Jon Stewart's EPIC takedown of those who are opposed to gun control. Must see!
The second video kept stopping for me around 2:44 time. Yes he is good, but the 2nd Amendment crowd isn't interested. Love Jon's common sense. Wish the NRA did. Fear is not common sense.
If you did a Top 10 list of opening segments of the show -- this would be one. In fact it would be in a Top 5 list!!
Jon can still knock it out of the park when he's not at 100% himself -- too bad many of those in DC bat 0% even when their healthy courtesy of the gold plated, taxpayer healthcare coverage they have.
O/T Video of killer whales trapped by ice in northern Quebec (at eastern top part of Hudson Bay) posted by CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation -- not the Corrupt Bastards Club!!!) on Huff Canada.
Their activity is unreal. The mayor of the small village has called for an icebreaker.
Gee, that will make the neighbor who has had a lawn chair in his front yard with a plasticized photo of Josef Stalin taped to the back ever since the election. If I were to meet this neighbor I'd love to ask him (politely, of course) exactly what has happened to him personally in the last four years to make him so sure that President Obama is synonymous with Stalin? Have any Black Marias arrived late at night to spirit away family members? And so on. Beaglemom
I'm glad to see that Mr Obama and Mr Biden are serious about tightening up access to some types of assault weapons and clips, but I am concerned.
The gun crowd runs the gamut from intelligent and responsible, all the way down to the nuts that believe Jesus wants them to shoot commies, Muslims, and any gubbermint elites that get in their way.
If I was advising President Obama on this matter, I would strongly counsel him not to try and ban assault weapons and large clips with an Executive order.
This will stir up the crazies like nothing else. If you want a really good idea of how big this could be, just check out some of the lead articles and wnd.com or other right wing spots.
Knowing when and how to pick your fights is something that the Prez is pretty good at, but there are millions of angry gun folks who view this as a direct attack on their religion.
We could actually see civil unrest and murder of police or national guard as a result.
