Ann Romney says that she blames the media for her husband’s loss in the 2012 presidential election because the “universally felt opinion” is that reporters wanted President Barack Obama to be re-elected.
“I’m happy to blame the media,” Ann Romney told Fox News host Chris Wallace in an interview that aired on Sunday.
“Do you think the media was in the tank for Barack Obama?” the Fox News host wondered.
“Anytime you’re running for office, you always think you’re being portrayed unfairly,” Ann Romney explained. “And of course on our side, we believe that there’s more bias in favor of the other side. I think that’s a pretty universally felt opinion.”
She added that the the president had not portrayed her husband, former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, fairly during the campaign.
That is such whiny ass bullshit.
The problem with Mitt Romney was that the American people DID get to see the real him, especially in those 47% videos unearthed by Mother Jones.
Before that the Obama campaign had been using the oppositional research done during the Republican primary by Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, and others. But once those tapes came out showing how Romney acted among his peers when he did not realize he was being filmed, THAT drove home the point of who he "really" is.
His wife is just pissed because it never occurred to her that their destiny to be the first Mormons in the White House could have been derailed by one of those darkies.
What did somebody call Ann Romney? "Ann of Clean Stables?"
Simply put we dodged a bullet in 2008, and another one in 2012. Now let's work together to make sure the one aimed at us in 2016 misses its mark as well.
Live-action Fran and Stan Smith -- always such a hoot!
ReplyDeleteWill they go away now that they've had their bullsh*t say?
"You people " lost! Now GET LOST & STFU!
DeleteAnn got to keep her tax reports hidden. She lost the White House. Funny how Ann's forgotten all about the tax dodge. She's got superb selective memory.
DeleteBear in mind an important issue which is that Norquist and the rest of the loser cronies, are hard bent to take over our government. We must always fight them with everything we can.
DeleteI'm sorry...did "spoiled house cat" Ann just WHINNIED...when she laughed! WTF!!!
ReplyDeleteDavid Corn and Jimmy Carter's grandson can NEVER be thanked enough! (oh...and the heroic, brave person who risked their job taping the Mittster's 47% remarks) Heroes these people are...they absolutely swung this election!
ReplyDeleteOh and lets not forget Anonymous for screwing up Rove's attempt to steal election w/ his servers.
DeleteYes the old "Media's fault" b/c the bought off media Actually finally DID report on Mitt's 47% Blunder, MoJo and JC grandson picked up on.
Also the media somehow managed to pick up Mitt's flip-flops and lies.
Amazing.
And lets thank fox news for lying about the polls!
Mittster and Queen "let them eat cake" thought it was all sewed up and were picking out the curtains and furniture for the WH.
Bwhahahahahaa!
Where's Ralfaca?
Hope she is not hamburger at MickyDee's! :(
Leave it to what News Channel to have this interview? FOX of course. The man lost because he is too shady and does not care about anyone but the extremely wealthy. And how many nanny's did she have helping her to raise her boys? Or how many days of employment does she have of under her belt? This woman and her husband and just so far out of touch they are grasping at straws to make themselves appear better.
Delete@12:37 PM:
DeleteAccording forecasts by Nate Silver, and others, Barack Obama was still going to win with, without the 47% tape. But, the tape did help make the contrasts between the two candidates more clearer.
Even without the 47% tape Romney WAS NEVER GOING TO WIN. President Obama was ALWAYS in the lead. Nate Silver, and the whole betting world of Vegas had President Obama in the lead, the whole time.

Exactly. President Obama was always winning even before that tape. I wish people would stop trying to make it seem that President won because of that tape. Nate Silver had President Obama in the lead the whole campaign.

ReplyDeleteHey Gryphen, here's a roundup of Mitt the Twit and Mrs. 'Stop it, this is hard' interview on Fox. He just doesn't get it, still thinks the media screwed them and she is, well, just sickening. Just makes me so glad that they did NOT win and that President Obama remained the president. These two are disasterous jokes.

Ann Romney: ‘I Am Happy To Blame The Media’ For Mitt’s 2012 Loss
Ann Romney went on to charge that the press was against her husband from the get-go saying that the media was partially to blame for her husband’s negative public image.
“He was not given a fair shake. People weren’t allowed to see him for who he really was,” she said.
After being asked by Wallace if she blames the media she said, “I am happy to blame the media.”

Romney To Fox: ‘It Kills Me’ To Not Be President; Obama Is Still ‘Campaigning’
Romney proceeded to sound like a presidential candidate knocking President Obama for his handling of the sequester crisis and “campaigning.”

