There were a lot of iconic images captured during yesterday's inaugural but the one that went viral immediately, and is STILL showing up everywhere, is this one.

Oh Bill!

You know giving President Clinton the benefit of the doubt, it COULD have been that he was innocently looking toward the young woman about to sing in a completely non-lecherous fashion. But the mere fact that it has almost universally been seen as "Bill being Bill" is something that Hillary and her possible future campaign are going to have to consider should she decide to run in 2016.

Your thoughts?

What about the red haired lady? She have a lecherous look too? Again, an opportunity to make something out of nothing. Yes, I do love Bill Clinton and Hillary too!

I saw that pic online, too, and thought it was total BS that they would caption it as that! Look at the other people looking at her. Besides, it looks to me like she might have had some kind of slight problem, and the ex-President is looking to see what the holdup was.

Unfortunately, the RePukeLiCons will never let it rest that he was infidel at one point in his life, and they will put it up on the big bell-tower for everyone to remember. Conveniently, they will forget all the miss-step people of the Party of NO have done, especially the 'family values' guys who had trysts with multiple women and/or men. If THEY do it, it is OK. If someone from the Dems does it, it is a felonious crime.

    Awesome.
I've met Bill Clinton, and he is one of the sexiest people in the world. Truly, you cannot take your eyes off him, and the rest of the room just fades away. I am not alone in this... many, many people have said the same thing. He is irresistible, both as a leader and as a man.
Go ahead with your bad self, Bubba. She's purdy.

I've met him twice (once prior to election), and while I can't speak to the sexy part (I'm a straight guy) even before he was elected he was absolutely the focus of EVERYONE in the room.

As a matter of fact, one time his motorcade drove by me as I was walking down Connecticut Avenue and I noticed most people stopped and stared as his limo went by (this was a few blocks from the White House - you see the Presidential Motorcade ALOT if you work there)

I also met him, when he was President, when he visited the college where I was working, and I was involved in the planning. My thought at the time was that he is extremely attractive in person, and very charismatic. I was surprised, because I was not a big Clinton fan (I was not really into politics at all, so just didn't pay much attention.)

Sorry, but he was looking at the person he was talking to and not the woman. This is a non-story trying to become a story. That said, Bill will bring baggage to any attempt on Hillary's part to get elected. Plus, she is just too polarizing. For these reasons, I don't think she should run.

No, if you get a better version of the photo and blow it up, you can see his eyes are lined up on the person in front of him and not the woman.

  5. I think that is a stretch and perpetuating a stereotypical set of talking points....you could say the red headed lady was leering lecherous as well in that manner. I think that he was photobombing!:) Really.

I felt sorry for Michelle Obama having to sit right next to John Boehner! Yuke!

If people want to make something out of something, look at the photos of the Boehners when around the Obamas. Mrs. Boehner is actually snearing at President Obama in one and John Boehner normally ALWAYS has an awful face when photographed looking at our president.

Those photos are far more telling than this one of President Clinton looking at Kelly Clarkston. She did a beautiful job, by the way. So did Beyonce!

Martin Luther King III has never done anything to earn anyone's respect...he & his siblings have lived off MLK's name & legacy ever since they were old enough to sign a contract & put out their hands for a check.

I have tremendous respect for their father, but the kids are a whole different matter, from my experience with them.

  9. Stupid people see things that aren't there all the time. Ezekiel saw a wheel way up in the middle of the air, Dennis Kucinich saw a UFO, but all I see in that picture is a man trying to get a better view of a pretty girl and who amongst all of us with Y-chromosomes has not done that?

He appears to me to be leaning out a bit because he cannot see the performer due to the person in front of him.

  13. Since I posted this I have seen this image show up on both CNN and MSNBC.

Honestly, I noticed that President Clinton seemed to really be engaged in the whole process, it drove me crazy to watch others fiddling around and looking bored throughout the entire program. I can't believe people are going after someone who was being polite to the speakers and performers by actually paying attention to them.

OT Chuck Heath Jr. posted this comment today:

My youngest son asked me this morning, "Dad, what is Martin Luther King Day all about?" I told him all about Dr. King's upbringing in a segregated South, and how he showed amazing courage by sticking his neck out to show the world that we must never judge a person by the color of their skin... rather by their character.
Dr. King paid for his message with his life. He was only 39 years old when he was taken from us.
Thank you Dr. King for your courage and example. May you find peace and happiness in that promised land you saw from the mountaintop.

How old is that kid? And what in the world is Chuck doing as a teacher? It was King's experience growing up in the segregated South? How about the KKK? Lynchings? Rape? Slavery? How about Jim Crow laws preventing African Americans from voting? How about the Supreme Court rulings opening the doors of previously segregated schools? Sticking his neck out? He was the leader of a non-violent Civil Right Movement, born out of the same kind of protests lead by Ghandi in India. How about the brutality of the Southern police using fire hoses and attack dogs which attacked the brave marchers? That's more than sticking your neck out. That's putting your life on the line for a just and noble cause. People trying to register African Americans were killed. Martin Luther King Jr. received a Nobel Peace Prize.

If Chuck's only lesson was to judge a man by his character instead of the color of his skin, he flunked his own test. Yesterday, to honor President Obama's second term, King and Lincoln, Chuck posted an ugly Tea Party video which took the media's portrayal of Obama as Messiah and turned it into something ugly.

Look,Chuck, President Obama didn't call himself a Messiah. That's how the media boost ratings and readership. Your own sister has photos and magazine covers calling her a saint, too. By posting it, you showed your true character, and I saw an ugly, spiteful man who is carrying is sister's grudge from the 2008 election. I also have to wonder why Chuck would post such a juvenile way to honor Martin Luther King Jr. All that I can do is judge Chuck by his character and his actions.

Then his youngest son asked, "Why is that young woman sleeping in your bed? Where's mommy?"

(How old is that kid? Is he in school? If so, why hasn't he studied the legacy of MLK? My children study MLK for a whole month in their elementary school, and actually refer to him quite often during other parts of the year because MLK day is an important celebration that all the kids appreciate...they are in a predominantly white school, by the way).

It was all ginned up faux outrage of course, they knew it, we knew it. The only people who didn't, well they were old and conservative, they spent their whole lives not knowing what the fuck was taking place around them. The part I always found amusing was that when a conservative got caught in a compromising situation it usually involved having someone's cock in his jaw. What a bunch.
