anyone can march into a gun shop and buy a .50 caliber Desert Eagle with zero training or experience.

My father taught me these 5 points when I was about 12.

    1) Treat all firearms as if they are loaded, at all times, even if when field stripped on the bench.

    2) Never point a firearm at anything you don't intend to shoot.

    3) The Safety should always be on when not actively shooting, except in attack mode

    4) When holding any weapon, never place your finger on the trigger. Only use finger on trigger in attack mode.

    5) Know your weapon. Clean it after every use. Practice til you can handle it safely with eyes closed. Lock weapons up in safes or use trigger locks after usage.

I laughed so hard at the idiot who said "Dang! My mom's going to kill me!" after his gun went off in his room!

Yeah, Junior, I think you're right! And I bet she'll use a gun!

Can we have a "Human Appreciation Day?"???

When one thinks like a hammer, all they see are nails.

The recent news about guns going off at gun shows and a shooting at a MLK parade further the insanity of America's gun culture.

May I propose a letter writing or email campaign to Rupert Murdoch who tweeted an anti-gun message after SAndy Hook but whose Fox News personalities promote a guns for all mentality ( He owns the blasted place, can't he do something about the insanity that his people are promoting?!

Contact information for News Corp., including Ruperty Murdoch can be found here:

It's a wonder this country ranks as high as 37th in education.

I would have put it much, much lower.