Mitt Romney Blames Minorities For Costing Him The Election
On Fox News Sunday today, Mitt Romney blamed minorities for costing him the election, and poor people who like free things for his defeat:
ROMNEY: We did very well with the majority population, but not with minority populations, and that was a failing, that was a real mistake.
CHRIS WALLACE: Why do you think that was?
ROMNEY: Well, I think the Obamacare attractiveness and feature was something we underestimated, particularly among lower incomes. And, uh, just didn’t do as good a job in connecting with that audience as we should have.
http://www.politicususa.com/mitt-romney-blames-minorities-costing-election.html
The comment sections are pretty funny and poignant, as everyone is calling him out on his bullshit excuses.
Mitt did well with the 'majority populations'?
DeleteHuh? Like women who are the majority? Think again, Mitt. Or for the first time. You GOP assholes STILL don't get it, do you?
No, Anne is correct, they did not "connect" with the lower income people as they should have. They consider "low income" anything less than $200,ooo a year! Did it ever occur to them that they are not likeable people, in any way, shape or form? I guess it doesn't Go home and play with your car elevator, the people have spoken.
DeleteWhy does he calling voters "the audienc That's one of his problems - not thinking fo them as people.
DeleteOf course she's "happy to blame the media." The blame lies solely with the two of them and even when they're not running for office they prove just how fucking out of touch they are.
DeleteHas anyone asked those two if they regret not releasing their tax returns?
ReplyDeleteIt's kinda silly now to say how much it kills you not to be in the White House when you were not even willing to perform that time-honored tradition to get there.
Biggest mistake was forgetting to give KKKarl Rove his pre-primary hummer. Either Mitt or Ann or Tagg. Any and all of 'em. No one's happy unless Unkkkel KKKarl is happy.
DeleteI would add... time honored tradition by his own father. But apparently, he didn't honor his own father with that tradition.
DeleteGo dance with a horsey, Bad Lovey.
ReplyDeleteThe horse declines the offer.
DeleteWow, you can really see the anger bubbling up underneath. She is not a nice lady, and it's juuuust sneaking out of her here, despite her best efforts to look sweet. Such assertiveness would be fine if she had any skills or experience of her own, but since all this bitch has ever done is be a rich housewife, I have no time for her anger. Get over it, honey. The rest of us have.
ReplyDeleteOf course, she's probably a very nice lady to "her own." I'm sure there are plenty of privileged white Mormons who would say Anne's a lovely person, but anyone else (i.e., anyone who disagrees with her or lives their life in a way she deems disagreeable) is clearly going to earn her derision and some vicious payback.
To be fair, they're also blaming minorities.
ReplyDeleteYou're right, that is much more fair.
DeleteWhat was I thinking?
Women voters aren't a minority. And women favored Obama all the way. I guess the Romneys never looked at the demographic breakdown post-election. Gender gap was sizable as well.
DeleteAnn Romney isn't in the White House where she 'deserves' to be... It's Obama's fault.
DeleteThe housing market cratered and unemployment went through the ceiling from 2007-2008... It's Obama's fault.
Todd Palin is a skookum pimp and came in 5th in his little snowmobile race... It's Obama's fault.
Sarah Palin wee-wees in her proverbial panties. That really is Obama's fault.
lol 1:47. Pretty sure the commies under my bed are Obama's fault also too!
DeleteYes, 2:15. I should've known when the pizza delivery guy gave me back 5.00 of the tip, saying that was "way too much". It was snowing so I said that I insisted, because he saved us a trip getting out in the messy weather.
DeleteWhen I opened one of the boxes a couple of minutes later... You guessed it! It had been dropped on the side and half of the topping was in a big pile. The first thing I said was, "Thanks Obama. It's all your fault!"
I guess the POTUS was the skookum gettaway driver. I think I heard the engine revving while I was paying. lol
Anon 4:49.... Hahaha...
DeleteThat reminds me of the time I opened the door for pizza delivery and the guy had the pizza tucked up under his arm. I was dumbfounded and didn't say anything. Of course when we opened the box all the toppings had fallen off.
We called the pizza shop, not really to complain because it was still hot, easy to rebuild, and delicious, but just to let them know. And they said, "Sorry... we keep telling him not to carry it that way". Hopefully he never delivered to any angry gun-toting republicans.
I tip my hat to you pizza delivery guy, you did it your way.

