Kyle Massey settles lawsuit against producers of "Life's a Tripp."

Courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter:

The lawsuit was brought by Massey, his mother and brothers, in June against Associated Television International and others responsible for the Lifetime series, Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp.

The Masseys alleged to have become friendly with Bristol Palin through mutual participation on ABC's Dancing with the Stars.

According to the original complaint, in 2010, the Masseys created a written half-hour TV series featuring the two families, entitled Bristol-ogy 101. The treatment had the families living together near Palin's home in Alaska, attending college while raising Tripp, who became famous when Sarah Palin was tabbed as John McCain's running mate during the 2008 presidential election.

Bristol was alleged to have expressed her enthusiasm for the concept and agreed to work with the Masseys on the project.

Then, everyone became involved in a TV project that was tentatively entitled Helping Hands, a documentary TV series showing the two families working with various charities. Angel Massey, mother of Kyle, who allegedly came up with many of the creative ideas behind Bristol-ogy 101, including having the Masseys and Palins working together, says she was promised a producers role and creative input. Various deals were signed for the participants. The show was purchased by A&E BIO channel and production began somewhere around July, 2011.

By February, 2012, A&E was working with producers on another series entitled Bristol Palin: Life's a Tripp.

To be honest the Massey's should count their lucky stars that they WEREN'T part of Bristol's unreality show. That thing stunk more than the dead lake by their lunatic compound!

And you know from what I read it looks to me like the Massey's had a pretty strong case against the producers of Bristol's craptastic reality show. Therefore I would assume that SOMEBODY had to pay through the ass to get them to drop it.

But of course, like most lawsuits, that involve the Palins, we'll never know!

Before a judge decided whether the contracts between the parties meant arbitration, the parties came to resolution. Details of the settlement have not been made public.

You know the Palins may be one of the most talentless families in America, but getting out of lawsuits seems to be built into their damned DNA.

So he had a claim to what? 50% of a turd? What's half a turd worth? There's a never ending supply, more made every day.

As long as they continue to siphon money from Sarah Pac, they can keep up with their hush money payments to lots of folks. Sickening.

I don't think the money that paid this lawsuit came from the Palins. Read the information again! The suit was not against the Palins personally.

They have been doing it all wrong. They need to develop some new reality series... "Grifting with NO Consequences" or "You Too Can Wriggle your way out of Lawsuits with PAC Money" or "How to Build a House Using Nothing But Scavenged Material from Public Recreational Buildings!"

If Masseys did their research before getting involved with Palins. They would have found all the gates.

However, they probably made out better with the settlement than having had a bombed show.

The Massey's mother, Angel, is an opportunist who was trying to take advantage of the Palin popularity, she got burned, and she deserved it.
I don't see how any self-respecting African American would get involved with the racist Palins who trash the first African American president every time they get.

Krusty is evidently unbanned from c4p - looks like they need her blind fanaticism, because even the other bots are getting a bit tired of the $carah no-show bit. I bet the PAC money drops even more this quarter.

I like the Massey's, but WTF? We all saw that Beefy can neither dance nor act! The Palin's are allergic to "college" and "Bristology:101" sounds like a cheap date. What "talent" did they "believe" Bristol possesses? Tripp was the "star", Beefy got a new cowcatcher chin, What was Tripp's cut in this whole mess?

I just hope the Massey's at least broke even, and maybe learned something about Beefy Leno and the Grifters.

Anylawsuit, ethics complaint, FOIA requests, etc that are filed in Alaska are protected within the Palin bubble. Do they have something on everyone with authority in Alaska?

Tripp became famous when Sarah Palin was picked by McCain to be his vice-presidential running mate in 2008???

I thought he wasn't born until late December 2008? I guess he could have been a famous fetus.

Can't say I have any sympathy for the Masseys. It's not like nobody knew who the Palins were, ten minutes on Google and there in front of them would be Troopergate, and Bristol's fake tabloid engagement/manipulation days before Kyle met her. Guess the dollar signs in their eyes blinded them. Nah, no sympathy. You lie down with bitchez, you get up with fleas. Toxic fleas.

You think that getting out of lawsuits is in the Palin DNA. The next time that SarahPAC has to file a report, check how much money is paid to lawyers.

The Masseys are lucky that Bristol wanted that show all to herself (and Willow, and Gino and Tripp). Bristol put her very bad acting and parenting on display week after week.

Sadly, the producers, rather than the Palins, probably had to pay. Grifters grift - they don't pay

Once again, something involving the Palins turns into chaos/bad luck/turmoil as usual. They are people to run away from. The Palins are creepy, dishonest, perverse, hateful people.

  19. On a positive note of Palin irrelivance: the Senior Ms Palin is no longer the tea party celeb that she once was. Formerly billed as the face of, or leader of the fringe element, Ms Palin is not even mentioned in the latest article:

I hope the Masseys received a large sum of dinero.

    1. Angel Massey is a well-respected person in Hollyweird. I'm sure that she wasn't fond of the idea, but you always strike when the interest is high; remember, the Palin's had uber producer Mark Burnett in their corner, applying pressure.

Footage shot for the original show in the rented house appeared in Bristol's LAT show and sealed the lawsuit. Note however that neither Bristol nor Sarah personally were included in the suit - only the networks and production companies.

Hollyweird is "on" to the Palin's - and wants NOTHING MORE to do with them... and they don't CARE what Mark Burnett or his holy roller wife says about it anymore.

Angel sure does need to muster up some self-respect. How could any self-respecting African American get involved with the Palin racists, a family who trashes our President every chance they get.
And what in the hell is a bristology? Why name it that?

The Palins probably agreed to pay through the nose so Massey wouldn't tell the world he slept with Bristol. I bet he said he will open his mouth about the real Bristol...

The Palins have been so quiet lately. Maybe the lawsuits against all of them and investigations into SarahPac, postage, etc., and IRS are knocking down their doors. I hope they go through all their money on attorneys.

I am glad Kyle and his brother got their settlement. I don't blame them for anything, they are young and easily got snowed by Bristol.

But the Massey mother should have known better. She is a grown woman. She should never gotten herself involved with the Palin bigots, her being a Black woman.