Oh, Ann! When will you and more importantly Mitt, take responsibility for your failures during this campaign? Your husband Mitt ENDORSED Richard Mourdock (who lost even in a conservative state) who had very controversial comments on rape. Mourdock lost several supporters from those bizarre comments--yet Mitt continued to endorse him. Hence the loss of the female vote Ann!
ReplyDeleteThen there was the debates and it was obvious that Mitt could not handle speaking the truth--the man lied so much it became a joke nation wide. Even Newt Gingrich called Mitt a big liar. Mitt also question the debate clock--that is scary--really--the clock is biased to Obama?? Come on.
Ann, you have nobody to blame but yourself. Your husband outspent Obama 13:1 and ran ads that by far drowned out that fictional liberal bias in the media.
Come on Ann, take responsibility for your loss--isn't that what you always asked Americans to do during the campaign???
Man Oh Man, it is just amazing how these people live in a bubble.
I was not aware that Queen Ann was running for the WH. She could NEVER hold a candle to the Flotus we have in office. Our Lady Michelle is far, far better than Ann Romney. Maybe since Queen Ann likes to be on TV she could get a job at Fox? I personally HATE that smirk on Mitt, he thinks he is smiling.
DeleteI call Mrs. Romney: Queen Ann the Pretender.
DeleteTHE ROMNEY'S AVOID TAKING PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITY BY THROWING A SELF-SERVING PITY PARTY
ReplyDelete1. If voters didn't get a chance to get to know Mitt for "who he was," it's because he wasn't very forthcoming about who he was. In fact he was as evasive as a cat trying to avoid a bath. He contradicted himself at every turn---and major contradictions, from far left to far right. Maybe voters would have gotten to know him better if could answer a straight question.
2. The campaign wouldn't let Mitt be Mitt? Who exactly was in charge of the campaign? If it wasn't Mitt then why not? He could have changed that by letting them know that he was the one giving the orders. I can't imagine that "give 'em hell" Harry Truman would whine about not being allowed to be himself. With the Romneys the buck stops everywhere but with themselves, apparently.
3. The media wouldn't let Mitt be Mitt? Well, then I guess Mitt is just a timid and ineffectual man. Maybe it's a good thing he lost. I seriously doubt the other leaders of our country or the leaders around the world would let Mitt be Mitt if they could force him to be what they wanted him to be. Apparently Mitt has problems asserting himself. That's not exactly a ringing endorsement for someone who wants to be president.
4. Liberal bias in the media? The media doesn't have a liberal bias. They have an enlightened bias. They apply reason to the issues of the day, not ideology. They follow in the tradition of the Founding Fathers, who were men of the Enlightenment, the purpose of which was to apply reason to everything and always question your assumptions by comparing them to the arguments of other thinkers. Republicans are the ideologues. They can't handle counter-arguments and dismiss them outright. So-called "liberal" journalists don't have that luxury. Their editors force them to continually challenge their assumptions and support their arguments.
I suspected that the Romneys would eventually get around to making fools of themselves when they started talking about their campaign loss, but this is far worse than I could have expected. In fact I think Ann Romney's comments prove that we did get to know who Romney was. His central feature is an almost pathological proclivity for evasiveness and excuse-making, and it still is. Meet the new Mitt: same as the old Mitt.
#2 and #3 are the most frightening as far as I'm concerned. If he has that little backbone and authority during his own campaign, how the hell did he expect to run the country?
DeleteOh, that's right...he never thought past the image of his ownself on stage at Inauguration Day and sitting in the nice cushy armchair in the Oval Office. It WAS his turn, after all!
We would have ended up in the same situation we were in during Shrub the Second's Reign of Disaster - with someone else actually pulling the strings of power from behind the curtains.
Gives me the chills just thinking about it.
It is also a universally felt opinion that you Ann Romney would have been a terrible first lady.
ReplyDeleteIt's universally felt that a strong Sarah Palin endorsement would've brought Romney a landslide win (Universal at the Sea of Pee for their remaining 15 fanbots and 2 dozen dock puppets). C4P just liked Obama better. lol
DeletePrincess Ann might look to their kid's announcement that Mitt didn't really want to be president anyway. That alone should make Americans' blood run cold as Romney would have been under the direct control of the Wall Street puppeteers.
ReplyDeleteDear Anne.
ReplyDeleteIt was not a "universally felt opinion" that the media was biased against Mitt. If anything, the media was guilty of discounting and downplaying his continuous lies and contradictions.
And your insistence that Mitt not "being given a fair shake, that people weren't really allowed to see him for who he was" is just a bunch of malarkey. Your husband campaigned for the Presidency for 19 months and We The People saw him for exactly who he was - which is why you ended up going to Disneyland as opposed to the White House.
Millions of people throughout this nation and all over the world are still saying R.I.P. (Romney Isn't President) and rejoicing about the fact that YOU will never be able to add FLOTUS to your resume.
The *universal* opinion at my house is that Ann is a spoiled b*tch that we're happy that we won't have to listen to her complaining and whining for 4 years. After a week or two, her attitude gets very tiresome. Go buy yourself something and take it home to look at it, lady. We have nothing here for you but scorn, so take your self-pity back wherever you've had it for the past 4 months.
DeleteHoney, you've had 8 years to "let Mitt be Mitt" in the public eye. This wasn't his first rodeo, you know.
ReplyDeleteEverybody likes to assign blame but only rarely do they look within to see if there's a problem with themselves that should be corrected.
I'm very glad Romney lost. I do NOT like this woman at all.
So Queen Ann’s Arrogance rises again. Blame the Media for your loss? Come on, it wasn’t the media who said Corporations Are People. It wasn’t the media in a debate said he can’t have illegals working for him cause he’s running for office for Pete’s sake. It wasn’t the media who insulted all Americans with his 47% behind closed doors speech. It wasn’t the media who opened those foreign bank accounts. It wasn’t the media who hid those tax returns and did everything they could to make it sound like they had something to hide. And finally, it wasn’t the media who flip flopped on every single issue. Ann and Mitt and their kids can blame the media or whomever they want but it was them, not anyone else’s fault Mitt lost.
ReplyDeleteOf course she is happy to "blame the media." It's a lot easier than taking a long, hard look in the mirror and across the room at her spouse and placing the blame where it really belongs. Face it: the voting public rejected your husband, his message and his agenda. All the whining and blaming others does not and will not change that fact.
ReplyDeleteWell, let's be honest - her elitist don't-let-those-dirty-peasants-touch-me attitude didn't help.
DeleteIf she had been a warmer, friendlier person, she might have helped humanize Mittens a bit, but the coldness she exuded just made him all the more unapproachable and unappealing.
You are right, Ann. It was SOOOO difficult not to pick your draft-dodging, tax-return hiding, offshore bank accounted, company harvesting husband.
ReplyDeleteAnn is one of a few people that make me puke when I see her on TV.
ReplyDeleteAnn dear ... please go give your horse a blow job and leave us the fuck alone. You and your tax cheat husband should just retire with your money in the Cayman Islands.
Karma will catch up with you for all the people Mitt fired and stole money from.
>>Ann dear ... please go give your horse a blow job and leave us the fuck alone.
DeleteOMG, my keyboard is now ruined with my spitting out my coffee...that made me sit up and laugh my ass off.
HAHAHAHA I wish you had a nic. hahahaha
DeleteNot only did we get to know Mittery, Queen Anne; we got a pretty good stomach full of you too!
ReplyDeleteOh, believe me Ann. We became well aware of the sniveling, prevaricating elitist your husband is. Flip-flopper is now forever synonymous with the name Romney.
Ahhhh, the woman who once said publicly that she "didn't feel rich", now says it was the media's fault her husband didn't win. This out of touch woman with palatial homes all over the country, a couple of Cadillacs to call her own, a $25, 000 horse, a garage with an elevator for her car, nine hundred dollar blouses, five sons with trust funds of 100 millions dollars for each, has never had to work a day in her life, ever.......says she doesn't feel rich. How out of touch with how real america lives can one woman get.
ReplyDeleteTo have all that and make a statement to the people of this country that are out of work, lost their homes, have no health insurance, can't feed their families or educate their kids and tell them you don't feel rich, shame on you Lady Ann.
It is not surprising that this same woman claims the media is to blame for her husbands failure to become President and doesn't even give one thought to the fact that she and her husband, her sons and the Romney campaign trashed talked the President, made disingenuous TV ads and mock and demeaned and lied about every opponent Romney faced.
Guess Sir Romney and Lady Ann and the little prince-lings believe that all their money and privilege gives them the right to dish it out but do have to take it when it's dished back. Romney's = lots of money, but no class.
Money can buy position and power, but it can't buy class, integrity, and compassion.
DeleteIf she doesn't feel rich, imagine how the rest of us feel!
DeleteIf Mitt who ran in 2012 had been the Mitt we saw as governor of Massachusetts--the fiscal and social moderate, leaning to liberal--he might well have managed to take down a sitting president. He allowed himself to become the prisoner of the hard right, a position for which he was ill-suited and one guaranteed to turn off a majority of the voters. He was silly to let that happen, and his wife is positively green with envy and purple with sour grapes.
ReplyDeleteYou're wrong. The Mitt we saw, the 47 percent Mitt, that was the real Mitt, concerned to keep his, his children's, and his backers preferential tax prerogatives. This man is taxic.
Delete114 No. Only an idiot would vote for him. MA was wrong to vote for him too, mitt the carpetbagger destroyed the educational system. he's a poor professional liar, well he isn't any better than any other gop. Ratched.
Deletebaggers/gop-same people-don't have anything close to the level of President Obama, VP Biden or SOS Clinton.
Blame the media all you want. It has nothing to do with the facts that the American people did see six or seven different Mitts and decided that none of them were qualified to be POTUS.
ReplyDeleteThe Romney alternative reality continues. Sure it was the media's fault: they reported what Romney said and did--that's what lost the election. Shame on them for reporting the facts.
ReplyDeleteLiving in their privileged 1% cocoon, the Romneys haven't got a clue about how damaging their failure to release their tax returns and the haughty dismissal of 47% of Americans were. Not to mention the "corporations are people", "binders full of women", and "you people" remarks.
No! Blaming the innocent 47% did! Your husband presented an irrational Bush infused platform that only regurgitated what the American public had already rejected! His lies and lack of public social understanding coupled with ignorance of the working public's plight is what alienated him from the rest of America! You my dear need to wake up! You both lost by a land slide because you both live in a bubble!
ReplyDeleteNah. Don't blame that tape. It's his policies.
DeleteBiggest lie Ann just said, "Mitt cares about the American people".
ReplyDeleteI was expecting a lightening bolt to strike her dead.
REALLY! SHEESH!
DeleteShe's such a liar. Queen Anne, Let them eat cake! Those people!
Bitch!
Mitt Romney Still Bragging About Winning White People, Blaming Minorities
ReplyDeleteAllow me to clarify Mr. Romney’s statement. President Obama won the election by 5 million votes, with 51% of the popular vote, so when Romney says he did well with the majority population, he means white people. President Obama actually did better with the majority of the population.
Of course, getting clobbered isn’t exactly a “mistake,” as much as it is the result of mistakes. Wallace asked him what, exactly, was the mistake that Romney made?
“Well, I think the Obamacare attractiveness and feature was something we underestimated in… particularly lower incomes and, we just didn’t do as good a job at connecting with that audience as we should have.”
This is essentially the same thing he said the week after the election, when he told a conference call of donors that the President had won reelection by bribing minorities and women with “gifts” from the government, which, itself, sounded a lot like those 47% comments about greedy poor people feeling entitled to shelter and food. Maybe Romney’s biggest mistake was not waiting to run until after the Roberts court guts the Voting Rights Act.
Here’s the clip, with bonus zinger by Chris Wallace, from Fox News Sunday:

DeleteEntitled Until The Bitter End, Ann Romney Blames The Media For Mitt’s Landslide Loss
ReplyDelete...It was entitlement overload in this interview. Mitt Romney blamed minorities who want free stuff for his defeat, while Ann Romney blamed the media and President Obama’s unfair campaign against her husband. Ann Romney is so much like Sarah Palin that it is almost scary. Palin has spent the years since the 2008 election blaming the media for her defeat in 2008.
It wasn’t the media’s fault that the Romneys were completely unlikable. It wasn’t the media’s fault that Ann Romney spent her time on the campaign trail torn between acting entitled to the presidency, and pitying herself. The media didn’t worry that Mitt Romney was losing his mind on the campaign trail. The media didn’t lecture the Republican Party that they were lucky to have Mitt.
The reason why Ann and Mitt’s denial matters is because it is reflective of the attitude within the Republican Party. After a brief moment of reflection, the Republicans have gone back to making excuses for their lack of popularity. It wasn’t that Mitt Romney had terrible ideas. Nope, the problem is that the media was out to get the Romneys. The Romneys reflect the belief within much of the Republican Party that there was nothing wrong with nominating a candidate who had no idea how regular Americans live.
Even after being soundly rejected by the voters, the Romneys remain wrapped in their own arrogance. The problem for Republicans is that Ann Romney’s excuse making reflects the prevalent attitude within the Republican Party.
http://www.politicususa.com/entitled-bitter-end-ann-romney-blames-media-mitts-landslide-loss.html
Romney cast himself as an elite with his 47% video. Ann wanted to make him look "real" in an interview so she shook him. He was wooden and hardly moved. Ann's $990. t-shirt only reenforced their elite, 1% status. Claiming that horseback riding cured (helped?) her MS, Ann had stables of horses, maybe eight or more in two different stables. She joked that Mitt had no idea how much money she spent on her horse back riding. We can guess from fancy Rafalca, in the elite sport of dressage. (Why is that a "sport" and wrestling isn't a sport?) Ann acted the part of the entitled wife, "It's our turn now." And, she looked down her nose at everyone else, "You people have gotten all that you are going to get out of us."
ReplyDeleteYes, Ann is right. Reporting any of those snobbish actions is the fault of the media. How dare they portray Ann as the Queen that she thought that she was.
From what I understand, Ann did not actually ride her horses, she just owned them. Nor did she ride them in the olympics.
DeleteThe damn media insisted on reporting each and every of Romney's flip-flops, back flips and outright lies.
ReplyDeleteAnn Romney told Chris Wallace on Fox News Sunday that said she is “mostly over” her husband Mitt’s loss in the 2012 presidential election and that the media was unfair to him during the campaign. Romney said that she is “Happy to blame the media” for his loss.
ReplyDelete“‘I’m mostly over it. But Not completely. You have moments where you go back and feel the sorrow of the loss, and, so, yeah, I think we are not mostly there yet,” she said, referencing the Princess Bride.
Mitt Romney declined to second guess his campaign saying that he is only focused on the future.
“I am like a she-lion when it comes to defending Mitt. I know his heart, I know his abilities. I know he would have been a fabulous president and I mourn the fact that he is not there. It would have been much better for America if he had been there right now,” she said.
“I think that any time you are running for office you always think that you are being portrayed unfairly, and, you know, we — of course, on our side believe there is more bias in favor of the other side. I think that, you know, that is a pretty universal,” she said.
Watch below clip via Fox

I think the biggest media malpractice of the 2012 campaign was how they kept saying that Ann was likable and that she was his "secret weapon." That couldn't have been further from the truth. She came off as a mean Desperate Housewife bitch and no one I know -- NO ONE -- actually likes her.
Delete"Liberal media bias" -- translation: Mitt is incapable of accepting full responsibility for his own mistakes, failures, and shortcomings.
ReplyDeleteAnd Ann, who is accustomed to telling others what to do, is still indignant and outraged that lowly citizens of meager means and limited social stature were even allowed to have a voice (and a vote) in deciding her husband's fate.
Ann Romney is almost as thin-skinned and as poor of a person taking responsibility as Sarah Palin is. And that's pretty damn bad. They're both not only losers, but poor sports lacking grace or dignity.
ReplyDeleteAnn just looks a little bit younger and prettier (and a whole lot healthier) than Sarah. Otherwise, they could be twins.
Ann is as thin skinned as Palin. Neither accept responsibility for anything.
DeleteThe only difference between the two of them -- Romney wears more expensive clothing -- beyond that -- not a difference in that they both lie, blame everything on someone else, yadda, yadda, yadda.....the list too long to post!!
You're so right, 3:37!
DeleteSarah Palin is Ann Romney in a pair of zip-crotch jeans and a ratty old wig!
ya..pretty close, but do we have any proof Queen Anne faked a birth after a tubal ligation and cauterisation? Seems a major difference to me.
DeleteYa wanna know what your problem is, Gryphen? You never look for the good side of people.
ReplyDeleteHere's a perfect example. You look at the Romneys and see nothing but horrible, severe conservative, selfish, privileged, over-rich, entitled, inadequate, thin-skinned, dishonest, prevaricating, phonies. Ok, sure, I'll grant you that. They're all those things.
But that's where you stop and where I continue on to try to find something good to say about them. Yeah, I guess that does make me a better person.
But, I digress.
I believe that history will look on Mittens in a FAR more favorable way than libruls like you will give him credit for now. Of course, I'm talking about his ability to personify the previously amorphous insult of 'douchebag'.
Before Mittens, douchebag was just something we said. We knew it wasnt good, but we didnt really know why. Now, thanks to Willard Millard "Mittens" Romney, we KNOW in our very souls what a douchebag is. HE'S A DOUCHEBAG!
You can whine about how horrible Mittens is, but as a proud patriotic American, I want to stand tall and salute the worst presidential candidate in modern history! I want to stand on the highest hill in town or even a sturdy box or an old milk carton, face Salt Lake City and proudly proclaim at the top of my lungs, "HEY, LORD AND LADY DOUCHEBAG, THANKS FOR NOTHING!!"
"I believe that history will look on Mittens in a FAR more favorable way than libruls like you will give him credit for now. "

I'm ready to work on 2016 after we all work our asses off and vote in 2014 courtesy of the Rethugs and their 'rigging' it. All the gerrymandering and the photo IDs. We have our work cut out for 2014. We have to get Dems out to vote -- seniors, students, women, Latino, etc. -- as far too long in the midterms, people stay home. Not this time.
ReplyDeleteIt's really simple...for the first time in Mitt's and Ann's lives, the underlings were able to tell them they couldn't have what they wanted...it was always the other way around

Buncha pricks here seem to really have it in for Anne. Its not ironic that the crap regurgitated here resembled the exact same crap spewed in the media. How original we libs are. Not once have I seen anyone's comments include anything about the debilitating disease that Anne suffers from. Maybe if you had digested some real news throughout the campaign instead of just watching Jon Stewart or that rug-munchin dyke on MSLSD, then you might be able to say something that resembles the truth. Seriously, this bile-filled blog is where you all belong, and each boneheaded comment is a dead giveaway for your sources of news.
DeleteY'all are some truly sick people to make fun of Anne's disease and the ways it affects her. And btw, the horse was only purchased because her doctor thought it would be good physical therapy for her cancer. Of course you wont here Jon, or MSLSD, or "thrill up my leg" Chris Matthews ever point that out.
Its so painfully disgusting how liars, idiots, and morons have multiplied so fast and gained some control.
Idiocracy, here we come.
Here's an idea... divide the country and the debt in half. The liars, idiots, and morons can take your half of the debt and go live with the Obamas. The rest of us will have the Romneys lead our half.
Within 5 years the Obamanites will be so severely corrupt, run into the ground, and will be borrowing and begging from the Romneyians.
Ok, maybe that's a stretch. Eight years, max... but I would hope never.
Thats where hard core business experience, the founder of Staples, and the man who saved the Salt Lake City Olympics would have helped this nation, especially compared to... a community organizer.
12:47 - that was some funny satire you wrote there! She got the "horsey" as "therapy" for her MS. The debilitating disease she suffers from is "Entitlement". Mitt's "business experience" was robbing jobs from Venture Capitalism, yeah Staples and the Olympics were quasi successes, but Romney never put an honest day's work in his life. He was born with a silver spoon in his mouth. The only "hard core" business experience he had was inheriting wealth, destroying jobs, evading taxes and lies about being "severely conservative"
DeleteWhen I survived cancer, I had a family to raise and a job to do five days a week. Ann had the best insurance, the best help and all the time in the world to have a pity party.
But the proof's in the pudding, Obama won twice, get used to it.
I do not care for Ann Romney and didn't when her husband was running. She would have made a horrid first lady and doesn't have nearly the personality and knowledge as does First Lady Michelle Obama! Thank God we have President Obama and VP Biden running our country for their second term.
ReplyDeleteI just wish the obstructionists in Congress would stop their bullshit! I so, so hope many, many Republicans are voted out of office in the two upcoming elections - in Congress, on the state level and in the cities throughout our nation.

DeleteMitt tells what most people call lies all the time. Remember this "minority outreach effort" from his 2008 Primary campaign? Marching with Martin Luther King in Mitt's whitebread suburb?
ReplyDelete"In the most-watched speech of his political career, speaking on “Faith in America” at College Station, Texas, earlier this month, Mitt Romney evoked the strongest of all symbolic claims to civil-rights credentials: “I saw my father march with Martin Luther King.”
He has repeated the claim several times recently, most prominently to Tim Russert on Meet the Press. But, while the late George W. Romney, a four-term governor of Michigan, can lay claim to a strong record on civil rights, the Phoenix can find no evidence that the senior Romney actually marched with King, nor anything in the public record suggesting that he ever claimed to do so.
Nor did Mitt Romney ever previously claim that this took place, until long after his father passed away in 1995 — not even when defending accusations of the Mormon church’s discriminatory past during his 1994 Senate campaign."

Delete@3:31pm: ROFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!
DeleteIf the media did indeed tell thetruth about Mitt Romney, and if the media investigated his tax evasion as it should, mitt would have lost to jerry Sandusky. As it is, we only got Mitt's own, honest opinion about us, the 47 percent to decide. And we decided
ReplyDeleteOH It wasn't only 47% of us, it was 51%. I think he underestimate us.
DeleteAnn's logic is unsound. Fox News Channel has roughly half of all viewership. The Wall Street Journal has roughly 2 million readers, the largest of any newspaper. Both Fox and WSJ are basically loyal GOP operations, no question about that. It seems to me that conservative media organs dominate the market. Facts are a stubborn thing.
ReplyDeleteThe "47% video" underlines what I've been saying for some time now:
ReplyDeleteIt is becoming more and more difficult for politicians to LIE to us because of the plethora of cameras that exists in the 21st century.
If you're an asshole, eventually someone is going to get a video of you being your (asshole) self and put it on youtube.
At that point, the only people that will vote for you are other assholes.
Ann, on the other hand, doesn't need to be "caught off-guard". Just let her talk. She doesn't know how to hide it (or doesn't care):
She's a rich-bitch assholette -- and it comes through loud and clear every time she opens her mouth.

I'll NEVER live long enough to see this country crawl out of the hole it is now in with all this deficit and neither will any of you... and it's still climbing fast! You blamed Bush for the 4 years before Obama took office... and rightfully so. Who do you blame for the disaster of these PAST 4 years? This economy SUCKS no matter what the media tells you. Look around... things are definitely NOT better in any way, shape or form. More and more store closings and layoffs just this past month! Take what you can, people, and God forbid you work for anything! Just let every one else do the work so you can keep sitting on your asses and keep collecting! UGH! You people are truly stupid... and if you can't find a job and are actually trying to... blame it on the CURRENT ass in office! He's just a windbag full of empty promises...

DeleteOH, SSSHUT UP! I blame IDIOTS like YOU, for giving that MORON BUSH 2 TERMS to fuck up the economy (and, just about everything else!), and create the debt you dumb right-wing asshole are always bitching about! You didn't give a crap about spending, and debt, when BUSH was in there! And, no the debt is not "rising." The debt is the least of this country's problems.
The economy is no longer a "disaster." It's getting better, but the republicans are about the SCREW all that up, thanks to their sequester crap! I personally hope you don't live long enough. And, don't tell me, what the hell I'm going to do! The 'Big Bad Debt' doesn't keep me awake at night! Who do I blame for the "disaster" of these past 4 years? First, the "disaster" is OVER. The economy is not perfect, but it is better than it was the last time we had a republican president! The economy doesn't suck as bad as it used to. I'll take slow improvement any day, over Willard Mitt Romney making things worse, FASTER!
Things are too, better in different ways, shape, and form: the economy is now adding jobs, the economy is growing, the housing market is starting to improve, consumer sentiment is up, and the stock market is soaring, etc. Those things are better, you are just in denial. Things would be getting better, a lot faster, if republicans would get out of the way, and stop trying sabotage the economy! The republicans haven't done shit to try to make things better.
"Just let everybody else do all the work, so you can keep sitting all your asses, and keep collecting!" Wow, that sounds just like the worthless in congress, who waste our tax dollars, by sitting on their ass doing NOTHING! You also described that unemployed grifter $arah Palin, who happens to come from ALASKA, the biggest welfare state (which happens to be a REPUBLICAN state) in the country! It is mostly hypocritical republicans in red states who are "collecting" from the government, FYI.
YOU are truly stupid! Try turning off Fox News, and do your homework, before you start shooting your stupid mouth off!
ALL politicians are "wind bags full of empty promises." But, it isn't a crime. For a "wind bag full of "empty promises" Barack Obama is the most legislatively accomplished president since FDR, even more than Saint Ronald Reagan.
If I were unemployed, I would mostly be blaming the lazy DO-NOTHING republican ASSES in congress, because it is THEIR job to pass legislation. Those asses made empty promises to create jobs in 2010, but they done nothing! The G.O.P. has voted to repeal Obamacare 34 times, and haven't passed a single jobs, bill! So, there you have it! I think I covered all your nonsense. Now, sit down, and STFU, you ASS!
Whatever, troll. If you'd directed those comments toward the Republicans in Congress, you might have had some credibility here.

if some of you would look at the facts you would see that the deficit has gone down consistently since the President has been in office. you can say it was lower during bush but the fact is he didn't even include the wars in the deficit so you need to do more research before you blame the president for the economic woes, if congress is so concerned about the way things are going why don't they bring their dead asses back and do some work instead of trying to keep the president from doing his and then complaining when he takes some time to do something to relax? they keep running back home to do what? they made it clear that they have no interest in the people of the country just the party. never do they say they are doing anything for the good of the country but for the party because they are afaid they are going to loose seats in the next election and don't want to be primaried. well guess what we are going to get out there and do our damnedest to get the jerks out and someone in that is at least willing to work with the other party.

DeleteI have spent this entire weekend working overtime, because the company that I own is currently working on several big projects that have to be completed by March 15th. We are working on four big projects and 3 little ones. The last time that we had this much work in January and February was 2007. That was the year the recession really began. I am thrilled about having to work overtime, because it really makes me hopeful for the real busy season, that should get started in about April, and carry on through the rest of the year. Having started our business in 2000, just before the election of the worst president ever, we are hopeful that this will be our best year ever! I even gave two guys a raise today! In the first quarter! Thank You, President Obama!
Have you heard about the recent record setting gains in the stock market? Have you looked at the statement from your 401K recently? Have you heard about all the dollars the federal government has recovered from perpetrators of medicare and other fraud? I love how these trolls believe that the only people who voted for Pres. Obama are those who are on welfare! My husband and I both voted for him, both times and we just finished our taxes for this year and noticed that we paid $85,000 in taxes last year! And you know what? Ann Romney is right. Our media is so liberal and one sided, it's frightening. They did everything they could to spin it for Obama and they hated on Romney. The Romney's are great people and certainly have better character than the Obama's who are leading us down the road of socialism...which by the way is fine with the 47 percent.
ReplyDeleteAnn Romney is a rich, entitled BITCH. It's nothing more than sour grapes. Mitt Romney has run for office FOUR times, and has won only once. Barack Obama isn't the only person Mitt Romney has lost an election to. Get your head out of your ass.
DeleteThe media would have NEVER let Barack Obama get away with not releasing his tax returns, the way they let Mitt Romney get away with it. The media didn't have to "spin" anything for Barack Obama. Mitt Romney's crappy campaign, and lack of likeability are his own fault! Mitt Romney is a piece of shit, and Americans saw right through him.
Even the republican base didn't want him.
The republican base nominated him, only after they ran out "anybody but Romney" candidates. How are "the Obama's" leading us down the road to socialism? Michelle Obama is the First Lady, for fucks sake. The First Lady doesn't govern, stupid. It's funny how you conservatives didn't have a problem when BUSH was "leading us down the road to socialism" for 8 years! His brand of socialism wrecked the economy.
Conservatives love socialism, as long as it's the rich taking from the working-class. Mitt Romney got rich off socialism! In case you forgot, Mitt Romney won 47% of the vote. The 47% of the country that is fine with Mitt Romney's type of socialism.
The Obama's have class. The Romney's have proven that money can't buy class. The Romney's are assholes, and deserved to lose.
The Romneys are not great people. They are rich, entitled, spoiled folks that live in a gated community.
DeleteWhen you've been handed everything in life and don't have to ever worry about housing, food, health care, or paying for your pair of twin Cadillacs, it shows in your attitude.
Ann's comment in one interview about "we've shown YOU PEOPLE all you need to know" about their taxes summed it up quite nicely
Ann's crocodile tears about losing the election were nothing more than lamenting her loss of ultimate status as the Red Queen, and she and Mitt were utterly blind as to why people didn't like them.
Kind of like Paylin's mother wondering "why do people hate $arah?
The Mormon white horse prophecy about Mitt came to a bitter end, revealing one more fact about the cult that they adhere to

DeleteI find it so funny that the ones that think the media is so liberal are the ones that listen to Fox, Limbaugh, etc all day, just like my parents do. And you can't tell them any different because that is what is poured into their little brains all day, every day! If they would ever change the channel they would discover that is a talking point that the extreme right likes to use when things don't go their way!

Hey, you snob, Media just published videos of your husband..opening his mouth! Enough said!
ReplyDeleteShe's probably absolutely right about one thing. Had Romney been in the White House there likely would not be sequestration. Congress would have managed to keep shifting the tax burden to those who can afford it least and given themselves and their buddies the money heisted from the rest of us. Her husband would have just signed into law budgets ala Ryan. Our president wants those folks who have more to pay up a little.
ReplyDeleteAnn's only accomplishment as First Lady would have been beating Nancy Reagan as WFE-Worst FLOTUS Ever, something I don't think would have been possible.

My theory, formulated in the primaries, was that Mittens did not want to be President (couldn't afford the pay cut, didn't want the scrutiny), because surely he couldn't be stupid enough to be his own worst enemy, time after time after time after time. Maybe Ann never got the memo.
